I love everything about this song, the turntables at 0:37 , the drum beat at 0:58 , Max and Fred screaming together at 1:27 , the riff at 2:38 , Fred's rap at 2:57 , the Brazilian instrument at 3:34 , and idk wtf Max is doing at 3:40 , maybe he's scatting or rapping in Portuguese, idk but I love that too X)
check out RATAMAHATTA
Brazilian instrument is called berimbau. Guitar player is also brazilian (Lucio Maia). DJ Lethal on scratches.
Fun fact: originally all the instruments were supposed to kick in when Max said "Go!" after the first chorus, but in this recording nobody heard him so Max said "Go!" again when the measure ended, this time louder, and the instruments kicked in again. Because the editors at the studio liked the added touch, it was never edited out of the official recording.
When? What time?
@@Lucarbarbarosa 1:36
you can hear him say a quick and sort of quiet "go"
Where’d you hear this? You think they recorded this live/full band?
@@bobbywhitewolf it's reeeeaaally hard to hear, you have to have a good ear
@@lithiumscience6861 I hear the go... where’d the story come from...
I love Fred's cameo without a doubt it gives that touch of Nu Metal to the track great song
Fred Durst spit a better verse here than any new 2020 rapper
My favorite Fred durst verse for certain, max said yo kid this is how you thrash
2020 rapper? Did you mean the whole history of rap?
Yeah he did.
xD
Counting Crows is okay but I like their new stuff.
1998, I miss you so much. Will you forgive me and take me back someday?
Music in 2020 is heavily influenced by this stuff, check out vein or spite already.
😍peaceW.Jezus yoyoz.
Good year for sure ✌
@@valis-zj8bc nah They suck bro
You got that right we had the best music
Rest in piece, Dana Wells. May your soul fly.
Max Cavalera + nu metal = always epic.
BRAZILIAN STYLE
Most of soulflys albums on iTunes are in the genre of rock
this album is nu-metal basically
@@RibeiroGames12 Till Dark Ages it was nu metal but Dark Ages was the beginning of wrong road which Soulfly will continue music.
Nu Metal FOREVER 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Goddamn I miss the late 90's. Such a GREAT time for music. Nu-Metal took over the world and it was great. I miss it all.. the music, the style (baggy clothes, chain wallets, etc), and just the vibe of things back then. It was a magical time and I miss it dearly. Sucks getting old... I just turned 40 years old last month.. hard to believe so much time has gone by. Life is fucking short.. that's for damn sure. The beauty of music though.. it transports you back to better times if you let it. Soulfly is one of those bands that has a very nostalgic feel. I'll always miss the old days... LONG LIVE SOULFLY!!
Max+Fred=AMAZING!!!!
Max + Fred = simply amazing
i feel sad that max still carries his anger from dana's death even today ..... even after all these years he writes songs about it, even in soulfly's latest album ....
"These scars won't heal."
Never will heal
Just when you think this song couldn’t get any better, Cow bells.
More cow bell!!!
Ehh needs more Fred durst LMAO
@@johnfloyd2551 I agree
It's actually a berimbau, haha.
Yes lol
Nothing like good easy listening heavy metal. Just soothes the soul.
Lembro quando o clipe estreou na mtv há... duas décadas!
This was one of the first heavy songs I ever really liked when I was a kid, I remember when I first heard when it kicks in at 0:31, it blew my fucking head off! Good bit of nostalgia here!
Same here, I thought this shit was the heaviest thing ever back then
Same!
I miss this kind of music. you wont find it nowadays.
I agree. I miss music that was just raw.
Yes
Try superjoint ritual - alcoholik. It's not made today, but it's raw like this
I was just thinking the same thing!
Take me back to when this music came out please 😆
Because a lot of people don't like rock or metal anymore shit pisses me off
Man this whole album bumps. Not a song worth skipping
Esta canción ,Eye for an eye ,No Hope =No Fear y Tribe son muy parecidas al album Roots y sin duda una obra maestras de Max Cavalera.
Argentina 🇦🇷 ama a Max Cavalera
Escucha a Disgorge banda mexicana de death metal
This is a great Fred Durst solo song featuring Max Cavalera !
Max é foda ... Sabe mesmo fazer um som ... é um orgulho p nós brasileiros ...
Very sorry for your loss, Max!.. I lost my parents in childhood. But I can’t even imagine what it is like to lose your child. 🙏
You always make me strong. Thank you!!! 🤲💓🤘
2020 é nois na quarentena porraaaaa

É nóis!!!
Okay, so i started learning Portuguese yesterday on duolingo (cause i think it sounds sexy and beautiful af) so here's my expert translation to all you english speakers out there:
2020 is us in quarantine cum.
