I love Sian Gibson's transition from a bland "Drive on" into a totally panicked plea...the timing and delivery was just perfect! And Peter Kay's genuine laughter when Kenneth suggests they go dogging and her "I think we need to have a little chat" is gold. I'm in the U.S. and only recently discovered this show thanks to a post on a general Facebook Britcom fan page. I ended up binge-watching the whole series and thoroughly enjoyed it. This deserves a place among the true classics!

I as a grown (?) Man was hiding behind a cushion when I saw this the first time on telly, when they stopped to talk to that bloke. The tears ran down my face.... Also tea flew out of my mouth... Brilliant, just brilliant

I love it how she's so nonchalant and deadpan about it. Partly because she didn't know what "dogging" meant, but the way she says it is truly hilarious.
I had a similar experience at my aunts 80th birthday party a few years ago. All the family sitting round the table and one of my uncles said “me and the wife went dogging a couple of weeks ago”. There was a couple of seconds silence (very rare in our family) then the whole table erupted into laughter. Except by bemused uncle and his wife (the birthday girls sister) who quickly explained that they had taken a friends dog for a walk!
When I was little my dad had a boat, He took my sister and I down the beach to go out in it. My sister (being a bit thick and excited) proclaimed to everyone she was going "Oreing " pronounced by her as "whoring" (she ment rowing). Needless to say, my Dad wasn't happy.
I had the same when my father in law asked me if i wanted to go dogging, i was stunned, i stuttered 'but i'm married to your daughter' turns out that in parts of cumbria dogging means going out with a dog to hunt rabbits.
I said that to a copper who stuck his head in sniffing for cannabis, and no passengers to distract the driver, and have you got a ticket.. he was not amused.

Rumour has it that the Ken comment near the end was unscripted and the whole episode was then re-written around the dogging comment. Peter’s laughing is so natural and infectious. Absolute comedy genius!

I was driving round the north side of the M25 once, when I passed a bashed-up old Ford Fiesta being driven by a slightly rough looking woman. She had a pair of black panties hanging from the rear-view mirror. Just like Kayleigh, she was getting plenty of honking horns!

Can anyone actually give the reason WHY it is called dogging when dogs aren't involved I mean mixing sex and dogs sounds almost bestial who the hell came up with that definition and what is the similarity unless doggy style but I doubt that's the reason either!
