Two years ago at the company white elephant another guy got a Ford hat and he goes "someone please steal this sht from me". Well I was at the time a proud owner of a 2003 Ford Focus with 300K+ miles on it so I wasn't going to let anyone diss Ford in my presence so I steal it.
So the hat kind of drifted to the back of my hats I'd forgotten about it until two years later I see it and say imma wear this to work today.
I get to work and the same co-worker is like omg you still have it and I'm halfway through a speech about how dare anyone diss Ford and my phone rings
My wife was stranded in a Walmart parking lot in my Ford Focus broken down can you come rescue me.
And I'm like Ho Lee Chit. Could have you possibly picked a worse moment to shame me in front of the guys.

well they were doing it wrong, you are not supposed to open the gift until the timer runs out. I remember a big gift I got one year, that contained a tiny bag of peanuts and a whole lot of used newspapers
This was pretty tame, I've seen white elephant parties get bloody.

@Skinny Bob, I was 13 when it premiered and I certainly understood every joke and nuance. From the candy gram shark, to Gilda as the hyperactive Girl Scout, cheeseburgee, cheeseburgee, cheeseburgee, Pepsi, Pepsi, Steve Martin’s arrow thru the head and spontaneous happy feet, Barbwa Wawa, doggie downers and doggie uppers, skits were taken from the culture and media of the day, just like it still is. I don’t remember it ever being exclusively “for and written for….ADULTS”. My children enjoyed it too. Perhaps I misunderstood your point.

This happened to me last night at my work white elephant. I was one of the last to pick a present and I unwrapped a head band designed to help you sleep with your mouth closed. I was so excited and everyone was laughing but earlier this week my dentist told me I was sleeping with my mouth open and it was drying my gums. So this joke gift was actually perfect for me--- and then someone STOLE IT.
If you were last, how could someone steal it?? The last person can steal from anyone or get the last gift if played properly. The last to pull is supposed to be the best position.

Yeah I totally get it too. Last year I did one with my friends and I happened to grab a really good gift for me - a waffle maker. It was a small cheap one, but I was only a few months into living in my first apartment all by myself and a waffle maker was an awesome thing to get. If you've ever been in a situation like that, you know that you're always going to be looking for useful kitchen tools and appliances. Then a friend who literally still lived with his parents at the time stole it because, in his words, "I'm going to move out eventually and might want something like this". Honestly definitely a dick move. He literally has used it only one time that I know of. Sure, a waffle maker probably sounds like a nice thing to have but if you don't need it right now and I do...why take it????
@@khr1395 people are very inconsiderate sometimes. My brother works in a hospital and he told me about a doctor stealing a gift from the lady janitor, completely tasteless.

Really impressed by Austin Butler's performance in this sketch. Wish they'd let it have a dramatic end instead of throwing in Santa but up to that point he sold it. Hard to believe this was his first time hosting.

LOL. They actually just had in the news this small company's white elephant Christmas party. Someone wanted this lady's gift, so when she had to select again, she ended up getting scratch-off lotto cards and won 175k... pretty sweet!!!

She selected the scratch off cards from someone else because her gift was taken, a $25 Tj Max card. The person that bought the tickets and the one that had them taken because somebody else couldn’t just let the lady keep her TJ Max card have to be cursing their luck.
This is an awful game imo lol I can’t imagine causing hard feelings by taking a gift someone else clearly liked to get a slightly better one of the same value (in most cases)

Shopping for family got old years ago (me and my brother used to give each other the exact same amount of cash so we didn’t have to shop) so no way I’d want to have to do it for work people
That's awesome. I hope she gave a percentage to the person that bought the tickets. That's what I would do, and give a little to everyone at the party maybe, unless you're a dick to me at work😅

I've never heard of him. He did well in this skit, which kind of fell apart, due to confused writers.
I was hoping for some Movie "Elvis" chair-kicking rage! But no, they went for the easy "miracle" ending.
This was the one joke that had potential! This could have been the year's highlight joke. But it stopped too soon. He was supposed to have that one taken. Having each tray being better than the next, even going as far as having his name on the last one. Only for that to be stolen. Until he's left with the scented candle😮💨😂

Thank you for using its proper name! Lol. I've never, ever, in my whole life heard it called "white elephant". Didn't know it was a thing. Grew up in New England, and here we've ALWAYS called it a "Yankee Swap".
Yankee swaps are the funnest part of the holidays! It's like playing musical chairs with gifts. Some gifts get stolen repeatedly. Drama!

I once got a package of three cheap box cutters at a white elephant. The kind of thing sold in the checkout line of a hardware store. I hoped to no avail someone would steal them from me. Now I use them constantly; perhaps the most useful gift of my 45 years. Happy holidays everyone!

it's so funny because I had a white elephant gift exchange that ended in two of my friends not speaking to each other for two whole years and a fight. And i have had the perfect gift for me stolen during one of those where I just stared down the other person the rest of the night.

I know he's acting, but Austin's little face and gasp when he opened the jet-black catch-all was freaking adorable!
Skit was kind of funny but felt short and incomplete. Could've used another outburst or moment of tension.
If I never have to do a white elephant gift exchange again it will be too soon. The worst, scraggly ass gifts ended up in my lap. Meanwhile the darling set of bowls that I gave, were “stolen” from my assistant who was so upset, she threw an absolute hissy fit, and I had to buy her a new set.
