The best i have ever seen...i love when there is a fun guy helping out...looking at plants....looking at funiture an eating at an restaurant..an doing home decor projects....Wow...keep up the good work....My first time seeing Tina Le..All this in one show...Love
One of the things I've done to incorporate more of our Filipino heritage in our home is to support Filipino artists, buying prints and photography, so my children feel connected to our roots. I've framed traditional fabrics and fans - from our travels - so my gallery walls have variation. My mum gets emotional when she sees particular pieces, so I feel like I'm doing something right. I've also made sure to buy lots of art from POC artists so my children are surrounded by portraits of people who look like us, which they really enjoy 😊
I would highly recommend taking the time to create a circle jig for your router - it takes some time to set up and practice with but once you get it down you’ll get perfect circles every single time - it’s a game changer!
It turned out fabulous! Can't wait to see the next installment of the this makeover. I like the arches you added- it really updated the pieces and made them "go together" without being all matchy matchy.
It's so weird to see someone else go through this thrift store, I was just there! That old fashioned pharmacy filled with all the vintage pieces was so cool! Can't wait to see the finished room! :)
CULTURE | I love that you will include more of your Vietnamese influences (21:14). In any design, it's always nice to check in with our senses and see how we can amplify our vision using those. Vietnam has beautiful bright pink incense for example... so you can include actual incense, a custom holder, or simply add a pop of color to represent incense. For me, design always starts with research which always leads to inspiration! Looking forward to following along!
I couldn't agree more, Hope! ☺️❤️ I love looking at photos that I took from Vietnam for inspiration and to play off the colors. I'd love to see some of your creations whenever you get the chance!
I' m impressed with the nightstands. When you said that you will tie them together I said no way. OMG how talented you are. And the colour came out beautifully. Keep going sweet girl! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤
I don't think I would have thought to create the handle/pull on the dressers the way you did! Router our both the top piece and panel! Ingenious!!! You have so many talents, Tina! I just love your garage walls! I keep wondering if I could paint that! You are way more artistically talented than I, yet!! I am willing to try! Can't wait to see the finale!! Enjoy your day!!
Ikea was actually selling those side tables in red for a time, so the person probably bought it that color. :) I love how you're being more intentional about incorporating your culture into your style. Def there can feel a contrast between modern/future styles and traditional ancestral designs but I think with so many designs styles bringing inspo from so many eras lately, it seems totally more doable to incorporate in cohesive ways. And the importance for inspo to not only come from European history.
Oh man you were out my way! I love Thrift and Dollar, my kitchen table set is from there. I just can’t wait til it’s not so “popular” anymore lol. Pro tip: they’ll usually reduce the price up to 30%!
Wow how beautiful, all your projects came out just stunning!! When you said “making the nightstands look like they came from the same collection” I thought 💭 “The Tina Le Collection “ seriously you did a great job and the wall are is so nice. I want one lol
Re: adding Asian deco, in our kitchen we float-framed a vintage cloth rice bag that was the brand my parents cooked in my childhood. Lk stole that idea from Daveed Diggs/Emmy Raver AD home tour. The yellow bg and red rose logo is graphically strong, as it is personally sentimental.
That Thrift Store was incredible!! The prices blew me away! The stores in North Texas charge so much for furniture, especially when it’s in such beautiful condition.
I love your diptych! It turned out beautiful! I like how you used the gesso. It reminds me of some that my aunt did many years ago. Hers were mostly in rusts, oranges and yellows, but also had the sun and hills. I had forgotten about them. Now I’m wanting to do something similar.
Loved the diptych! And those tables turned out so nice. Love the repeating arch/half circle design element you added. It made them look so high end 👏🏼♥️
That thrift store omg I would die and go to heaven 😩💜 So much beautiful stuff! Both the nightstands and the artwork turned out so amazing, I love them both! 😍 I desperately want some arch shapes in my home 🙈
Thank you so much, Elina ❤️❤️❤️ I appreciate you always showing up for my videos and being such a huge part of this channel! You have to try it out soon! Arches are a game change!
They came out great 😍 can't wait to see how the entire room looks. Your talent and creativity will definitely make a difference in the space, and I'm sure that your parents will love it. 💪
I don’t know if you’ve had your plant party yet I think it would be so cute if you made little cards or maybe they you could put it at the bottom of the pot and it says what type of plant and how to take care of it.
I've been there! My sister and I went. Definitely overwhelming but super exciting to see all the things. I didn't go with a list and I wanted everything.
I think like the past art of Asia areas the local scene was the inspiration . And modern should use that same inspiration. In abstract or any city form with it new and old ways. Your art piece was a abstract to me of Japan's mountains and the rising sun of its pieces. I hope you do more. I've seen ones of the old boats and the ships with the city looking far off in by mind thought I have near been there.
Yeah, it's definitely far out from the city haha. But if you ever get the chance, it's definitely worth the visit! I saw a ton of cool pieces and you might even get to have the photo of Brian's first love 😂
That’s how you know you have creative talent when you saw the Harry Potter book cabinet I could just imagine what you can transform that piece into something absolutely beautiful ! All I saw was an ugly piece of furniture! I have no creativity in me ! 😞
Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I definitely would want to recreate something that's Harry Potter inspired! It's Brian's favorite series 😂 Thank you for always watching and supporting!