SoulFly Self Titled is an absolute classic. Best SoulFly album.
Max, Durst, Lucio Maia, Lethal, Roy Mayorga. No way this could go wrong.
Memories. 13 yrs old in the pit with all the 20 yr olds lol no fucks given!!
Man I love this collab. So heavy!
This is the kind of stuff that should be on the radio now, not crappy pop music!
This song,.. Oh my fucking memory,.. Long2 time agoo,.. 😢
Excellent! I bought the album for my Grandson, who also loves Soulfly ~ He's 26 and I'm 64 ... glad he likes Nanna's music ! x♥
Use to hear this stuff back in high school, cool memories, cool track..
Absolutely crushing song! Fred is great in this!
I had goosebumps and i was literally sweating when i heard this for the first time. Best band.Even better than Sepultura!
Soulfly feat. Fred Durst and DJ Lethal from Limp Bizkit
@Acid X sim! lucio!!
@tyler g YES
Even with all the hate this gets, i'll still take that 1000 times over the garbage "mature "rock we're getting today. This had energy, raw stupid and powerfull energy
hate? pure love
Fuck yeah, I totally agree. This makes you want to get in a pit and destroy some of these fa.gs from the modern era. (EDIT) to make my comment appear, I had to censor/modify the word "fa.gs". I had to refresh the page a few times to make sure that my comment was added, and when it wasn't added, I knew from previous experience that you can't type the word "fagg.ot" and have your comment show up. What the fuck is this modern world coming to where we run into this censorship bullshit all the time constantly?
Me Too Today's Music Sucks
There are tons of great bands out there today, what do you mean by mature rock?
@@valis-zj8bc He probably only listens to radio.
Those were the days...
Now you can watch them on your smartphone...
Max Cavalera's Sepultura energy is really showing here.
0:54 - 1:03, love that little part.
fred durst nailed the song. brilliant rapping. the only thing i would change is screaming into growling.
rapbalance Nailed it alright. This song gets me pumped every time I hear it.
rapbalance Have to give credit when credit is due.. The guy you love to hate Fred Durst was good on this shit!
themadrapper101 he still is good. Golden Cobra is probably their best album.
Gold Cobra is nice... But when it comes to their best album, that's either 3 Dollar Bill Yall, Significant Other or Chocolate Starfish.
themadrapper101 3 dollar bill is definitely the worst, too much annoying screaming.
This is by far one of the best things fred Durst has every done and I'm sure he didn't have alot to do with it.
Que bien que queda la mezcla de Limp y Soulfly, pesado pero rítmico.En otras palabras un clásico epico!
Estas joyitas aun se aprecian en el 2016...
2022 y contando
In some parts of this video Fred looks legit scared of Max. He's like, "holy shit. these guys are angry for real!"
This made me laugh my ass off
😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
0:54 that drum blast is the heaviest/loudest most metal thing i have ever heard. I have listened to alot extreme shit goregrind/brutal death etc. but nothing is heavier than that moment and this song.
masters of noise!!!!!
Max y su sonido salvaje son inconfundibles. Fiel a sus raíces.
Remember the first time I downloaded the MP3 of this song in high school and listened to it on WinAmp in 1999. Simpler times.
Almost forgot about Winamp, been since around 2000 since I last used it.
lol dude I used Winamp all the time!!! haha Damn I miss them days :(
Fucking true bro, the good ol days
Remember the visualization studio in Winamp? Mesmerizing!
Soulfly é muito foda, os caras tocam demais.
Roy Mayorga was a perfect drummer for Soulfly. Man got some grooves.
Omg..talk about bringing back memories! I forgot about soulfly!!
2019 STILL BLEEDING
that fucking cowbell makes it jam 10× more
+Aaron Landry I GOT TO HAVE MORE COWBELL
+Aaron Landry I got a fever...and the only prescription is more cowbell!
+Aaron Landry It's actually a berimbau, a traditional Brazilian stringed instrument
Favourite phrase of Durst "bring it on"
Just turned 41years, Always soulfly. MAX AND CRUE!! FINLAND!!!
2:35/2:38 "Bring It On!" "BRING IT!" - Fred Durst
2:33. The best part!
Nu-metal music as it's finnest :)
NOSTALGIA
no it isn't, fred used his flow from sour, which didn't really work in a nu metal breakdown
@@billrobertjoe that's just like your stupid opinion, man. Majority of the people who listened to this song liked it & you're obviously in the minority here.
@@kurumi9714 the majority of people who like max cavalera see soulfly as an annoying butt metal band
After discovering Sepultura Beneath the remains when I was 13 nothing else quite did it for me.
Man I love my Soulfy. Till have tattoos in memories of them.
