the moving life size gundam has been dismantled, however there are still other life size gundams just not moving although some do have transformation mechanisms, like the unicorn gundam although I think that one is or has already been replaced with the RF Nu gundam, its still quite the spectacle though and Im glad I got to see the moving gundam like a couple months before it was dismantled and that specific gundam base/park was closed, which I surmise is due to the fact they opened it during the height of covid thus there weren't a lot of visitors although when quarantine laws loosened they saw some action but Japan at the time still had their tourism closed off so you didn't really get a lot of foreigners, it probably got gutted because it was a failed investment during its run nonetheless they still have plans in the future for something more fascinating, Gundam on their animation sector is thriving with another series upcoming featuring studio Kara the makers of only the biggest mech franchise ever even outside Japan which is evangelion and they even got the evangelion crew and a lot of big names in the industry involved with its production, plus a lot more series and an upcoming live action gundam adaptation, safe to say Gundam or Bandai is working very hard to push out bangers after bangers and a reminder that the Unicorn Album is Sawano Hiroyukis magnum opus, if it werent for gundam he wouldn't continue to make more amazing music in this similar style applied to attack on titan, 86, and a lot of big animes. Gundam simply never disappoints be it sound design, animation, music compositions, story to some degree, and of course mech designs.
The Unicorn Gundam is still up in Tokyo, the FF Nu Gundam was placed in Fukuoka so both are coexisting in different parts of Japan, there is also a 1/1 Freedom Gundam that was put in Shanghai a few years ago to mark a push of Gundam statued outside of China
A little bit of correction, it's not gutted because it's a failed investment but because they originally just wanted it operational for two years. It was planned to be dismantled twice(in 2022 and 2023) but it keeps getting delayed because of fan demands. And back in march 31 this year, they finally decided to dismantle it. It will be rebuilt as a sitting down rx78-2 non moving statue as per the livestream a couple months ago. I also heard it's because of safety concerns. something about the seabreeze causing the statue's foundation to weaken or something, that one I'm not sure so don't qoute me on it lmao. Unfortunately, I couldn't be there on the closing ceremony as well.
The moving gundam statue has been dismantled back in march but will be rebuilt into a new non-moving statue to be displayed next year in osaka If I remember correctly.

I believe some other comments have pointed it out but the moving gundam we now see in the video has been removed as the rent for the port had expired. However, the other non-moving ones are still around. They are: Unicorn gundam in Odaiba(Tokyo), Nu gundam in Fukuoka, and the Freedom gundam in Shanghai.
Sawano-san is a master and his music gives me the same feeling as Keiki Kobayashi from the Ace Combat series. Especially Ace Combat Zero regarding the acoustic guitar.
