Late, but watching TyranitarTube's videos since the speculation period of S&V, to after the games came out, really made me realize how much I love talking about Pokemon lore and rumors. Like this is in part due to TTar's charisma, but I've never had more fun talking about theories for a video game than watching his videos on potential rumors for SV, Area Zero, Heath, Terapagos, the Paldean Empire. Those videos gave me so much joy and that's one of the reasons I'm still so loyal to the Pokémon community. You guys are pretty cool.

I delete hacked pokemon because I don't want to risk being banned, but I always take their held item first.

I feel like lucario has also suffered the same fate (maybe to a lesser extent). Vaporeon is one of my favorites, and is one of my three favorite eeveelutions, and I like lucario since I saw its movie when I was a kid.

i'm really glad this was brought up. and was said the way it was because i have a story
when i started scarlet, i picked myself up a shroodle i named 'shroop', and he very quickly became a very loved pokemon despite it not being a very good one. i carried it alllll the way to the end. and included it in every major battle, simply because i loved him. there wasn't anything special about him, stat or ability wise. i just really liked him. i ended up bringing him to the champion, and was DETERMINED to have him kill her ace. he died 6 times, but i'd max revive him everytime, and throw him back in. and i succeeded, i never got mad when he died because i understood that he was weak. but i loved him, and he meant alot to me, and him being the one to finnish off the champion meant alot to me as well.
Idk how I did it but turns most of my favorites are great in competitive too
Marshadow, Iron valiant, roaring moon, quagsire, gardevoir, (no not for that reason it’s just a reliable pokemon overall) zapdos, suicune just to name a few.

I applaud people who have the patience to shiny hunt on top of IV breeding. I’ve tried shiny breeding twice (Galarian Zigzagoon and Toxel) and didn’t have the patience to continue for Toxel 😅

I have once made a *full* living dex in sw/sh and then surprise traded them for Christmas. It was kinda sad to see my hard work go, but I know I made some people’s days.😊

As someone who likes Gardevoir cause it's a good reliable Pokemon and mega Lopunny cause it's just a good mega I feel the pain

Even normal Lopunny is unironically good.
It's a fast Trick user with Klutz. Give it a Flame orb and you can cripple any physical attacker and pretty easily hit with a powerful High Jump Kick when necessary
Gardevoir is a good pokemon and I use it a lot. Old reliable fairy type

I personally like pretty or feminine looking pokemon because I really like pretty things. If I was actually a pokemon trainer, I would take so much pride in having my pretty and strong pokemon, I'd love to make them pretty jewelry and hair accessories or something lol. I love tsareena and Glaceon even though they've got a fair share of weaknesses. They're my babies lol. I really like nihlego, pheromosa, gardevoir, litigant, florges, lopunny, primarina(I absolutely love mermaids lol) and the list goes on, but I'm sure you get the point lol. I do think it's funny as hell to make jokes about my pokemon being lesbians though lmfao.
Thanks for acknowledging the chastity bit. My Fav is(and will always be) Gardevior and that's because when I got Emerald when I was little my only options for psychic type early game was either Abra or Ralts...and I didn't have a friend so I couldn't fully evolve abra...

Man i loved vaporeon back in 2017, it was so fun using it on my first run of ultra moon, but now i dont even want to use it because somone on 4chan said "Hey guys."
They say the shiny hunting community makes shiny Pokémon lose value. I am not sure about that, but having a group like that on the internet is just weird. There is never a Synchro Nature hunting community nor a Static hunting community nor others, but the overworld Abilities idea is still fun.

I actually have a lot of fun helping people. I’ve helped people figure out randomizers, with nuzlockes, with their pokedex, and general gameplay knowledge. Pokemon is my special interest, so maybe that plays a part in it, but I just like helping people with the games. I have an absurd amount of knowledge and I like using it for good. Of course, I don’t know everything. I just know a lot

A living dex is easy, a living dex with every form of Pokémon from its original region was a lot of work. Shiny dex is in progress but it's a very ambitious project. I'm around 300/1000.

i love Tsareena because when i played through Sun the first time i caught a little Bounsweet and kept her with me the entire journey and she carried me when she evolved, sucks it got the same treatment as Gardevoir :/
Yeah. There are so many cool looking Pokémon like Tsareena (as you mentioned), Gardevoir and Vaporeon that were ruined by the community. Like, they are legitimately animals, and this game/anime/tcg is targeted towards KIDS, Imagine like a 7 year old searching up Vaporeon on the internet bc he/she liked it, and finding… that.
Ah man. I'm using Tsareena right now in Pokemon Violet and I didn't realize how high its Sp. Def was! Its my counter to Sp. Atkrs and carrying my team in the game.
Just wish it was faster though
On Christmas I plan to suprise trade a ton of boxes of squirtles because who knows who is gonna need them plus its my favorite pokemon and everyone should enjoy squirtle
I once traded a legendary just because I wanted to make someone happy. Today, someone traded me a legit, perfect IV shiny Japanese ditto. I've been really sick so it really made my day. I'm going to pass it on by giving people my extra perfect IV Pokémon I get while shiny breeding.
Im jusy so glad my girl Liligant never got hit with the 34 popularity, shes been my favorite for almost 15 years, and i never have to give some weird "its not for bad reasons!" Explanations, lol.

