From "Speak" and "It is done" to long poetic monologues about the beauty of the sun... That's some fantastic character development for Lae'zel. A very worthy romance
Her passion burns even hotter than her bloodlust ... something we dont get to see until we're in the thick of it. Very well written, if slightly disturbing, from a domestic violence standpoint. Anyway, her nova-hot passion, and her combat prowess, are her 2 most redeeming features by far - it makes her prickliness and lust for combat & bloodshed, easier to bear. Think of her like a brown eagle - a fierce remorseless predator, but one who mates just fiercely, and for life. Ive been trying to get a 3-way romance going with Shadowheart, Laezel, and Karlach, but I apparently sequenced it wrong (in my 1st playthru laezel's duel happened before i'd redeemed shadowheart, who's now being coy, and before I got karlach's engine repaired). I'll try again after i finish my 1st playthru (lvl 7 going on 8 ATM).
TIP: In our duel, I went 1-1 with her. The first caught me unprepared and she 1-shotted me with her GSOTAP. I was 100% ready on the retry howevr - i had to cheese her because im playing a glass canon female wiz instead of a fighter class, so I pre-wet the ground around the campfire, unequipped all her gear, temporarily boosted my dex for better initiative, then turned in. As soon as she said go, i popped haste and smoked her with 2 maxed lightning bolts (each hitting for 2x damage, plus no resistance AND rerolls on low dice), before she could even cock her fists. ⚡️😎⚡️ Laezel: Incredible ! 😵💫😍 Moi: You doubted me ?💪😁
Because I never romanced Laezel in my playthrough, I never really realised how trapped she felt down on the ground rather than in the stars. THis is romance in a game done right for me, there are things about these characters you just won't understand unless you romance them and it gives them a lot of depth
True, I think Larian was going for a half-eldritch mutant look, but they hit a long-term terminal disease look instead. And it also looks like a poorly done goth makeup, depending on how nitpicky you are.

"Yes. I've longed for a tender touch. 🥹" "As have I. 🥺" That last line from Laezel is delivered so beautifully, and really shows her softer side. This makes me want to run a shadowheart origin just to romance Lae'zel
Makes me want to go for two origin runs, one as Karlach wooing Shadowheart, and another as Shadowheart going from deadly enemies with Lae'zel to this deep, almost poetic and bounless love.
These are such wonderful moments. I am glad that in my first playthrough I chose a Lae’zel romance, even though I hadn’t planned for it. It just felt right, and it continues to feel right (though I’m trying a different path in my second playthrough now). The only part I missed is that after 0:43 "it took more courage to ask for a soft touch" this soft touch did not get realized in a cutscene. Or did I just miss a chance for that somewhere?
"Heat" and "warmth" sound like pretty sapphic euphemisms. While an argument can be made that she enjoys hetero sex based on what she says about being glad to avoid the pregnancy risk, between the line shown in this clip and her dream vision being a Gith woman's face contorted in pleasure...probably can assume she swings both ways at the very least.

BG 3 feels weird as a sequel because the story of the series felt entirely complete by the end of BG2 and Throne of Bhaal just felt almost redundant. Like, I actually didn't finish because I predicted the major plot twist and just got annoyed. I haven't gotten to play BG3 yet but as awesome as it seems to be it feels like no matter what it's going to feel weird seeing Minsc and Jaheira reminisce about some stranger named Abdel Adrian. I romanced Aerie anyway.
Honestly love both characters even though I've hardly played the game just cause I'm nervous with dying lol (Last night mr vampire boy got him and shadowheart killed in my billionth play start lmao)

every character swings every way, because they're romance-able no matter what gender/sex your tav is. but i do agree that heat/warmth are VERY gay
