I simply love splitting wood,, 🥰,, its very Zen,, 👍😎👍 Two excellent tools from first class tool manufakturers. 🌟🌟 ( If the "hands" are wrong, then it doesnt matter how good the tools are,, 😅) If you add a heavy sledge and vedges, anything can be splitted,, ⚡ Thanks Ash,, 🙏
Brilliant one Ash, love the sound of the axe slicing though the wood. Fabulous combination. That light one is amazing, so easy to swing. Definitely makes life easier. Great video Bud. Take Care 👍
I fully understand the pros regarding the old fashioned way but I'm surprised you haven't made something to speed up the process and free up your time for other things.
I ended up with a splitting grenade for the particularly determined knotty logs - works really well. Mostly use a really quite old splitting axe (no visible brand) which holds its edge and splits very efficiently. Does have one or two war wounds from overreaching the swing 🙄😕! BTW how did you get on with sorting the snow blower - saw it in the background?
Thanks! The Gränsfors Bruk you can buy directly from their website, at least in Sweden anyway. The HB I'm not exactly sure because I bought it from a local store but I'm sure if you search "Hults Bruk splitting axe" or similar you should be able to find it 😊
Is it just me that enjoys the sound of wood splitting?! Great demo, Ash.
Luckily, I enjoy it too! Otherwise I'd be in trouble 😆
I love the ringing sound of that well dried wood
I love it too! 😊
No need for the gym or health gimmicks, the wood chopping does it all. Great demo Ash 👍
It sure does! I can definitely feel it in the evening after a session on the wood pile 😆
The light splitting axe is perfect to handle with one hand, much more control also

Couldn't agree more! So far I've only had to use the wedges once for a very bad log but 99% of the time the Gränsfors goes through 😊

Loving the kit! A video on how you sharpen them would be awesome as I can just never seem to get it right.
The swedes makes soMe awesome axes. They last a lifetime 👍🏻
Nice video, thank you.

I will probably make something eventually to future proof myself, not getting any younger😅

Did you check out "Leveraxe - the smart axe"? A finnish invention, costly but they say it lasts
for generations.
I have actually seen those before, look interesting 😆 With this current setup I haven't found myself wishing for more to be honest.
