Pretty amazing just how far you have pushed yourself out of your comfort zone Amanda. I have been very curious how things have been going so thank you for the update and the honesty as always. I personally would find that type of setup very stressful as someone who enjoys people but in small doses, and I have definitely found myself needing to leave situations when I've been over stimulated. You're doing great trying to find the balance, and I hope very much you get to relax more, work less, and get a chance to explore and connect. 🙏❤

I think you are doing great! I saw your ladies talk with Butterfly lady van lifer! You did so well! Once you got over your butter flies! I could see you were nervous but once you became comfortable talking to all those ladies, you had a lot to share in your van life experiences! And safety tips! You was rocking that lady! Kudos! I hope you meet a lot of nice people, and they give you your space!

I knew you’d be stretching yourself to be there, but I also knew those people would love love love you. I’m surprised to learn that you don’t watch other VanLife channels. But it does make sense knowing how you are and who you are. Stepping out of your own satisfying bubble can be a challenge, but I think you’ll have a renewed enthusiasm about your wild camping and being in solitude. That will be a treat to get back to. I’ll be watching. ❤️✨✨✨

Hi Amanda and Frank….I’m happy you found a better place to camp for Franks needs as well as your own. I saw someone’s video where you and Jan spoke at the women’s RTR….I think you both did great! Again, the scenery you capture and how you get it out to us is just so beautiful. The sunrises and sunsets looked so magical in a way. Looking forward to your next videos about the RTR and your true feelings.

Amanda, i met you briefly sfter your talk at the WRTR. My pup has been wearing her Frank button ever since. She looks like a little Frank fan girl. Lol.
I have been wo dering how you have been doing with all of the people who wants to meet you. It was stressful for me just waiting in line to say hello. I would much rather be able to sit by a fire and enjoy a sunset. My days volunteering are hecktic and i come back and decompress. I must say i have the greatest spot at the adult games tent where we get to actually sit and talk.
I so wished you would a have a plesant experience here so that Az. Would leave you good memories. This is a beautiful wonderous state. Go to Sedona after leaving here and check out more trees and beautiful hikes in the red rocks. It can be a little crowded in town but you can camp well away from people.
I hope we get to touch base once more before you leave. I have a small token to give for your bravery in coming to Quartzite. I keep missing you at the rtr i guess because I do the 11 to 3 shift and you are there early morning. Bless you for all you do. Loved the video and your honesty. Hope to see you down the road.
I did see Truck in the parking lot and was excited because i am a fan of your vehicle as well. I remember when you got a new engine and i was so worried Truck might get replaced. Im weird but i love my vehicles too and get attached.
    Ok, weirdo out. 👋

I am staying at a rv park close to the RTR. I went Saturday and Sunday. I was hoping to perhaps run into you but it didn't happen. I did see your van. I had a good time at RTR. I got to meet Bob so that was fun. And I got stickers. And the corn dogs were delicious. Q is definitely something you have to get acclimated to. I am 50-80 steps from a hot shower, laundry and garbage bins so I like it. This rv park is extremely quiet.

If you want a really nice RV park go to River sands over in Ehrenberg, its all new, pool, hot tub, grass dog park, laundry, showers, store across street, pickle ball, perfect wifi etc. With passport America or their other deals its cheaper than the dirt lot rv parks in Quartzsite. Ive already been to Plamosa rd and Roadrunner. I can only take 3-4 days out there lol

    Quartzsite tips....
    1. Never camp in a wash. Flash floods are a real threat, even if the storms are 20 miles away. Plus, if the rangers see you, they will ask you to move....for your safety.
    2. Cototes travel via the washes at night....be super careful with Frank!!!!!
    3. Dont get close to the cute little "teddy bear" cactus! They will actually leap onto you if youre too close.
    4. Dont let Frank dig in the dirt. Vally fever spores live there and that is NOT a good thing, and requires years of continuous treatment!
    5. Check with the Vandenberg Air Force base website. If they have a "just after sunset" launch of Starlink satellites, youre in for an AWESOME site!!! The "jellyfish effect" is a wow factor!

I'm proud to see how much you've pushed yourself pass your comfort zone. I loved the evening sunsets 🌇 with the cacti.
I don't like crowds either, I'm a one on one person that loves to be surrounded by nature, birds and animals. People don't stress me and I love young children but I hate always being questioned by strangers.
I choose to only open up to people I feel comfortable with and with which I tend to share common interests with.
I always told my children to choose your friends, don't let just anyone choose your company. I also apply the same philosophy to my life. I think that's why I always liked the idea of pen pals. It was a long, slow and well thought out form of communication that I could control where I wanted to go with it. I t was a great way to meet a diversity of people while forging great friendships and learning about a variety of customs, lifestyles, cultures, personalities and interests. One of the best parts is you could meet them if you chose to but never had to. Some became life long distant "adopted " family members that felt like kin and others just passing acquaintances.

Girl you are looking buff in that shirt! Between the hiking and lifting and carrying Frank 👍👍. Evidently that’s a good combo. Frank said he loved you and you are the best mom ever 😊❤️

I totally agree with you on Quartzite, I tried to camp there a couple times and check out the RTR but the town is waaaaay too busy and crazy. I left and went to Yuma to get groceries do laundry etc. and went to Kofa

I understand your position completely. I went to Q in Oct of last year hoping to find "my tribe" and really understand the absolute draw for everyone. I stayed from about Oct to April and was disappointed as well. I hung out with various peeps who were experienced in the traditions of Q and spent time alone. While they were helpful, I just didn't fit in the whole desert, dancing, hiking community vibe. I didn't attend RTR and hv no desire to be in that crowd as well. So yes, do I think it's an experience that folks should try, meh, probably but don't get your hopes up if you're an introvert and prefer peace over chaos. I'm glad you went and that is a long stint for us introverted peeps 😢. Glad you pushed yourself, proud of you!❤

I want your food. It looks and sounds so good. Can't get anything like that living in Mexico. You are perfect, the way you are.

I'm not sure how this isn't an adventure - going outside our comfort zone is one of the criteria for adventures. Looking forward to learning more about your "adventure" at Quartzsite.

I watched one of your sessions and thought you did a very good job. Im proud of you as I know how difficult having an Anxiety Disorder can be. It looks like Frank is doing pretty well in the desert, too. Best Wishes for 2025 from Ontario, Canada.

Hi Amanda, ive been following along with yours and Franks journey for a few years now, I love seeing the different landscapes as im from Australia. Seeing Frank in your videos really helped me get through the loss of our beautiful, elderly dog Dakota 3 years ago, so thankyou so very much.
Id love to know where to find the music playing in this episode if you'd be so kind to share.
    Thankyou very much.
Big gentle squeezes for Frankelin. 🩷

The butternut and chimichurri combo sounds tasty. Have you ever fried sage leaves in brown butter? So good with squash.
I think the non self contained units are supposed to park within a certain distance of the portable toilets. But Maybe that’s only for long term visitors.
I fully understand the need for quiet. We have zero desire to attend Q. Good for you for being involved and sharing your knowledge 😊

So sad I'll miss or missed your next visit to rtr. I took work at the Pow Wow in Quartzite that starts tomorrow for a little more gas money. Local rock club show. Very sweet to walk around. Good rock people. 😊 I have Frank's lovely face with flowers on my dash.
