Can't believe you never heard or Richard marx. He was the heart throb of the 80s...
That's why.. It was back then in the 80's...
@@genghisgalahad8465 So? I've seen 21 Hitchcock films, and I'm 26.
For the nerd girls in our school
@@DDD11239 and there is milions who didnt, cause they eat today pop shit and dont know past....
I sing metal. He is still my pinnacle of singing. ❤
Richard Marx, Bryan Adams, Phil Collins, and Dan Hill were my favorites growing up.
Rick price, vince gill, stevie b
This song reminds me of my mother. Thank you for reacting to this. I miss you, Mummy.
Richard Marx is an amazing vocalist. Saw him in concert in the 80's and he was just as good in person. I highly suggest Endless Summer Nights, Should have known better, and Hold on to the Nights
this is one of the most known and one of the best love songs ever
One of the best love songs of the 80's.
My Fav song Of Richard Marx is Hold On To The Night
17 years ago this was used at my wedding when my wife walked down the isle. Love this song
For whatever reason this was my favorite song when I was like 3 years old lol
He also wrote " Edge Of A Broken Heart" by Vixen
He’s one of those artists that was big in Japan, and he was big in the US too, this was a big hit
I'm going to be blunt...
These 80's ballads (and 90's) got you laid so much...
Yeah and without directly telling you how in a vulgar way like it is done today and referring to women in derogatory ways. We romanced our ladies back then, slow danced with them to some of the best love songs of all time.
Not only does he have a beautiful voice...but...the hair. THE HAIR! And if you were to check out his band from the late 80's, they all have...THE HAIR!
My personal Richard Marx favorite...is "That Was Lulu". Nice little upbeat song. Love his ballads...but, I can only take so much of them before I need something that'll give me a good kick in the pants.
Richard Marx got many beautiful songs my favorite song is Right Here Waiting For You ❤
When I was in high school, I'm guessing 1989, Richard Marx did a concert at our local county Fair. It was a pretty cool concert in a very strange venue. Demo derby one night, tractor pull one night, horse racing, then a mainstream current recording artist concert.
I was not expecting to hear her sing Baby Got Back during a Richard Marx reaction.
He wrote this for his then wife , choreographer Cynthia Rhodes, he was always on the road & she was always working (Dirty Dancing) & they were always missing each other.
Oh yeah Richard Marx was big in the 80s. Music stud. Cool guy.
I remember hearing this song on those love story collection album commercials on TV back in the day, this was always the first song they played.
Amazing musician and a very successful songwriter
There's something hauntingly beautiful by him playing the song in an empty arena/stadium
This song may remind you of "This I promise you" by NSYNC, which sounds similar and also Richard Marx wrote it for them
Was looking for someone else to mention it
Repeat Offender is the name of his second studio album released in 1989
I'm a heavy metal guy, but i learned a lot from him..
Endless Summer Nights is his best song.
I love this song!
Sadly I don't know enough songs from him, but the ones I do know I love, Hazard is another classic, with a great story to it. Endless Summer Nights is another great one, and one of my favourite love songs from him... from anyone is Now and Forever.
I think there's at least one other song of his I know, but I can 't think of it right now...
Angelia
Chains around my heart
Now and forever
Until I find you again
He wrote this song for his wife because he was on tour so much.
And she was away filming Dirty Dancing😊
lets go
Nice vibes❤❤❤❤
This came out as I was deployed to Egypt for a year. It's a special song for us.
Richard Marx still releases great music to this day (just not on the radio like in his prime). He at one time held the record (may still hold it) of having his first 7 singles make the top 3 on the Billboard Hot 100....3 of which went to #1. And in concert he sounds as good as he ever did at 60 years old.
Richard has been married to singer/actress Cynthia Rhodes. She starred opposite Tom Selleck in 1985's Runaway. It also starred Gene Simmons of Kiss and Kirsty Alley. Cynthia also starred opposite Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey in Dirty Dancing which came out in 1986 or1987.
Hazard's a really good song to check out.
Bonita reacción a una bonita canción! 😃👋👋👋❤️
According to Richard Marx, he wrote this song 'Right here waiting' ... to his girlfriend (later wife) Cynthia, while he was touring on his first album... She was very moved by the song. Marx said he had no intention of sharing this personal song w/ the world... but he was encouraged to record it and put it out on his 2nd album 'Repeat offender' in 1989 and it became a #1 single in the US that year.
