Yammie : As a Ducatista myself, riding six of them since starting in 2006 with a Monster, I can wholeheartedly recommend any Ducati ever built. YES, it's an expensive brand, but worth it. I had an original Rocket 3 as well, and it was just too much, too heavy, and too fast... but I think it brought me more attention than any bike I have owned. I loved being able to roast the tire from every stop. It was my coolest bike, by far.
As an owner of a 2024 FTR R-Carbon Limited, and having spent over 3K miles with it now, it is unquestionably the most fun I've ever had on two wheels. It's so alive and it has so much character. It wants nothing more than to rip your spine out and the engine is just pure bliss. You get to actually play with it on the street and rev it out, the shifts are amazing, and the tech is def a nice feature. It's the most enjoyable experience for a V-Twin and it's getting a suite of upgrades soon too, so I'm very excited for that.
2023 FTR owner here, the bike's looks also give it a ton of soul. Don't know how else to describe it but seeing it in my driveway during golden hour really captures the beauty.
This was fun! I have a 2010 Ducati Streetfighter 1098s. Riding it is the most fun you can have with your cloths on. Analog, raw, visceral beast! Not for the faint of heart or the inexperienced, as I'm sure Yammy can attest to, having had a 1098 Superbike. That 1098 Testastretta engine is a work of art and has loads of character (booming twin, dry clutch rattle, middle finger attitude)....something the newer Ducati's are missing, as capable as they are. And yes, it is a bit of a commitment to own one of these older Ducatis....you either accept that the valve tolerance intervals are going to cost you at the shop when the time comes, or you are a nerd like myself, who not only does the valve job (saving a bunch of money) but, enjoys it! I have a 2011 ducati 848evo. It's such a good bike. Just hit 25k miles. It can be expensive to own these bikes because of Maintenance. but if you do your own Maintenance. its very affordable. It's a easy bike to work on. Even the desmo Service is not hard to do.
Yam spoke to my soul with this one 😂 i owned a ducati 1098 for a year, and currently own an 07 monster s2r and an 09 sportster. I'll take a bike with character and questionable reliability any day.
I did not expect to see the 701 at the end of this video. I've only ever seen 401s on the road. I like owning and riding something kinda rare. Nobody knows what it is. My wifes INT650 gets more looks and even that bike isn't widely known outside of the riding community.
I had a MV 750 back in the day. Fantastic to look at and sounded like a Ferrari but it wasn't loud and there were no after market pipes at that time. You heard more sound from the air intake which was part of the tank. Sold it after only one year. Not because it let me down but the riding position makes it impossible to ride for longer than 30 minutes. Wrists, neck, hips and knees all scream out in pain.
1. MV Agusta Super veloce 800 2. Honda RC51 3. KTM RC8 4. Honda African twin 5. Triumph Daytona 675 If I see any of these bikes on the road, I'd say they are the coolest.

Super fun bike and very comfy so long as your aren't gonna drain more than one tank of gas... The Svartpilen 701 is very high on my list. I did have the chance to ride a KTM RC8... VERY fun!
The Vitpilen 701 is far cooler than the Svartpilen. I'll probably have to get another one at some point. And I know how much you enjoy dunking on the Japanese supersport bikes but even you have to admit that the Honda CBR 954 RR Fireblade is an exceptionally cool motorcycle.
Had an upportunity to get a 1098, 1199, rc8, mv Augusta f4 or ktm sdr. Glad I went with the sdr mostly for piece of mind on reliability and maintenance costs and having a local ktm dealer.
I had an 848 for about 15 years, I only sold it because I could no longer be in that position for more than 10 minutes. The bike had no issues and was the perfect road weapon… once I put 1050 brakes on it. Why it had lame Brembos from the factory is no mystery but was misguided to say the least.