I absolutely hate what the internet has done to Vaporeon for seemingly no reason, especially since it isn't ANYTHING like the other Pokemon that fans oversexualize

As someone who like Zoroark I can feel that many people will look at me weirdly because Zoroark has been sexualized too. And everytime Zorua is in the game I spend my time just hunting for it just to add to my team. I used many pokemon that weren't strong in my Violet playthrough, like a shiny Golduck that I got as Psyduck while going to the titan Bombirdier. I only got that shiny because a random rockruff forced me inti the battle and I didn't have a shiny charm. It was all blind luck. And Zoroark swept through the psychic gym on my second try. And I like all of the Pokemon regardless of what people think and say, same with many Pokemon. I like X and Y because it's my childhood since I grew up watching pokemon XYZ anime. And recently I helped my friend get into pokemon by doing a randomizer Soul link and genuinely I have fun so far. I explain to her hoe the nuzlockes and soul links go and how pokemon type chart works and how to progress forward (we're doing it on HGSS). And I love those people that are willing to trade version exclusives via Pokémon home to help me and probably other people without a friend that owns the second version with completing our Pokedexes

I caught a shiny ghastly in Pokémon leaf green while sp Atk ev training heck I uploaded it on my UA-cam channel and what’s even more funny is how I wasn’t looking for it and I been getting Pokémon rom hacks these days cuz I’m just not interested in new games and I actually didn’t mind the let’s go games.
As a shiny hunter, I am proud that I got so many shinies without cheating.
My proudest shiny hunt is shiny Arceus from BDSP.
I am a competitive player to and I love climbling to master ball tier of rank doubles with my shiny competitive team.
There are people who accuses me of hacking but I dont care. 😆
Vaporeon is a special Pokémon for me because of a very specific reason xD (and NO, it’s NOT because of the weird a$$ fan art that exists online💀). The reason is that I played Pokémon (go) since like the beginning and, in the early days, getting a Pokémon with over 3 000 cp was a huge accomplishment for me and it just happened so that vaporeon was (at least) one the first that I got as a 3000+cp-er ;).

I relese many hack shinys or just trade them away. I done to Pokemon I want as a shiny but I rather take the long way then take any short cuts to get there.

lowkey i genuinely have only 2 of the virtues...
I can understand the full odds hunters, I myself don’t have the patience to do a full odds hunt, but I decided not to get the shiny charm in Scarlet because you go through “encounters” extremely fast anyways and it’s just a good feeling when a random full odds pops up.
In Scarlet alone I have 8 completely random full odds out of a total of 18 in my life.
I shiny hunt, currently only with shiny charm odds in scarlet and violet, and I don't mean I'm hunting in one and just grabbing the exclusives. I'm not using any sandwiches, outbreaks or date skips as well.
I also collect in world of warcraft, got a few mounts I'm over 200 attempts on.

In SW/sh, the dlc Regis are static encounters, so they're always full odds.

I LOVE ranting about PKMN and other things I like, even if people already know those facts. I’m the ranter, I will talk or write a paragraph for HOURS if I get a chance (not really). I have SO MANY cool personal PKMN experiences to share (such as when I lost a shiny alpha Alakazam because I didn’t have enough stars to get it, despite having enough exp to GET said star, good times). Oh also I lost a shiny Parasect due to thinking that it was a good idea to weaken it with my ALPHA STARAPTOR. I call it “the curse of the Yellow Shinies”, and it’s a part of my strange narrative now. As of today, I have a shiny Azumarill, which helps me fight against the curse, but my brain needs more so uhm.. wish me luck. (Speaking of my strange narrative, the team of shinies I have in PKMN Violet, including the Azumarill, have a mystery-dungeon like story in my head of a guild ran by the shiny Gogoat, who brings in visitors, such as Tarountula, now Spidops, Cubchoo, and Maril, who is now Azumarill. I think I base the personalities off of natures or something or just vibes?? idk)
Remember: if there’s a 20 level difference between you and the shiny, start chucking those great balls
As someone who plays Pokemon Masters, it is 100% possible to play the game without spending money. It’s pretty easy to get non paid gems just by playing the story and events, not to mentions they give you plenty of sync pairs for free. Sure, I have spent a bit of money on the game, but not hundreds of dollars. I really hope nobody has to hear this, but don’t waste your entire savings on gacha games. Especially now that we have the Mix Banner.

You’re saying clodsire is dead weight? You just don’t know how to use it then. Clodsire’s purpose is to get hazards (mainly toxic spikes) up and be tanky.

(Excluding ORAS) so yeah bro you’ll have people with issues. Myself included. The romhack community is where I encounter a lot of hate by people trying to relive their childhood. I respect it.
In the pokemon community it’s obvious to see who learned to communicate assertive, and who learned to communicate with aggression and intimidation.

I have a question for nuzlocke players. if you battle Peony in Crown Tundra early and lose, does that end the Nuzlocke, even though story-wise, it doesn't matter whether you win or lose?

I gave away like 5 shiny iron valiants that I got while trying to get a living shiny dex. I don’t mind the hacked mons, unless people try to sell them off as legit. Heck I even hacked in a pikachu-shaped marshadow to use on my team because I like him that much and that’s what they get for dexit.
