Thank you for this video. I've had gastro issues since having a mild case of Covid in June, 2022... so, going on 22 months now. Please keep posting information as it becomes available. None of my doctors have been able to help me yet and I have to avoid a large number of foods (including US wheat - I'm fine if I'm in Europe), alcohol, medications, preservatives, etc. We need to aggregate this data so we can help each other.

After 4.5 months of severe bloating/abdominal distention with stomach pain, heavy benching, I was diagnosed with gastroparesis this week after a gastric emptying scan. GI surgeon says since my symptoms started with the onset of my getting covid that the shock to my system from omnicron is likely the cause. On meds now for what we think may be a few months to get my 'slow gut' back to normal functioning speed. Good luck everyone... (UPDATE at 2 weeks) They have me on Metoclopramide 5mg/4x day and I'm still taking 20mg of Esomeprazole 2x/day and I'm definitely improved at what I'd say is 75% overall improvement. What I eat has a direct effect on how I feel, even with the meds, however, I'm able to eat more complex meals now whereas that was impossible over the last 5 months. Hopefully after a few months of this regimen I'll be a normal digesting human again. Good luck to everyone.

Suffered from IBS 2 months after covid. During covid I had a lot of inflammation in my intestines. This decreased but still had diarrhea in the morning along with inflammation. The FLCCC website protocol recommended ivermectin among other things. I started taking the ivermectin and the inflammation disappeared and everything is normal again!

Hi. I have a question. Now I got good the first, second, and 3rd vaccine( moderna) and after about 1- 2 weeks I began having diarrhea. It started in January 2022 and only now in July is it settling down. Now I have MS and my doctor thinks it's that doing it. However, could the vaccine actually do this? I mean if diarrhea is a symtoms of covid, isn't it possible that I had this diarrhea triggered by the vaccine( 3rd dose)? I'm very scared now to have any more covid vaccines as I never want to go through this again! I even had to have a gastoscope and colonoscopy!!!!! If it's even remotely possible that the vaccine did this then I will not be getting anymore covid vaccines! I know that you don't know me, but could you PM me your thoughts? Have you ever seen this in purple with the vaccines?

I got Covid-19 back in October 2021 I lost my taste and smell and in April 2022 I had a antibodies test and it came back I have very high antibodies. When I had Covid-19 I had to have oxygen at home I was sick for a month I did not get diarrhea I got constipated and looked like I was pregnant with twins. I had to go to the hospital and everything they gave me did not help my stools pass so they sent me home with a jug of stuff to drinkand that got stuff moving. One month after I was no longer sick I started having heartburn every day I could not drink water cause it made the heartburn worse I had to stop taking my bladder medication cause it made the heartburn worse The only thing I could drink was pedialyte when I ate food I can feel food going down and it is painful and causes heartburn sometimes stuff comes back up and that's painful and causes heartburn most the times when I eat my stomach will get bloated and I start to burp and pass gas and sometimes it feels like my intestines get hot and they will hurt along with having pain in my stomach and sometimes my stomach will feel cold inside and hot. I have had lots of test done and a Biopsy and all the test showed was that I now have Dumping Syndrome the Doctor's say my stomach empties really fast now. I get the diarrhea sometimes after I eat but not every time. I pass stools three times a day. The Doctor's say that Dumping Syndrome would not cause all my problems I never had stomach problems until I got Covid and all the medications the Doctor's gave me only made things worse The only way I can get the heartburn to go away is to sip on baking soda water through out the day I still have all of this going on with my stomach and see the Doctor's and feel like I have no hope for help I have done so much research and only found stuff on people in the ICU that had diarrhea or people that had diarrhea with Covid-19. I never got diarrhea with Covid-19 it made me constipated I know I am not the only person in the world that got constipated but yet there are not studies. Before I got Covid I would sometimes get heartburn depending on what I ate. The NIH sent me your video and I'm really not sure what your video is going to do to help me cause it seems like your video is also about people that had diarrhea and I'm wondering if you read these comments I wonder if I'm going to get any help from anyone I have been living miserable life ever day and as time goes on my stomach just seems to get worse and my Doctor's can't seem to help me and three months after I had Covid-19 my hair started to fall out I get headaches a lot and sometimes pain in my brain I lost interest in things I like doing before Covid-19. When I had Covid-19 the hospital wanted to admit me cause of my oxygen but I was afraid and told them no I was on steroids for a month at home with the oxygen.