My buddy used to have a 848 Evo back in like 2019 or so, he rode it around and then sold it to the dealer when the desmo service came up because of the cost.
A little too close to home Yammie, you used a stock photo of a actual bike I picked up a couple weeks ago that was surprisingly affordable, with examples out there in the 50k mile range it was an easy decision to pickup a well kept F4.
I found the MV Agusta F4 750cc to be extremely reliable over 15 years and 27,000 miles when I owned one. They were expensive bikes new, but at the right time - late 90's early 2000's they could be cheap 2nd hand, now the value like many nice bikes has risen. The rear Hub bearings can be under torqued slightly to avoid distorting the outer bearing cage, and routinely properly greased/checked. Or replaced with the very good aftermarket Hub available through the best internet fan sites. The bike should not be pressure washed(don't be lazy) and particularly the rear hub. The engines can over heat at slow speed and they melt the belly pan (lowest part front fairing) on the right side (as you sit) in the area closest to the exhaust. Fit a manual fan over ride switch (switch on as soon as you are going slower than 35mph) and use decent exhaust wrap on the first half of the exhaust system (6 inches past the rear brakes master cylinder should do) are the cheapest fix's. This exhaust wrap will also stop the rear brakes master cylinder from boiling the brake fluid and thus having no rear brake. Also check the heat shielding in the belly pan is still stuck down properly as the adhesive can fail in that hostile area over time. If fitting new shielding do a thorough job and seal the edges of the shielding to keep it stuck down for good. The riding position is sporty and is quite tiring after 3 hrs in the saddle unless your young and or fit.

I feel that Harley made a huge mistake by discontinuing the EVO Sportster. I think H-D could have made them Euro 5 compliant (supposedly the reason they were killed) with a little work. The new Sportsters just do not have the clean aesthetic of the air-cooled bikes, and very little of the EVO's cool-factor. Fortunately for guys like me the used market is flooded with lightly used EVO Sportys.

everything said about the RC8 was true. Most guys that have an rc8 should likely have gotten the rc390. myself included. perfect example of unusable power on the street. hooligan of a bike. but so fun
I think the new Buell Hammerhead 1190 is super sexy and should be on the list; just barley over 400 lbs with over 100 lb-feet of torque! It's the spot bike version of the Super Duke that KTM refuses to make... Don't get me wrong, that MV is one of the sickest bikes ever imo, but the chances of it turning out to be the bike that kills me are just too high. A painful, and totally avoidable, death by panic induced heart attack (seconds after screaming my final words- "NOO, it broke down!? It's all over, I'm SCREWED!!!") if a coil or plug died/ needed to be replaced- I'd ride it once, maybe twice, before hopping off (thanking God I made it back still running) and immediately selling it 😂 The KTM RC8 is the only one on this list that I might see myself keeping if someone gave it to me for free (and only if I really liked how it rides)
Since i ride a GS i have noticed something i never knew before. Non bikers really think the GS a cool bike! I personally don't think the GS is very cool(a dream to ride though), but man non bikers sure seem to think so.
I was very surprised to see two attractive young ladies approach some 40something GS bikers when I was in town. Almost never happened to me with my nakeds or sport tourers
Funny you mentioned the Sportster after the new Adam Sandoval video sihtting on you and Sportsters and telling you that you need to find the right Harley because the only point of the stripped down Harleys is so that people will buy the touring model bikes when they get more money. Oh, and there's straw man arguments aplenty.

I love the BMW flying bricks, thoroughly enjoy my ‘03 K1200GT. I was a little disappointed when they changed from the horizontal four (the brick) to transverse 4 (wedge) and now the K1600 while impressive has forgotten the luxury sport bike, sport touring bike heritage of the original K’s
@kevindowell6003 I'm surprised anyone else who watches this guy's video's even knows what I'm talking about. It was a blessing to have experienced the late 90's-00 motorcycles. It will never be like that again. Versatility, practicality and less is more has become the mindset of today's enthusiasts. Mine is take away everything except my bike. And if I crash and burn, I can't think of a better death.
@@davidlagno7717 The 80’s and 90’s motorcycles brought in awesome innovation that added to riding, fuel injection and ABS but still retained the fundamentally simple essence of the motorcycle. Manufacturers have forgotten the spirit and essence of riding and are engineering the experience of the machine out of the machine, too much tech just cause they can. I also have a Moto Guzzi V7 Special. The 60 plus mpg and reliable cold start, predictable performance at all temperatures and altitudes is appreciated. The extra margin of safety from ABS is appreciated. But fundamentally it is still just a basic simple motorcycle, the experience of the machine is still very much there. I wish motorcycles and cars for that matter would return to those principles
@ I don’t know why UA-cam fails to post some of my replies…here it is again. The ‘80’s and ‘90’s were great. Fuel injection and ABS on motorcycles that were still simple motorcycles with the essence of the machine and the spirit of riding left intact. Engineers spend too much time engineering out the experience of the machine and make machines that are far more than the average rider can handle. If a machine needs traction or wheelie control, then I would argue that is too much. My traction control has a sensor on my cheeks and is regulated through my wrist. I have a Moto Guzzi V7 Special that is still a simple motorcycle with the experience and character of the machine still front and center. We shouldn’t forget the awesome V4 in the Honda ST1100
@kevindowell6003 I'm with you on that. There's too many problems to list about what marketing and internet hype has done to destroy motorcycles recently. It's beating a dead horse. Brainwashed.

