Rest in Peace to the Rado family. Such handsome young men! Ron you had me in tears at the end. Reminds me so much of my family. Thank you Lisa for sharing your family with us!
I am in tears by the beautiful gesture you had of joining the family at the end. I wondered why you were so dressed up. Makes sense now. I know they are grateful for not being forgotten. Thanks for letting us share these visits with you.
Ron looking spiffy there ☺️. Thank you for the back story of the Rado family....hopefully once she's get the inscription and pic up we can go back. Nice ending.....very real looking with you in it 💗🕊️
Rocco Rado is one of mt carmels memorable grave names ive past it so many times and always wondered.. the big grave is kind of sinking actually it leans more and more every year, i now know the tale thanks to you sir as always.....i went to maryhill a few hours ago and left Tricia Pacaccio fresh roses ...her story is still stinging inside my friend i cant get over it.....im also thinking of puttin some plexi over the broken stained glass window in the kersten mausoleum at rosehill, cant do any harm and it will keep out the critters and protect it from gettin more broken.you have really motivated me and im gonna run it by the groundskeepers just to make sure i dont get in trouble....ordered myself a black tee and a purple hoodie ,dude the green lettering is so cool to me i cant wait
This country was always welcoming to those that came here and strive to find a better life. Not what we see today. The last time I was at mt Carmel I was 2 hours just wandering paying my respects. This cemetery has the most post mortem photos than any other I have visited. May God keep all these resting 🙏 people in his loving arms of protection 🙏 and bless you Ron for your kind nature that shines thru in every video you film. You look very nice today. Thank you for taking us along on your visits. Yes the gentleman in the picture is deceased. Be safe on your journey
Thank you to the Rado family for sharing and allowing your family's story to be told and included in this video. Thank you Ron for taking us along on your journey to such a beautiful Cemetery. And thank you for the respect you show the deceased, along with your well researched and extremly informative stories about them.
Thank you to the Rado family, they had things rough in Italy, before they come to USA, God bless them. Thank you Lisa for allowing us to visit your relatives grave. Respect to the Rado family.
Amazing story Ron, extremely respectful and moving! Thank you for paying your respect an remembering a soul long gone but with you and all your followers, not forgotten!
Such nice looking men gone too soon. Love when your in this cemetery so peaceful and beautiful. Your camera work is fantastic I’ve told you before you are by far the best channel on UA-cam.
I found Dominick Rado's cemetery record on FamilySearch.org (which is free) and his cause of death is listed as "chronic myocarditis." There's a curious note added to his line in the records and written in pencil that I think says "raised and sunk" or "rained and sunk" dated 7/29/36. He was living at 2614 W. Huron Street at the time he died.
I have seen the term "raised and sunk" or "heaved and sunk" when describing a Person's last breath. Perhaps there was an inquiry into his death a few years after he died, and the note was added after the Witnesses or Medical Personnel were questioned.
Fascinating video at Mount Carmel cemetery that you did today. The opening was beautiful & I loved the closing of the video where you went & sat next to the Rado grave as the photo went back in time. Loved the video The music was absolutely beautiful ♥️❤️🌹✝️💖👍💝 Looking forward to more of your UA-cam videos 👍👍❤️❤️The photoshop at the end was great!!👍👍
I love the photo dissolves from "back in the day" to the present time. It shows how cemeteries that are well-kempt can really be kind of timeless. I have often considered how long some of the items on the mausoleum altars or shelves have been sitting there and how the area around the cemeteries have changed while the cemeteries stay the same to a greater or lesser extent. I also notice that the "dissolve" at the end of this video has a new element (if I am not mistaken) that Ron has incorporated into it. That being his superimposing himself into the vintage photo that is being dissolved into from our time to then. Nice!
The ending was so clever, I’m impressed. I can only take a photo, make a call and send a text with my phone and just recently got onto u tube. I’m getting there at a snails 🐌 pace. 😂 Thanks Ron ❤️🇦🇺
I will always love these graves at Mount Carmel. America was built by immigrants. My grandfather was one of the 8 founding fathers of the Maria SS. Addolorata Italian Aid Society that is still in existence today. They have a book of bylaws that my grandfather's name is in. It was founded and incorporated in Chicago in 1926. At least two of his sisters' husbands also made-up part of the 8 founders. It was started to aid Italian immigrants from Borgetto, which is a small Mountain town outside of Palermo in Sicily. That's where my mother's family was from. They are all buried at Mount Carmel too. Grandpa died of a heart attack at work I think in 1954. Two sons are buried with him. One was 13 and accidentally shot himself when he found a gun on a shelf in the kitchen at an Italian wedding. The other son died at 17 of a heart ailment. They died 9 months apart in the 1930's, I think 1934. The wakes were held in the house back then. My grandmother is also buried with them there. I think she was 86 or 87 when she died in 1982. I actually have the original contract when my grandpa purchased the graves in 1934 when their first son died. His signature is on the contract. I never met him, seeing his signature is so cool for me.
