Thanks to David for the save. Watching Sunday morning and David reminded us about Mother’s Day. I said “Oh Crap” and ran to town for cards and chocolate. Got them on the table before my wife realized it. THANKS DAVID!!!!!

Man those high speed planters are awesome to watch up close. I can easily remember we used an AC two row no til planter and Dad was flying if he could go 5 MPH. Usually planted at 3.5.
George sure is good with the electrical stuff, takes a good mechanic to troubleshoot 12V systems.

We're so wet in western Il that I can barely get on a lawn to spray. Another good video! By far the most transparent farming channel on youtube. Lots of great info on this channel!

Northern Indiana is not dry at all, I would say in WABASH county around us I would guess only 10% planted, many of our neighbors haven’t even started yet, hopefully this week will be better, stay safe and thanks for sharing

I run a DJI T40. Have killed several cover crops
Of rye with it when conditions were too wet for the ground rig. I ran 40oz of roundup at 3gpa and have smoked it every time. If temps
Are cool you might have to bump the rate but I’ve had great luck with it.

Watching the test trials is fun. Something I learned from watching the farmers for so many years. Plant several different brands & varieties to see what works best in our soils. Planted 30 green bean plants in succession last year, several kinds, not that it mattered. The Vet put my labs on a diet, so I grew all the beans to add to their food. I didn’t put one lb up for winter. They don’t care what kind of bean, tough or not. That & volunteer cherry tomatoes. 😂

These guys that seed at 5 miles a hour just baffle me. Theres no reason to go that slow. It’s like having two seeders being able to seed at 10 mph. Fields are looking in good shape.

I have seen people with new high speed planters decide to seed everything traveling under 6 miles a hour. Guess they think it won’t do a good job or something. Travelling at 10. But I have tested Swedish g the crop at different speeds and the crop grows the same at 10 miles a hour compared to 5 mph.

Southern Tippecanoe .49" this month and that was in many small showers, biggest single rain was .25. Most planting done here, lots of corn and beans up and growing well. Sorry to say not my first planting of sweetcorn, saved seed 1 year too long and germ was terrible, so no early corn this year.