Many people have long haul COVID with GI and brain issues. You are spot on. The GI symptoms can sometimes be cured with probiotics and prebiotics but the brain symptoms do not completely resolve right away. The fluvoxamine treatment may help with the serotonin issue. I suspect that there may also be a vitamin b depletion issue and selenium status seems to also play a role.

Currently facing IBS symptoms. First week after testing positive for COVID I had fever non stop. Second week things cleared up. No more fever, but still had the runny nose and coughing. 3rd week felt good again, but headaches, brain fog, nausea, and fatigue lingered a bit. Then noticed that I started getting constipated. After COVID symptoms pretty much cleared up(except brain fog and fatigue) still had constipation and other issues. Was givin antibiotics for another condition I was diagnosed with. After finishing my antibiotics(took for a week) I felt like I was back to normal. No constipation. Had all my energy back. I felt stronger than ever. For only about 2 days I felt normal. Then suddenly constipation came back along with diarrhea even. Fatigue and brain fog came back. Might’ve been the antibiotics that tampered with my gut health. All I know is Ive been having sharp pains in my left side. Feel bloated and gassy. (Especially left side) Even sharp pain in my pelvic muscles sometimes.(left side). Anxiety has been through the roof I already get bad anxiety as it is. Majority of the day I feel my heart pounding away even tho I feel calm. (One symptom after COVID that never cleared up either) Feel like I have no concentration most of the time. Still feel fatigued even after a good nights rest sometimes. That’s if I can stay asleep the whole night. I’m just not sure if it’s because of COVID or the antibiotics that may have tampered with my gut health. Hell maybe both. It’s been a rough 2 months. Started eating more veggies and fruits. Increasing my vitamin intake, too. I still have an appetite, but I’m staying away from fast food and anything heavy. So far it’s only been about a week I starting facing IBS. Only time will tell if I feel better.

I don't know if it's related or not but I got my 3rd covid shot in January 2022. About a week or 2 later I began having diarrhea. I didn't think too much of it at the time as I have had gastrointestinal issues due to lactose intolerance and some other food sensitivities. However after a completely changing my diet I began to have that diarrhea for a very long time. It is now July 22 and it's finally stopping. I even had to have a gastroscope and a colonoscopy just to rule out anything serious. And now I am terrified to get a 4th dose. I can not imagine going through that again if that is in fact what caused it for me. It was conveniently only a week or 2 after my 3rd dose. One of my friends who is an antivaxer told me that that's probably what it was. Now I am not an anti vaxer I believe in vaccines and I know that they do a lot of good but could this have been an issue for me? I know that sometimes there are people who have symptoms that are sort of on the rare side so I'm really concerned about getting that 4th vaccine in the fall.

Months and half later GI issues, loose stool in the morning, diarrhea that got worse and worse and worse , and also strange moodiness, weird anxiety. All results are clear. Every doctor said I’m fine. Yet I’m not. I’m miserable. Had diarrhea to the point I want able to drive because of how weak I was. Iris probiotics, psyllum, no improvement. Also have a mild tenderness under the right rib, but nothing found. Year and half later it still persist. Also. A word bubbly feeling in feeling when I digest and constant gasiness. I had no issues whatsoever before and had most healthy poops. I also had a vaccine which seems to not have prevented anything,

Tried it (Florastore in the US). Didn’t help.
Most likely what you’re having is fictional diarrhea. E.g. vivid messed up neurological regulation and not the microbiota itself (although possible). I had GI map testing done. Showed nothing.
To me personally probiotic Bifiform helped (really makes poop rocks) . Also restore your neurological system . I was prescribed Actavegin IV large doses. Some psych medicine Quebtiapine, really made me sleepy but also significantly slowed down my bowels. And 2 months of vit B complexes.
I’m not perfect but I’m better. Stomach is sensitive but not like before where it was borderline scary.
So all and all it seems it’s very neurologically related and cvd damages your autonomic nervous system significantly along with other things.

Had an EGD, colonoscopy, stomach emptying test, and several stool/blood samples. Nothing. I'm 150 lbs and eat well but I've had silent reflux since last December and diarrhea nearly daily since August. It all started one day in August with 15 diarrhea stools in one day. I had to go to the ER that day because I thought I was going to die. Scary stuff. It's getting incredibly depressing and exhausting not knowing how to get better while keeping my weight from dipping down any further. Going to a GI doc in Newport News who has basically written me off isn't helping my mental. Just thought I'd vent.

Its too soon to tell but my energy is way higher this last week and my stools are looking almost normal. If you're not moving around a lot or exercising, I think the key is to get a good workout almost every day.
