I have just found this group (i'm a 74 year old guy) and they are truly the most incredible group I have ever come across. Long may they continue.
Enjoy their extensive catalog of music. Their sophomore cd Mean Everything to Nothing is a masterpiece.
I just walked away from seeing them in person and it might have been the closest thing to perfection in music that’s possible.

I'm 48, living with a brain tumor that was supposed to have killed me over a year and a half ago. The first time I heard Andy Hull and Manchester Orchestra was when A Black Mile To The Surface was released in 2017. I fell in love with each and every song, and retroactively fell in love with their past albums. Now with The Million Masks Of God, along with the song I Know How To Speak, this band, this man, they don't seem to be capable of making bad music. I have tickets to see them live in New Orleans in November. It's going to be a long and tricky two and a half months, but it's been a long and tricky two and a half years so far. You should definitely see them live this year, if they're playing near where you live.
This will be the first time I'll be having a chance to see them live, 🤞but I've already learned that the fan base is just as amazing as the band is. I know I can speak for them when I say that we'd all love to see you at one of their shows. You'd be in the best possible audience.
I'm 63 have very broad music taste over years but this is the most amazing band I have ever heard in my life truly exceptional
Nothing makes me happier than loving Manchester Orchestra and knowing this man is now on the cover of Men's Health magazine.. good on him.

It's incredible the consistency of this man's (and bands) music has been since the start. They always find away to stay true to themselves and their vision all the while not sacrificing quality. One of the most underrated artists of the last 20 years.

@@jordanbomb32 I mean, I guess so. But to me the terms are kinda interchangeable. Critics can think highly of their music but if they aren't popular with general public then I think underrated is still an acceptable term. But I understand your point

Lol. So we were sitting here watching this show today just to relive the moment, and I turn to my wife and say “I wonder how many people commented about you being in the frame the whole show.” Thank you for not disappointing with this comment. Great duo for sure!

Andy's writing (and this performance) help prove the fact a good song can always be boiled down to it's essense: a single instrument and single voice. Beautiful.
In think it also shows the incredible opposite skill of sitting a writing this on your own and then bringing the elements of the band in for the big sound, mad skills, beautiful and always appreciated.
Most bands spend their entire career chasing the brilliance of their early records. Manchester Orchestra just seems to get better.
So talented. He don’t need much. Only his voice and a guitar. ❤️

I can’t even with this guy…the talent is unmatched.
Ive seen hundreds of concerts and this guy loses himself in the music more than most. Saw them live recently and he was remarkably dedicated to the performance - truly one of the most intimate concert experiences.
In the beginning he couldn't get through some of these songs without crying. Ive always wondered being someone who plays how some can get through meaningful songs without crying. And the answer came through one of their documentaries. I didn't know I knew. Repetition...As always.
I saw them live for the first time too. It was the most incredible thing I’ve ever experienced musically. Truly, it was different.
I saw them in Portland in the everything time nothing era. and they were awful. he seemed soooo depressed and did not wanna be there. then I saw them in SF two years ago and it was absolutely beautiful.

The other day I was at my brother's house and my 7 yo niece came through the front door singing Bed Head, I was so proud, I listen to them around her, but I didn't know she actually liked them

I have listened to band’s groups for 40 years and in my opinion this man and band is probably the best band on the planet . The lyrics and tone of the voice is absolutely stunning . Hopefully it will continue .❤

I like this version of Bedhead. Acoustic calm, but not fully subdued. Million Masks has been a daily player for me while I work since its release! An amazing album. Crisp sound on this recording. Nice job, Criminal Records!