Seriously impressive the way you tied the two nightstands together.

This was such a journey!! We need to go to more thrift stores 😂 you’re so talented, honey!❤
When can we go back? 👀 I missed so many pieces looking back at this footage 😂
I come first of all to see Brian’s comments. Then to see what you’re doing.
That thrift store is like 30 minutes from my house

❤ Love the two night stands! What a great transformation. Also the two pieces with the mountains and sun are PERFECT!! ❤
Love the wood panel artwork! This was exactly the inspiration I needed for my living room!
You're so sweet ☺️❤️❤️❤️ Thank you for watching!
I laughed out loud at Brian saying "my first love" at the old art hahah
I was dying when he said that 🤣🤣
The night stands! Each different but they go together! Brilliant! 👍
The basket is adorable! We love the transformation of both furniture pieces 😍
Tina you're so stinking talented! Also, Brian cracks me up lol
I couldn’t stop laughing the whole time we were in the store 😂

Cali too :( 200+ for a trashed dresser
Oh my! How much are pieces typically at your thrift store?
@@tinalemac definitely in the $200 range or higher if the quality is good. A not so great piece would be around $50 to start.
You are in my home town. I was just there Wednesday. Awesome
LOVE what you did with the two little furniture pieces!!!
Those nightstands are just beautiful!!! ❤❤❤
The night tables are gorgeous!
I love the art with the sun and the mountains! Beautiful!!!

The tables turned out so lovely!
Wow! Those tables are beautiful!
Would you consider doing a version of the diptych for Studio Calme? It would make a great DIY for some, but yours has such a peaceful, expansive vibe.
Loved the diptych! And those tables turned out so nice. Love the repeating arch/half circle design element you added. It made them look so high end 👏🏼♥️

so amazing! It would be helpful to have the links/names to the tools that you used so us first time DIYers know what we would need :)!
Loved all you did!!! Such a talent!!!
I loved the two night stands. The picture was awesome. You are one huge talent👏👏👏
Can’t wait for the makeover!
Tina you are so talented!
The dresser/chest you got for $26 looks so similar to a vintage Ethan Allen piece (which sells for over 1K), what an awesome find!
Love what you did with those night stands! ❤
Love the Asian inspired artwork!!!
They came out great 😍 can't wait to see how the entire room looks. Your talent and creativity will definitely make a difference in the space, and I'm sure that your parents will love it. 💪
Love your art Tina!!!
Baotpham has amazing artwork featuring a lot of Asian women and florals. I have 2 prints of his, and I definitely plan to get more.

Oh gosh what can I say. Everything you do comes out so good. Great ideas making the nightstands look like they were from the same family.
Oooh redoing a guest room, so looking forward to this!
I’m excited to share the journey of the makeover with you!! 💛
I don’t know if you’ve had your plant party yet I think it would be so cute if you made little cards or maybe they you could put it at the bottom of the pot and it says what type of plant and how to take care of it.

"My thrift store could never." Girl same 😢
I am so going this Saturday 😮. Looks like it’s gonna be worth a 1 hour and 45 minute drive for me 😮💨
What was the app you used to digitally make designs on the night stand? Canva?
Good thrifting! I love this - I'm shooting a restoration video right now. A Mid-century bar cabinet. Stay tuned 🙂
Can't wait for the next vid❤
And I've decided to give Planta a go(I'll let you know how it goes😂)
Beautiful ❤
Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️
I have that red ikea night stand in black. 😅 I may copy what you did!!!!
Hi Tina, where in Illinois is this place at. I live in IL and would love to go there.
This is more an antique store than a thrift store
in love
I have that red table, in white. It sits by my front door as an entry table.
Tina, where’s the lamp? They had sooo many?
Nice!
😊
what. i didnt even know that existed. im like 30 mins away from it.
Definitely worth the visit!!
ZOMG - I want to go to that thrift store but per google maps, it would take ~3 hours from chicago by public transit. WAAAH!!!
and $100 by lyft/uber.
Yeah, it's definitely far out from the city haha. But if you ever get the chance, it's definitely worth the visit! I saw a ton of cool pieces and you might even get to have the photo of Brian's first love 😂

I’m halfway through and like… none of these are japandi or wabi sa I style but there’s still ten minutes and some thrift flips to go so 😅
Those night stands look amazing!
🫂🫂🫂❤❤❤🎉✨🌟
I like your music, but that click track is brutal with headphones.