HE WAS SERIOUS ABOUT DAILY VIDEOS??? Let’s gooooo!!!
Remember there are more hondas on the road than any other vehicle brand.
But the hate in yam is real
#1 Sachs Beast
i am a highschool student and want to get a bike. whats the best cruiser beginner bike for less than 8k$ ?
I almost bought an MV Superveloce when I bought my Tuono and sometimes have regrets
To this day the rc8 is the best chasis I've ridden on
Top coolest bike? Suzuki 750 Lemans or the Yamaha twin jet 100.
No mention of the Suzuki SV1000S or the Honda Superhawk???
The FTR is is like a unpolished & raw version of the Hypermotard
Speed Triple 1050 with the chrome google eyes for me. but since we're here.. CBR900RR, RC51, KZ1000, CBX1000, GSXR750
RC30, I own 3, no ducati required 😎!!! 👽
I have a clx 700, which is the small chinese copy cat of the ftr1200. I cant wait to try out an ftr when i give my girlfriend my clx.
Triumph rocket 3 owner right here veeerrryyy fun bike
How about thé Benelli TRE tornado 900 and 1130. Unique cooling system only being copied last year by Bimota. I doubted to buy this or An F4. Happy to have chosen thé Benelli which Is have for over 12 years now. Admittingly not driving it a lot.
Honda rc51 nuff said
I think you need a Road King or an old fashioned Electra Glide
I told my wife I want a 848 evo as a peice of art for our lounge room
You said something about an sv?
everything said about the RC8 was true.
It's all over, I'm SCREWED!!!") if a coil or plug died/ needed to be replaced- I'd ride it once, maybe twice, before hopping off (thanking God I made it back still running) and immediately selling it 😂
The KTM RC8 is the only one on this list that I might see myself keeping if someone gave it to me for free (and only if I really liked how it rides)
The coolest bike is the one you ride😉
3 bikes i love are on this list 🤣🤣
848,1098,1198 are great bikes but good luck not tearing up the con rod bearings
You forgot the best one. Yamaha VMAX 1700
Video hasn't started yet.... Thank god it isn't you almost dying again. Have you taken up skydiving?
Funny you mentioned the Sportster after the new Adam Sandoval video sihtting on you and Sportsters and telling you that you need to find the right Harley because the only point of the stripped down Harleys is so that people will buy the touring model bikes when they get more money.
Oh, and there's straw man arguments aplenty.
10 min gang 😎
BMW K1300R would be on my list
And a B-King. Thumbnail doesn't say own it says ride. I always wanted a K12 or 1300 and ended up with a S1KRR. Still never got to ride one but with an exhaust can i.m.o rivals the H2 in sound when you hear the intake HOWL and exhaust Scream
Bimota SB8R, an Italian beauty with a reliable Japanese engine.
I owned Ducati 900ss, I ride it for 3-4 months at the time and then it go to the service shop for a year at the time to repair..... sad but true...., by my honda CB1300, never ever spent over 3 days at the shop and it can ride 1000+ km per day easily!!!
No Honda? What did they pay you?
man I'm gettin old when an 848 is an older ducati...
TELL ME DUCATI MH900E ISNT THE BEST LOOKING CLASSIC!!! UNDERTAIL EXHAUST - SINGLE SIDED SWINGARM - FULL FAIRED FRONT END.. 🎉
