Most modern music is rhythm-based, whereas metal is meant to be harmonious, else it becomes a cacophony.

Can we just appreciate for a moment on how perfect the first zord looks from every angle? It's like every part was meant to one instead separated. Unlike the nonsense of the modern zords, this zord is truly the perfect man child dream. Go go power rangers!
You have a good point. It all comes together with an almost whole look. The only disparity is the feet where the blue and yellow zords are.
Meanwhile most modern zords have a problem with having their parts stand out. However there are some exceptions
I feel like Dino Thunder and Mystic Force Zords were closest to the "made to be one" look... at least in show

There were some later Saban and even Disney Megazords that looked cohesive, like in Lightspeed Rescue, Wild Force, and SPD, but I think the increasing messiness of more modern Megazords is due to the Sentai they’re adapted from revisiting a lot of aesthetics that have already been done multiple times over. There’s only so many ways you can make a combining mecha made out of dinosaurs or other animals before you run out of ideas. I think that’s also why vehicle-based Megazords tend to look more cohesive.

Problem is striker eureka just got knocked out by an emp. And the shatterdome has picked up another kaiju signature approaching, another category 4. Gypsy danger is readying itself to go down swinging when all of a sudden, 5 bright and differently colored lights shoot up from the center of the city catching the attention of all remaining combatants. The lights are followed by the roars of five ancient mighty beasts and the beams come together as one. Thundering footsteps are heard as a new machine appears from the city, it’s not a jaeger. What is it? The new machine raises a hand to the sky and a massive sword falls to the earth from the heavens . Quickly picking up its blade the new machine speaks two words. “Megazord activated”

With the piano melody, I see an apocalyptic wasteland of a defeated earth, cities in ruins, fields on fire and zords in pieces... broken and covered in forests and overgrowth like forgotten relics... And then that powerful intro begins... rangers can be seen in the distance, cloaked in worn gear through a dust storm, tattered armor glistening, collecting parts as their zords eyes begin to flicker with light and their mechanical parts begin to move... with hope ... (I really let my imagination run away on this one haha.) What a masterpiece this is! GO! GO!

And also, that you don't always need to be over the top to make your point. They never morphed until the monster showed up, or used the Zords until the monster got huge.
I'm a grown-ass man and I'm still inspired by the teenagers with attitude. Power Rangers came into my life during an abusive childhood and gave me the strength to survive. Plus, who DOESN'T wanna see giant robots beat the piss out of monsters on TV as a kid?

A couple of years ago, Boom! Studios did a kickstarter for a collectors edition box set of their MMPR comics. They finally got around to shipping them shortly after JDF's passing. I just cracked open book one today.......and the Forward was written by him. How much he loved being a part of the franchise. How much joy and satisfaction it brought him to have an impact on so many people's lives. I can't imagine what kind of darkness must have been going through his mind to make him want to end it all. R.I.P. Jason David Frank, thank you for being the inspiration for many playground battles when I was a kid.

for the ones that got nostalgic after hearing this, i recomend reading the power ranger comics from boom studios. they feel like they were made specifically for people that were kids on the 90s, but now are adults and want something more deep and less chidlish
I saw a video about Tommy and his major defeat then thought "What? Tommy, the legendary ranger who joined three other teams defeated by a bunch of freaks?" Then I accepted that because he WAS pretty old at that time and is now taking it super easy. Sad that his white ranger Morpher is broken though beyond repair.

Everytime I hear this cover, the first minute makes me think of a city in chaos, evil attacking civilians and destroying buildings as someone tries to call out for help as they are too weak to make a loud noise until one final time they let out a loud "HELP/TASUKETE!" (For some Japanese Tokusatsu fans) as 1:10 hits us hard as the Heroes arrive on the scene to defeat the vile villains and save us all.
That is actually pretty much what I was imagining too, haha.

That beginning bit is so damn good imo all I'm imagining is all the MM rangers down, de-morphed, surrounded by every villain they've fought. Broken and beaten and when all hope seems lost jason and tommy get up barely standing but determined, they talk to each other as if this will be thier last fight reminiscing but agree the the will continue to protect their friends, families, and the whole damn planet and right as the music truly begins at 1:10 all you hear is TYRANNOSAURUS AND DRAGON ZORD and they charge in to the fight and slowly the rest of them get up one by one till their all back and fighting again then you get the badass line of MEGAZORD ACTIVATE at 3:36 its just so damn cool

so good I have this on repeat literally is the best cover ive heard from power rangers in a long time.
I attribute my love of metal that I’ve developed as an adult to my childhood watching Power Rangers and hearing sick guitar solos, and epic vocals, before watching bad guys of all kinds get their asses kicked by cool heroes, and sometimes giant mechs.
Every power rangers fan needs to hear this atleast once. That dramatic build up to the boss music is just 👌

I'm not even a Power Rangers fan, but I can appreciate how awesome this song is. Electric Guitar is essential for a theme song, like season one of SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron. Maybe I would have given the show a chance if it had this intro. The full song, six minutes and four seconds of awesomeness, every week. You know you'd be in for a good ride.
