Gotcha. We just picked up a 2019 850 Max XT and am starting to learn more about it. I know alot of people complain that their machines run hot from the factory. We took ours out today for a first ride, and we were running in about 4-6 inches of snow. Granted the outside temps were in the mid 40's but over the course of the afternoon ours stayed cool overall. Probably put on 12-15 miles overall.
Get a custom tune from someone like MSA or RVS for the PV3. Those DynoJet tunes aren't that great honestly. Quite a few guys have issues with the tunes that come on those PV3 units.
My first ride with the PV3 Dynojet tune would go into limp mode. Brand new 2021 850 with MBRP exhaust and performance filter installed from day one. Immediately switched to MSA custom tune and would definately recommend them to anybody. The throttle response is a huge difference also. The Dynojet tune file was very sensitive and was not smooth at low cruising speeds.
yes but i upgraded too a rjwc exhaust and did a lot of research and eventhough the tune is for stock intake and stock exhaust it tunes the gas for aftermarket exhaust
Just picked one up. I’m very excited, Coming from a 570 Polaris.
He has you as well with the gearing. You have a 30% gear reduction in the xmr
Have you noticed any differences in your temps after the install?
sit prolly 15 degrees cooler all the time
Yes. With custom tune it turns the fans on sooner than factory settings.
