  • NASA documentary about its activities in 1973. The focus is on the Skylab station and crewed missions, the Pioneer Jupiter flyby, and the ERTS (Landsat) earth observation satellite. Future projects like Apollo-Soyuz or the Shuttle are mentioned. Topics about flight research and safety are also covered.
    AI upscale (Topaz AI) was used to resample the film to full HD resolution. While it works in most cases, some artifacts are present in some sequences.
    To prevent any issues, original music was replaced with generic themes from UA-cam's library.

    May 1973 - Launch of the United States' orbital workshop, Skylab 1
    June 1973 - Skylab 2 mission in which astronauts aboard Apollo spacecraft rendezvoused and docked with the orbital workshop. This crew carried a parasol, tools, and replacement film to repair the orbital workshop. The crew freed the jammed solar array and increased power to the workshop.
    July 1973 - Skylab 3, was launched using Apollo hardware on 28 Jul. 1973 and its mission lasted 59 days.
    November 1973 - Skylab 4, the last mission on the workshop was launched on 16 Nov. 1973 and remained in orbit for 84 days.
    December 1973 - Pioneer 10 achieved the first flyby of Jupiter.

    That soyuz spacecraft looks like a Klingon Bird of prey because of the antanaes near the solar panels