Sadly, Richard Marx and Cynthia separated and divorced decades later after having kids together... He remarried w/ MTV personality Daisy Fuentes recently.
Richard Marx had more ballad hits - 'Hold on to the nights'... 'Now and forever'... 'Hazard' ... His uptempo songs include - 'Angelia' ... 'Satisfied'... 'Children of the night'...
with all his hair and his facial features reminds me of a young Eric Roberts
Think this is one of the best love songs ever made.
Even thought that as a teenager. I think so as a metalhead.
It just has it.
Hi Rachel.
Richard wrote this song for his girlfriend while on tour. If I'm not mistaken, she was a model and while both were always on the move and in different parts of the world, it was difficult for them tto see each other, hence the first line....
"Oceans apart day after day, and I slowly go insane"
I learned this song on piano many years ago and it was an absolute joy when I was finally able to play along with the entire song.
If you found these lyrics touching, you may want to try "Now and Forever". Im a sucker for a good ballad so this became my 2nd favorite by him.
😊❤️🤘🤘
It was his first wife and he was constantly on tour and she was filming dirty dancing on the other side of the country if I’m not mistaken when he wrote this
I will wait for you too ❤️
Matt Heafy made a metal version of this song and I'm pretty sure Richard sang it for him in the studio.
This is probably his most popular song, but I still prefer his first hit, "Don't Mean Nothing."
Un like, good reaction.....🤟🤟
Y and you are Beatiful... 👸
I loved this song so much when it released. I don't quite know why. I was a young teen listening to Motley Crue, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath... and, somehow, this song. I don't get it, but I really love it 🤣
when i was young i only heard that song on radio channels .at first i thought that the tittle of the song was where ever you go😁=😅=😂=🤣 bcos that the only words on the lyric easy to remember
When you use portions of a song in a new song it's called sampling. I think that's the term you were looking for.
Rachel, there have been other covers of this song that you might have heard before.
He sings better live! I mean, he's great in the studio but he's one of the artists who sounds amazing live. Not just the voice but the energy and the rhythm---you can feel it in every part of his and your bone. Check out his live version of Hold on to the nights, the one where he has short hair not the famous mullet. 😂 That version's immaculate!
Ray over here dipping into my childhood lol
Probably the best example of Marx completely unrestrained and just BELTING OUT at full strength is Angelia. Also Hazard is another absolute CLASSIC.
Ironically, the working title of this song was "Right Here Waiting For Your Big Buns, Hon" but the record label thought that was too wordy. I'm still on the fence. 😏
This song is original to him but others have sampled parts of this song. He talking to his wife telling her that he will be waiting for her while he’s on the road touring.
7:00 Counting Crows song? Oh and just now discovered it's from Joni Mitchell!
Richard Marx wrote this for his wife but never intended to record it. He gave it to Barbara Streisand who said she loved it but would have to re-write some of the lyrics because "I'm not gonna be waiting for anyone!" Marx decided to record it himself, and here we are.
He said in an interview that every now and again he gives Barbara Streisand a huge hug and thanks her for rejecting his song. He never would have even considered recording it himself if she hadn't.
Hazard is another great one.
I think I will sing this at a karaoke night ant my ,local bar. Lol
LEGENDARY LOVE SONGS STILL GOOSEBUMPS❤
This song is as old as I am.
This is a great song. If you want to check out a more modern love ballad, take a look at Corey Taylor's Home/ Zzyzx Rd. Live from the Forum
may be nsync " this i promise you" by richard marx
I always thought it was a song about going on tour and missing her. (Piano and guitar (sharp) at end are not tuned together, slightly off, irks my ear.)
This song is about being away from his wife whilst on tour, as far as I know there still together, not a big fan just love this song
Nah he’s married to former MTV VJ Daisy Fuentes now I’m pretty sure
React also to his song " Now and Forever "
I’d love to see you react to “By The Sound” by Caskets

Sleep Token Who????😂😂
Guns n roses please....
You young people try to understand and interpret the songs of the 80s. You don't need to do that. The language, the message, the feeling is in a time capsule. Not made for the present. It's not worth drawing comparisons either. My opinion, nothing more. Best wishes from southern Germany. Mike
You talk to much... Listen!
Second.ballad from him named Angelia
