Best thing out right now? That's debatable. I think it's one of the best but the best? Nah. Shows like Peaky Blinders, Kingdom 2019, Mindhunter and The Boys are all better shows than Ozark in my opinion.

Besides Laura, Helen was my favorite character. She was probably the scariest woman I've ever seen on TV. She's right up there with Snoop on The Wire.

Tom Pelphrey (Ben) is one of the most talented actors I have seen on screen. The way Tom Pelphrey portrayed Ben was beyond believable and so impressive. We felt real compassion, worry, and anger towards the erratic behaviors of Ben. Season 3 was incredible and I am so appreciative of the Ozark cast and crew.

Yeh he played the part brilliantly. To play a character that has mental health issues and make it believable takes some doing!
My heart truly broke for Ben but not for Wendy. She gets more ruthless and self-absorbed as the series goes on. Ben was a guy that had a big heart...and so much compassion for people (the teen student, the marine, Helen's daughter), but, like Wendy said, w/o his meds he becomes a danger to himself and everyone around him. Sad that he came off the meds because of side effects.

I agree. When I first saw her when she was young, I thought she was odd looking, but watching her, I couldn't take my eyes off her. She's very.....not sure what the word is, maybe alluring? Great actress 😊

Ozark is most underrated show right now in Netflix
True, Netflix has mostly garbage shows, but Ozark rules the day.

Laura is great at playing seemingly nice, normal characters that are actually really dark. She was such an evil bitch in The House of Mirth. Oh, and in Mystic River too.

Kudos to Laura and Tom for doing such a phenomenal job portraying the emotions that are truly lived by families dealing with mental illness. Tom's portrayal was so raw and honest. Great job everyone!
Tom's scene in the taxi, was AMAZING
Just watched that last night with my wife, who lost a brother to mental illness 32 years ago today, had such a hard time with that scene and the whole episode. It was crushing. Brilliant, but amazing how Tom's performance captured the actual horror that is mental illness. For the first time in TV/Movie history, Tom's performance should transcend 'TV" and be nominated for an Oscar. An Emmy doesn't do that justice.
moxxi Unbelievable that Tom didn't even get an Emmy nod for his very real portrayal of a person suffering from mental illness. He was robbed.

I never thought I would get attached to a series again like I did with The Sopranos, but Ozark did it. Hell I was addicted by the second episode of season one.

It's so similar to The Soprano's in that when the main characters are going to be okay, someone pulls them back into the shit with a whole lot of new dangers. They are constantly being pulled under the water and are constantly fighting to breathe.
Tom's character was outstanding this season. I love that the writers have grown Julia's character and given Sofia a chance to grow. Janet Mcteer will be missed.
The 5-minute taxi ride with Tom was out of this world. Thank you, ever so much, Tom, for that performance. Puts a lump in my throat every time I watch it.
That scene was the first I saw, because my dad had the show on in the living room, and it hooked me. I watched the rest of S3 w/ my Dad and then went back and watched it from the start.
Julia’s character is incredible, and so diverse. I look forward to her scenes, because you never know what she would do next.

Tom’s performance in portraying how serious and important mental illness overtakes a human was outstanding. I cried and sympathized with his character and he should win an award for his amazing acting in this season.

It always amazes me how actors/actresses are so articulate in describing their art. I don't know of any other profession where they are able to describe what they do so eloquently.
Would love to hear Tom’s thoughts on the cab scene. Haven’t been that captivated in a long time.
I really love this interview. He did a great job asking the questions and not over talking the actors response. Letting them reply fully. I actually watched the interview all the way through. Most people that interview actors don't let them finish their thoughts. His voice was totally relaxing. Great.

I haven't seen anyone mention the gritty filming. I can feel the sticky, sweaty days. And everyone isn't beautified beyond recognition. It's FANTASTIC.
All these actors are so down to earth types of people you can see why the show is doing so well, some incredible performances especially Tom and Laura’s last episode together is powerfully moving, I don’t know how they can start and stop these scenes during production and get right back into character like that just incredible talent. Love this show
I'm a binge watcher, usually takes me a few episodes to be invested in a whole show, but Ozark had me at episode 1. Always been a fan of Jason Bateman, he drew me towards this series. So curious how he would do with this. Thank You Jason for a wonderful experience. We want Season 4!!! Yesterday......

hi from Queensland Australia! As someone who has battled mental health issues, the brilliance that is Tom nailed it. Watching him reminded me of some of my darkest moments but in a way I could appreciate.
This show is the best show I've seen since breaking bad and breaking bad was the best show to ever grace televsion. I cant wait for season 4!!

