Bad words is a ridiculously underrated movie and also has great rewatch ability
His character on Silver Spoons was getting more popular than Ricky Schroder's (because his acting was also better) so he was written off the show. His acting in It's Your Move was superb. He has great comedic timing.
He skipped two of the most successful box office hit of his carrer: Horrible Bosses, Identity Thief
And Hancock WTF
@@nicdoe7436 that's more like Will Smith's movie
And Hancock, dodgeball.
If anyone here has not seen the movie "Game Night" I am practically begging you to watch it. One of the funniest I've seen in a long time.
agreed! The two main characters have such great comedic chemistry - it's hilarious!
I disagree.
That dog scene ... and Creepy Matt Damon!
I have it on DVD ! It's moving up the pile tomorrow !
I thought Game Night was not as good as it should have been.
An amazing, charismatic and underrated actor and director. In my opinion, Arrested Development is the best comedy series of all time, and much of this is due to Jason's brilliant performance as Michael Bluth. Love this guy.
Ozark really rangbwelll with me. The first episode was amazingly shot, acted, and directed. Wish we could’ve seen more of Jason’s other movies, like This is Where I Leave You, and Zootopia.
eleanor shellstrop yes i loved This Is Where I Leave You
He comes across as a very down to earth and grateful for his good fortune guy.
I consider him one of my favourite actors of all time, every comedy movie/series that he was in was pure gold, especially his scenes, he steals every scene with the way he deliver the comedy, he is amazing, considering I'm rewatching Arrested Development (after more than a decade) he is so amazing there.
Jason’s voice is so soothing bro
I know eh.
First childhood crush... did not disappoint. He aged well. Ozark is amazing.
Thanks for your love❤ and support.
@@jasonbateman5336 stfu you’re not real
This guy is such an underrated actor. Some of his works are downright hilarious and thrilling.
I find it super interesting how he can do both dramas and comedy so well
I had no idea Bateman's been acting his entire life
Same here
If you can find it, watch It's Your Move. Brilliant TV series.
@@MayaBishopStan all that time to hone his skills paid off
HE'S VENGEANCE.
Bad Words is one of my favorite films, period. Love everything about it. It's a crazy little masterpiece and I just don't understand why it didn't do better at the box office. Great job with the soundtrack too.
Am i the only one that can’t picture him laugh
Pepper Brooks in _Dodgeball_. He MUST do more roles like that, he was a monster in that role.
Jason's career is a perfect example of the kindness of others coupled with his abilities. Watch his older stuff and his current jobs. He has grown into a incredible Actor. Thank you so much for living your dreams Jason. Gives me a laugh, a smile and hope for Humanity.
I wonder how many shows/movies he has been involved in. Jason has been in so much. He has such an active and continuous career! He’s a genius.
One gets the impression that Jason wasn't a big fan of school, I can't exactly place why that is though.
Yeah, I was thinking the same - especially since he directs now too - and that requires so much prep and study (much like school).
thats cuz schools are usless duh ☺
@Tyler u dont know anything about money
@Tyler lmfao false. You know how may highschool dropouts are millionaires?
Overall, I love when you guys make these "(Actor's Name) Breaks Down His Career," videos. I enjoy all of them, but when I saw there was a new one for Jason Bateman, I have never been more excited to watch one. Him and Paul Rudd are two people who I think it's impossible to not love. Forget about War and all the other problems America has. Just have Paul Rudd and Jason Bateman go and visit Countries. We can achieve World Peace before lunch time.
I completely agree and I'd add Steve Carell to that list too. Everyone that has worked with him thinks he's just about the nicest guy in show business.
Mr. Nick Wilde doesn't want to mention his pivotal voice role in Zootopia.
Batemann, did you forgot how commercial successful Zootopia was?
Have always enjoyed the parts he has chosen to play in movies and TV. I will always watch whatever project he choses to be in. Hate to see Ozark come to a end. Am 79 and spend most of my time on the computer watching TV shows and movies, pretty much house confined so that is my life. MKL&ML
I had the biggest crush on Jason Bateman in Valerie at 16 and that crush endures 32 years (dear god) later.
Same here 😍
Same here
Same. ❤️🇨🇦
Ditto
ditto.
I can't believe how great of an actor he was as a kid.
They skipped Family Ties for some reason but he was fantastic in that.
Woah . . . I watched every season of Family Ties and have zero recollection of him in any episode.
@@craigresnianky6909 because he wasn't
His sarcasm is my spirit animal
I can’t believe he didn’t mention horrible bosses. Definitely one of my favorite Jason Bateman movies.
I stuck it in the DVD player expecting nothing and was so invested in them getting away with it.
Good point.
Could’ve replaced chandler in friends
OMG I thought the same
While watching this timeline, I suddenly thought of Matthew Perry.
I might of actually watched friends or who ever david swimmer was
He went on to do a great sitcom instead.
Jason Bateman plays himself in Ozark
How did they not include The Switch? That movie was hilarious & his character really fit him. The little kid that played his son was also great.
And Hancock
I absolutely LOVED him in Couples Retreat. And Horrible Bosses. And EVERYTHING I've seen him in. He is one-of-a-kind.
I love this guys sarcasm. I hope he's that sarcastic in real life.
Your awesome
He has a good voice for sarcasm - always cracked me up on Arrested Development.
He’s been able to stay in the lifestyle for nearly 40 years…insane to me
He’s honestly one of the best actors of our time, super cool guy
that is very true he is one of the very best actors ever
"It's Your Move" was a favorite! My brother and I loved it! Fan of Jason Bateman since the '80s. I'll watch anything he's in. His success is so well deserved. What a gracious fellow.
Thanks for your love❤ and support.
I don’t care what anyone says Teen Wolf Too is a masterpiece. I truly love ❤️ that movie. Such a great actor! I am surprised he didn’t mention “Zootopia”
No Game Night? The greatest movie of 2018?
Reinhardt Presents well they did say up to ozark and Game night came out after that. However, they did miss a lot more of his movies. This video could have probably went on for like 10 more minutes.
it's pictured there at the end of the timeline but yeah they didn't include any remarks - great comedy
@@yoBANNANA true
Yeah that movie was surprisingly good.
hahaha
I didn't realise he was a child actor.
Yeah, I think they even pushed him as one of those teen heart throbs - I think it was still during the time of "Tiger Beat" and those rags - might've been before your time.
@@i_love_rescue_animals I unfortunately am old enough to have first saw him in Silver Spoons and also have owned a couple Tiger Beat mags.
A lot of people don't know that, I think because he's had so much success as an adult as well without being problematic, so his older works have just sort of faded into the background
@@canuck21 Hey don't forget It's Your Move! That was my favorite show as a kid.
He also played a little boy named James on Little House on the Prairie for a few seasons. He was about 10 or so at the time.
it's a shame you guys skipped the movie "This is where I leave you" was a great movie and would of loved to know more about how it came together
it’s crazy how jason started out as a child actor and managed to stay an actor throughout all his life
Only the best can make that transition.
he's a rare one
