This was perfect timing, mine just showed up today (along with quite a few others - this Hoya addictions is wild!). It was sold as Hoya lyi small leaf, leaves are hairy and I cannot get over how stiff they are, really odd feeling. Can’t wait to see it grow!
I love how all or many of your little cover pots are all the same. Different colors but same style. In my brain it makes what could be a cluttered collection of plants into a very visually pleasing space. Another goal for my house plants.
I think also different pots can make up for a nice space :) However, these are very cheap here, so I tend to get those and I like a lot of the colors they have. I think they look cute :D
@@BasiePlants Yes different pots are also nice. I just think in the way you are displaying all oyour amazing hoyas the cute pots just add that little bit of extra. And I am big on color. Old ladies always go nuts for color. I just try to keep it calmin my planters. Like you there are just so many of them. I would not have it any other way either. Love them all.
Hi, I just watched the video. I have purchased lately hoya Lyi which was described as ,,Hoya Lyi LT08-006 (not form China)" it looks exacel the same as clone which you are showing on video and the texture of leaves is exactly as you are saying hairy, kind of unplesen in my opinion😅 and hard to describe. I really can't get it out of my head I tried to dig out some more information but haven't found anything else then what you presented. I will wait for another video about Hoya Lyi and for bloom of my. Thanks for all your work I really appreciated your great videos and the knowledge you are sharing ❤
Pretentious? Immodest? (the opposite of modest, the word you were looking for) I've just received a Hoya lyi, looking forward for it to.... do its thing! Sometimes I feel I spend my time listening to the grass grow :D
Hi! I hope it got translated well :) The offical name is Hoya lyi - thinks like China are just locations - so this would mean that it is Hoya lyi collected in China. However, if the plant came with no location, we cannot add it afterwards as we cannot be certain it was collected there even if it looks similar to something that was. I hope that part makes sense :) Now, I was told that this Hoya lyi (with smoother, velvety leaves) is what matches the publication best. The other clones with smaller, more hairy leaves could end up being aff lyi (but if they came with the name Hoya lyi, it is best to leave them as is). They don't match the publication so well it seems. It is not a plant I would grow in full sun; my plant started to grow better and to grow faster (and bloom) in lower light. I hope this helps! :) Good luck with your Hoya lyi. It is a beautiful hoya!
You always make my day happy, love your information on these beauties 💕.
I am happy to hear that 💚

I love your scholarship and your links to you research sources. (I’m a librarian)

The flower is so beautiful, I am so happy I got to see it irl 💜
my H. lyi from Karolina finally rooted. Can't wait for it to bloom 💚
She is a tease! 😬 You think every month it is about to happen but it’s playing the long game with this one for sure. Worth it though 💜
Thank you!!
I loved the video!
You have lovely Hoyas!
My lyi grows under fluorescent light and in leca and has bloomed there succesfully.
What beautiful blooms!

I really enjoyed Watching😆🤲💖I love your humor and presentation
Still struggling with mine sadly, I think I’ll move it to natural light and soil! Who knows when I’ll get to it though lol 😂
I wish it would be possible for you to put the year in your dates. Thank you
I love seeing pics and getting info!
I know a "Jean", he pronounces it "John"...or let's us pronounce that way 🤔
Haha, let's us pronounce it that way 😂 Well, I think it is most likely something similar to John anyways :D
@@BasiePlants but FOR SURE not Jean like blue jeans 😬😬😂
How do I find about the pegboard wall
Love your videos!! For the French botanist, you would pronounce his name Léveillé = lay-vay-yay ;)
What good does zeolite do? I am in love with pumice because it is moist but also gives air. Thank you for posting :)
I have killed all of them sadly but I ordered it again! I’m hopeful!
I hope you have more luck with the next one ❤️
I have a Hoya lyi that does not have pubescent leaves. Does that mean it isn't lyi? It has a peduncle so I may see the blooms soon.
👍👍👍

Or flash the name up and don’t try to pronounce it?