If it were up to me and I was the show producer of production I''d run this 6 seasons fa show!!! I would surely keep Mr Martin byrd and his crew going full speed. Then I'd take it another step try to set it up as a reel, a motion picture or film, build and try to get help putting on the screen with the same exact characters, introduce some new ones, round them up together. Major motion picture, just go raw.

Wasn’t sure I wanted to watch this but once I did my life was frozen.My kids for five days couldn’t understand why I was in a trance like state.I was glued to all 4 episodes.I went to sleep and woke up to this movie.My family is glad to have me back after season 4 episode 1,finished.It was so addictive to this story line I haven’t been able to get Ruth,Marty,and his world out of my head.Very clever script and even more extraordinary acting from everyone that appeared on my screen.Damn!!It was sooooo good.

Hearing about these actors and actresses talk about how they acted some tough scenes sounds like rocket science to me. I remember acting as a kid in school, and I played a hobo, and I couldn't remember to ask for a quarter for some coffee. So I asked for some money, I was so nervous. Imagine being these people! Crazy.
Not since SOPRANOS and BREAKING BAD have I been glued and interested in a series. I absolutely love OZARK. So dark. So many twists and turns. It's a strange, violent, bizarre, roller coaster ride that I would pay to go on again and again!

I watched the first season in one day too( stayed up until 6:30am)visiting son & daughter-in-law in FL.They wanted me to watch this incredible series, watched 3 seasons,came home, rewatched w/my husband, unable to travel. He loved it as much as I did! Can’t wait for season 4!

All of the performances are outstanding. Honorable mentions; Wendy, Marty, Darlene and Jacob Snell, all of the Langemores, Helen, the kids, Buddy, Ben, FBI special agent Petty. I was definitely drawn in. Excellent writers, directors and actors. Waiting patiently for S4.
Laura Linney is so radiant.. perhaps that's why when she plays dark it's so powerful, she creates that ambiguity, that tension.

Confession -- I just finished all seasons . I binged until 7a.m three consecutive times. Slept a little then back to the binge. Kept me up and on my elbow for hours!! There MUST be a continuation! It just can't end the way it did. No!! My favorite cast member is the sassy, bad, ass, street, smart, take no shyt, "Ruth", played by Julia Garner. Second best was Jason Bateman. How he played such a cool unbothered character no matter what was happening was amazing!!

I'm well into season 4 now. I know it has to end, but very very few episodic dramas have ever captivated me as much as Ozark. It will be sad to see it go, but I know all good things end. Hope to see these incredible actors again in more. But Laura Linney! You are really beautiful and thanks for your wonderful acting.

The entire cast was and is awesome. I started Ozark, put it down and just revisited a week or so ago. Took no time to binge it all. I wish this didn't have to end because it's well written, acted and directed. Tom Pelphrey....was awesome. He deserves a nomination and win. And Ruth is to be reckoned with...Wendy has just grown and did great things as a character. And Helen I wanted to kill but I love her character too.

Thanks so much for the interview. Yes, the quarantine brought me here, but the acting and storyline kept me here. I had to stop periodically to get over the violence or the emotional intensity. Raves for all of the actors. Until the last few episodes, I thought Julia was the cast knockout, but Tom's last scenes really did me in. I'd like to see him interviewed about those.
I found myself thinking about what an easy solution murder was to a problem.
I watched all 3 seasons in like a week i couldn't stop watching it. Great show!!
I've binge watched seasons 1-3 in their entirety multiple times since March and will continue to do so until season 4 is released.

Have to admit, I put off watching Ozark for a couple of years as I thought (incorrectly) it was just a Breaking Bad clone... boy was I wrong... Just watched all three seasons in about 10ish days and its easily the best thing I've watched in 2020.. Kudos to everyone involved for making something so edgy and binge-worthy!
