Thank you, RAINN, for taking on a tough topic to help raise awareness. Grateful for all that you do.

Thank you for sharing this! I am a childhood sexual abuse survivor as well. My older cousin sexually abused me for several years.
I can relate to something that each of you discussed and I appreciate that I was able to re-visit these feelings again. I go on about life as a wife and working mom and don't stop to take care of myself and the trauma memories that I tend to bury deep inside.

Thank you all for sharing your stories. Sincerely. It does not go unnoticed the sincere strength it takes to talk about such a sensitive subject; a sensitive, stigmatized topic. Just today, the CDC released a statistic that read 1 in 3 teenagers were sexually assaulted/raped. As a teenager, I do not recall there being an active resource, or education, that would have directed me to a resource such as Rainn. Needless to say, Rainn, as a resource to these children, is essential, now more than ever.

It’s so important for us to keep hearing these stories as they are sadly so prevalent but also so hidden for so many complex reasons. Thank you for focusing on incest (interfamilial sexual abuse) and including sibling sexual trauma, which is often ignored or dismissed. It’s real, it’s traumatic, and it needs to be addressed. As a survivor, I know.
