- For the American Visionary Arts Museum Annual Sculpture Race in 2002 at Baltimore, I built a wooden monocycle out of materials I found in dumpsters and the streets of Philadelphia. It took me about 400 hours to complete the project while I was a grad student at UPenn.

The first one is proof of concept. The next one will be more refined. Don't give up. You may be on track for a new sensation that will be of interest by many.
Such a brilliant bike design! That would be the honesty of building that! You have to make tweeks and riding videos don't usualy show that struggle! The science does change :)
Beautiful design some stabilizing outriggers would help balance it and help stir it as well
He should include a rubber liner around the wheel to smooth the ride, also a couple of casters attached to the yoke, one on each side to avoid tilting and falling. Very easy to adapt those enhancements.
Wheels on the front and u can go faster without falling
That was one of my favorite designs. Sorry it didn't pan out in practice. Maybe a wider wheel next time?
2002... Better times
Add another gear to the rear with a gyro scope and a controller to equalize and make it stable
exactly.
does he eventually put a small wheel on the front so when contact is made he doesn't come to a stop...?
You may add a stopper on both sides so it wont fall down.. Like a children bikes.
why aren't these replacing bicycles yet?
it' great invention , could have many applications
look at ''humanity seen from the moon'' walter rossi
me pregunto por que no le puso unas ruedas auxiliares ,de esa forma hubiera funcionado mejor
igualmente...
Eu tinha avisado pra ele ; *Ponha rodinhas nas laterais * , mais o cara é temos ! ..
A motorless monocycle?
Is like a South park episode :v
more speed captain
the guy had no sense of balance
