Easily one of the greatest Villains ever just sucks all the damn soccer moms thought he was too Evil for children and they toned him down to a more comedic character. This dude made season 2 of MMPR my favorites. Hopefully if they do a sequel of the Reboot he's the main Villain since the rumors are that Rita is looking for the Zeo Crystal for Lord Zedd.

He was the most brilliant tactician of the United Alliance of Evil villains. He kept trying to break up the Rangers teamwork or even make his own evil warriors to match them. Almost all his plans involved halfing the team and attacking them; with less Rangers, his success was better. Brainwashing spells, curses to confuse, even altering reality. Everything he did was to undermine the Rangers, rather then go the way of caveman bludgeoning Rita did.
Zedd had such potential when he first appeared. He could have been the Darth Vader or Doctor Doom of Power Rangers. Instead they turned him into Skeletor.
Mitchthe1soul venjix is pretty close, considering at the the start of rpm he’s basically won with humanity nearly extinct and his forces having overrun the earth, and also surviving his defeat and being the secret main villain of a later season
Zedd is one of the reasons that I would love to voice a Power Rangers villain, even if it was simply a random monster. I've found a lot of actors recur as those random monsters over the years (and some of them have even been in franchises like The Lord of the Rings).
I hope they bring this theme back for Dino Fury. Some genius monster thought it was a good idea to revive Zedd at his prime so now, Dino Fury has a crazed Lord Zedd running amok.

Zedd’s appearance had huge implications for the lore of power rangers, not only was there more super powerful evil forces like Rita out in the universe there was also an apparent hierarchy amongst them.

I love that Goldar becomes a suckup, and is spineless sniveling person of in front Of Lord Zedd. Everything shown with his debut is Outstanding including the way he is shown in Space, teleportation with explosion and snake transmutes into his Staff.

Zedd was a real and awesome villain. Pity parent and Christian groups turned him into a bumbling fool.

David Sebelius It's like damn Lord Zedd goes from utter badass, Terrifying Overlord of Evil, Pure Evil Utter Badass to comedic damn he's a laughable unscary villain.
Man he was perfect exactly how he debuted then he gets greatly altered to become a laughable comedic villain that Enemies of Dudley Do Right are or a scooby doo villain.
And you can thank Hollyweird for the badness that is the latest Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie. Your point? ;P

I had this idea of a scene where it cross-references to Zyuranger, where Zedd sees Goldar and Scorpina's synthetic son a.k.a their baby in their Zyuanger counter part:

Lord Zedd: What?? Son? What are you talking about?
Scorpina: Look and you will see! *Shows Zedd "Scorpina Juniour"*

This song is definitely a perfect Halloween song. Problem is, I don't hear the music that Snizard plays on the pipe organ in Lord Zedd's Monster Heads. It also plays in the Power Rangers Zeo episode "It Came From Angel Grove". Can you find and add that?

Lord Zedd was a true badass. His character was too nightmarish and he had to be rewritten, lol. By far I think Lord Zedd was the best Power Ranger villain.
