I remember a fiddlers contest in fairdealing ky.were uncle regg won the fiddle contest but while doing his fiddling on his back he fell and broke his bow well the folks wanted to here more but they asked brother Seymore nanny the second place player to let regg borrow his bow but he was afraid regg would fall and break his bow to but he finally let him borrow it.and he didn't fall that time lol i was there ,😅
I've always loved Josh's singing and guitar playing..... I also appreciate the fact he doesn't hide from his mistakes.. I to am recovering from about 15 years of opiot addiction and to see Josh came out the other side gives people hope......God bless , enjoyed the interview........

Josh is new favorite guitarist. I am hoping he does something and gets into North Carolina to play a gig I would love to see him live and maybe get a chance to shake the man's hand.

@@grasser82 lol. He’s incredibly talented and has got a gift. I’d kill for that-but the Strings crowd with their pods and masks has been a bit much. Reminds me of the Yonder Mountain crowd when I was a kid before I grew up. I’ll leave at that 😷🥴😵💫.

Billy’s background isn’t strictly BG - so I think he’s just playing what he wants rather than caving.
I personally prefer to hear him play BG, but I still go see his shows just to get a few of those great old tunes. He’s a great ambassador and has brought many new folks to the BG genre. If 1 out of 1000 turns out to be a picker - even better.
Was hoping you would have asked Josh what strings and gauge he prefers.. Do you know?