This album was Roots 2.0 Fucking epic stuff.
this was one of the albums my neighbor lent me when I was around 13. kind of set the tone from then on :D
my uncle played sepultura for me when I was 9. never stopped listening to metal since then.
This is a killer tune!!! Funk! My favorite Soulfly
FUCKING SOULFLY!!!!!!!!! MAN WHY CAN'T MUSIC RETURN TO THIS LOVELY STAGE!
R.I.P GOOD MUSIC 🎶

Bleed...I used to be right on stage and went crazy everytime I knew it was next on set list! Thanks to the Soulfly crew!! Love y'all!!
Fred Durst is great on this song. That's not something I say all that often.
Vocal do Max sempre me lembrará Sepultura!🙃
Soulfly rules
Who else is part of the Soulfly Tribe
Damn. Damn that's good
Beautiful song in every way. Fucking perfect. I was in a protectory when I was 14. I listened one whole year before to "Rammstein - Reise, Reise", before I was in that protectory. I met a nurturer in that protectory who was also a big metal fan. He introduced me to "Korn - Take A Look In The Mirror" as well as all SOAD albums and a little bit into Sepultura. It was well known that I liked Metal to that time very much. One nurse bestow me the "Soulfly - Bleed" Maxi-CD. She said she thought it was chill out music because of it's cover. That's how I got introduced into Soulfly. I still dig a lot of their shit nowadays. Do I even need to mention Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit? They were always tight. Nothing more to say here.
+Merlin Erdogmus (SYLVERSECOND) never give up, never surrender, keep working...
King42089
Whatchu mean?
To think that Fred Durst is the same person that worked with Soulfly is also the same person that dated Britney Spears is stunning.
He never dated Brittany Spears.. he tried to smash with her and Christina agulara and they both denied it. Glad Eminem put that fool in his place. Knocked his ego down a peg or two rightfully so.
@@valrio7504 To think that Fred Durst is the same guy who likes Soulfly, Fear Factory, Biohazard, Sick of it All, Ministry, and Suicidal Tendencies is the same guy that tried to bang Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera is fucking insane.
@@vapordreams983 hahahah yeah you're saying something here
Max is coolest & Super Riff GOD!!!
Ich liebe die Zusammenarbeit von Max Cavalera und Fred Durst
This song is one that is always playing in my car
Classic badass metal tune. Even Fred did good on this, his screams used to be pretty vicious.
Max once bought me a pint 🤟🏻🤟🏻
Haaa,my high school 🤘🤘
I went to Ozzfest in 1998 and didn't realize Soulfly was Max's new band. Their debut album had just come out. They killed it. Limp Bizkit was on the tour too, so they played this song. Place went nuts. Tool and System of a Down played too. Lollapalooza, Ozzfest, and Warped tour were all so much fun to go to back then. 🤘
Me lembra minha adolescência... 2001 🤘🤘🤘
Man this is absolute BANGER!!! Thank god this is finally an absolute banger
Like it or not, this song fucking rocks, people who say other wise are elitists who only listen to 80's thrash and speed metal.
23 anos após e continuo sentindo a mesma energia da 1° vez ao ouvir essa sonzeira. Rip dana.
Ese Max increíble me encanta todos sus trabajos otro de mis grupos favoritos 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Nu metal soulfly is it’s greatest form
im 32 years old and im still excited
Still love the sound of this album!
i was the happiest 11 years old headbanger kid in 1998, now just the memories.
I was renting my own house for the first time, had a guy at work that would buy me beer whenever I wanted, I was 18, dropout, worked hard af, life was work 10-12 hrs get off work drink eat sleep repeat. I listened to soulfly a lot during this period, I think it was 2001 or 2002... "Every man has to find his own destiny, just follow your heart, and just let it be..."-soulfly
My favorite one! Such a badass song.
i dont care what anyone says, back in the early days of limp bizkit. they were fucking brutal, im sorry that fred sold out, and that they are now with a fucking joke of a record label. BRING BACK MY 3 DOLLAR BILL YALL LIMP BIZKIT
damn true!
Yes! Thank you! Anytime I say anything like that people just laugh at me. It would be really interesting to see what their career would've been like if they didn't sell out with Significant Other.
CrackedStyle
Significant Other wasn't really much of a sell-out, Chocolate Starfish was more of one. I still enjoy Chocolate Starfish for the raw energy and rhythm they had, but their image from then on was basically tarnished forever.
Starfish is cool but nothing like Three Dollar Bill Yalls!
Record label? Also their sound didn't change THAT much when they sold out. It's not like they became a pop group or anything.
Ouvi no spotify, esse disco é a maior viagem, obra prima inovadora!
Verdade mano,o cd todo é foda
2022 and still a banger shit
And this is why fred is a g
We want Back nu metal soufly
