I discovered Spirit when I was 16, now I'm 52 and still listening to them. One of the most underrated and ahead of their times bands ever. They were awesome. Their music is still contemporary. ❤️
Caught the "Night of the Guitars" Tour, and Randy was the Leading Light, such a nice Guy to talk with too, he invited my friends and I to hang out with him and Robbie Krieger...I'll always remember that. He's the only player I can listen to play "Hey Joe" any time, cos he renders it so beautifully. R.I.P RANDY CALIFORNIA and ED CASSIDY.✌💜🎆🎼🎵🎶🎸🎶🥁🎶🎵🎙🎵🎶🕉
They were such a great band...so underrated . But they never lost sight of being great to their fans. RIP ED & Randy. So ironic many of Randy's videos involved the ocean...that would call him home so sad. But the legacy of saving his son lives on.
I saw Spirit in 1968 this band is one of the most underrated rock bands in American Rock and Roll history. They blew the Kinks and Dion out of the house. Randy California and Ed Cassidy plus Jay Ferguson, Mark Andes and the keyboard player who went onto Heart put on a show to remember.
I always judge a person's music by how much they love Spirit. Early Spirit was inspired musical genius. I will watch all of this video. Thanks for this essential piece of musical history.
