I noticed Anom has soft OPT, so I think a Paleo that summons anomalocaris/opabinia with itself as mat would be really good.
Sadly cards are 1 year in development...
They are making some new cards for trap mosters, that might help
@@alphashina Nah, the link requires continous traps, and since they do not treat themselves as traps, it has to be really specific. additionally, most Trap Monster support asks for the trap to summon itself from the S/T Zone
I saw Paleo, i clicked
I was the one that talked about getting Colossus on 17:45 and yesterday I managed to do it worst.
Soldier Dragons -> Reasoning, get handtrapped -> Special Ringowurm -> Special Spright Pixies (Double Cross is really funny) -> Cupid Pitch with Pixies+Ringo, make it a Lv2 -> Ringowurm from GY -> Cryston Quandax with Pitch+Token -> Cupid Pitch get Nemeses Corridor -> Corridor shuffle Ringowurm -> Special Colossus
Passed the turn
Opponent activated a card -> Soldier Dragons special Laundry and mill -> Quandax synchro into Desert Locust rip 1 from hand -> Locust synchro into Omega rip another
Took me like 50~60 games to do this. I lost this game btw.

13:06 There is a cool interaction with Pot of Desires if you draw Paleozoic Leanchoilia early. Desires effectively acts as draw 2 + mill 1 of 10 since you can return one of the cards that Desires banished to the graveyard. It can turn an otherwise dead Leanchoilia into a Marrella.

Tested this version today and wow is it more powerful. Getting ashed on a pot of tune now means you load grave, and you can make the opobina, which allows you to activate the other paleos from your hand turn one.
I love seeing Paleo making a comeback, and thank you for enabling it.
It's just a shame that Rollback is $30 to $40 per copy, because otherwise it would be a super budget deck that more people could experiment with.
As a marincess player whose also dabbling in this deck I’m ashamed to say never thought about adding the zeal line in this rip
You want Shifter banned because it's inherently bad card design. I want Shifter banned so I can spam Paleos for 20 turns.

I've been playing this deck with a small lab engine instead, bc stovie on its own is a rank 2 that lets you activate paleos and pitch dead cards from hand. But the dragon package is interesting, might have to give it a shot
Yeah I play it like that too, with a small dinomorphia engine to transform low LP to big pressure

Tried it with 1 big welcome, but the second one comes up pretty often. It's only okay to open big welcome, so 2 is a nice medium
You can cut the Arias if you're not running any of the draw traps (reckless, etc)

@@Sparda900 Yeah, it's 60 cards. Sometimes it feels like the deck could go to 70 if I was allowed lol.
Desires is perfectly fine, there's not really any conflict. If you banish both your big welcomes, it hurts a bit, but it's still completely fine bc stovie comes back so often. I never really liked morganite, and it's not necessary in this version, so I cut it.
It's also nice bc you can fiend griefing send stovie if you've hit back jack already, and get your lab engine rolling.

Edit - can your side deck just be like 1 blaze accelerator reload, 3 scattershot, 3 ceasefire, 3 secret barrel, 3 just deserts and some other burn card?

This deck is so fun, win or lose. There is the added torture of how long it takes to win/lose. That Yuri video has the same quality of footage as a beheading. I played it in the tri-event on the XYZ side. It's incredibly janky, but since you can only run 1 zeus in MD I ran a Herald of Pure Light to recycle Zeus if need be.
29:09 honestly, I feel like decks that have 10-20 minute turns are the slow ones. Sure they win in less turns, but the game overall is longer, and the opponent spends more time doing nothing.
Decks that incentivize 1-2 minute turns are actually the fast paced ones. That's how a lot of decks used to be, and we'd still finish the game in less time than many modern decks use for 1 turn, with plenty of time in the round for game 3... I'm hoping that catches on with the player base again.

I use to run a Lightsworn with synchros and run Rise to Full Height. Synchro into Omega and use Rise to Full Height on him. Then banish to take a card out their hand and they can’t attack anything but Omega. Then during stand by phase, you return Rise back to graveyard. Endless loop

Just wondering, is there a reason to run waboku over threatening roar? Doesnt waboku let your opponent zeus while threatening doesnt? Also your opponent cant add cards when playing purrely, etc.
Generally you don't care if they make zeus because your monsters are uneffected anyway
@@gamingsuperun Sure, but isn't it better that you just don't allow it in the first place? Like maybe you have a karma cannon set that you don't really want to go to waste? And how about monsters that plus you after they attack like the small white purrely or something like Hayate? What's the benefit of waboku?
@@raphaelcheng2254 theres no reason. People simply forgot about threatening roar until tenpai csme out. And by "people" i mesn the like only 4 people that ülay paleo. Honestly no one played the deck until josh started in MD.
Thats the besutiful part about modern YGO sure new decks are popular but sometimes old decks areent that powercrept or a re good in a new format and overlooked because we have 100s of new exciting archetypes to choose from. Also if you started plsying long after paleos rlease chances are you didnt know that was deck even back then.
Fpr example I saw a guy winning at locals with Tellarknights??!!! Like whst? 4 of his opponents had no idea what the foal of the deck was or what to negate
@@user-vl8ck4gz6wthere is actually a reason to run waboku, if you want to make your own zeus but are at 50 life points because of rollback you can waboku on your own turn, get the attack in, and then zeus them
@@winter945 great idea! Tho not sure how often that comes up? Though maybe tgats rly tge reason. How does the deck win anyways? You never die but I dont see anydamage and I feel like the deck lets your opponent freely build boards and recover. Theres no way you win by attaking with paleos directly for 10 turns and pray your opponent cant just out deck you by doing nothing and setting monsters

you can use waboku on your own turn to get ZEUS
for example if you are on 13 LP like Joshua but you need to attack for ZEUS summoning requirement without dying to battle damage
You can attack with a xyz under waboku into an opponents monster for a zeus play.
The flexibility of waboku overall is way better, even so threatening roar of course is a better counter to certain effects relying on your opponents battle phase to occur.
waboku is activateable and has use on your turn but plays worse into kashtira than threatening roar. i mean fenrir doesnt do much against you but unicorn can be annoying

Raise to full height activates in the graveyard, threatening roar works going first against tenpai but you have to set it first.
A faster Paleozoic deck is combined with ojamas, focused on ojama duo, just playing red/blue/pink ABC + Pajama