The cemetery is beautiful!, love the way you morf yourself back in time to look like you're right there with the people. Love your work. Thanks again or showing close ups of the pictures on the headstones. The cemetery has a lot of Mausoleums, their beautiful. Thanks for sharing another great video. 😊🌻🌷
0:05 The fade out of yesteryear and the fade in of you walking up present day is always magical. The stones being there through all that time. 0:50 What a beautiful mausoleum! All those spires. I don't know what else to call them. Just lovely. 2:39 I didn't remember him committing suicide. I will look at the video. 4:13 Beautiful and graceful. 4:50 These really are beautiful markers. I like the metal alloy ones. Whatever they combine makes for a long lasting and non-rusting material. 7:20 I agree. Probably the better side. May have had an injury on the other side or discoloration on the other side and it might have been easier on the eyes for a profile photo to be done. 9:24 Those 2 angels are beautiful. 10:10 and 10:40 Beautiful. 14:30 So unfortunate the pretty angel is broken. 14:50 That monument really stands out. 17:58 Dominick died on Christmas Eve. That made Christmas very sad each year I'm sure. I hope she can find out more about how Dominick passed and about the history of Robert. So sad about Joseph dying in the train wreck. 21:59 The music is always so beautiful and special. Such a thoughtful and magical and beautiful end to the story and the video. This is another one I must show my Mom.

The ending of this video is so beautiful! RIP to the Rado family. They were way too young to pass. Ron thanks for the respect you give to everyone. Thank you for the stellar end to this video.
How you honored this family. If they would have know the future of that photo--they couldn't have understood it. And my thoughts about the older woman (grandmother?) is that she is probably younger in that picture than I am now....clothes and hairstyles have so changed. I live in stretch pants and hoodies... Your ending was very emotional....loved the fade to black + white. Brilliant!!
That was so neat how you inserted yourself into that photo. It made me wish I could insert myself into a picture with my son, just to be with him again.
Very well done Ron, especially with the time travel photo! This is why I and the rest of your followers love your work, you are genuine of heart and meticulous with everything you do. ❤️
Ron, my Great-grandfather worked for the railroad as well, and died in 1902 (I think it was) when a train fell on him and crushed him to death. The Mormon genealogy records stated that his oldest Son was just 4, which would be my Grandfather. Been trying to find a newspaper clipping or obituary for him, but thus far no luck. Those guys who worked at the railroad had a hard job that was oftentimes dangerous if not fatal. Bless their hearts. Rest in Peace. And thanks to the family for being so kind to allow us to see her ancestors pictures. Those photos are true treasures and priceless and it's an honor to be able to have a glimpse into their lives, and see the way they were
I really enjoy your videos especially from this cemetery.. I love the ones of pictures on the graves it captures a story in time from 70,80 to 100 years or more.. It's great that so many of them have lasted time long..
U look very nice, Ron! Dignified, Sir! 6:56 Serritella grave, I agree with u, the picture appears to b of a deceased individual. Very scary. I am watching on my tablet n the mans eyes appear closed. I look away n then look back n his eyes appear slightly open!!!
I know that I've written about this before, but in addition to your normal way of telling a story and bringing "life" to the stories of those who've passed, that is SO COOL how you find a picture of a gravestone from the early 1900's and slowly merge it to a shot of how it looks today. You take the time to get the angle, distance and perspective to perfectly match (no easy job, I'm guessing!). Very well done - thank you for your attention to detail.
Ron, your video making skills combined with your excellent story-telling skills are just improving more and more with each video you make! (You were great even at the beginning but the special effects merging your photo and the Rado Family photo was just great. And your choice of music is always spot on as well. I used Bensound for college projects and the website is just great. I just love watching all your videos. Not looking forward to when I hit the last one and have to wait for a new one to see them/you. Thank you for all you do.
