Saw's Soul Kitchen: A New Southern Tradition

I've heard a lot about this little soul food joint in Avondale "Saw's Soul Kitchen" and I had to check it out and see if the hype was true! Then we got arrived around noon on Saturday the place was already filling fast, so we ordered quickly and grabbed a table outside. As I stood in line looking at the floor to ceiling wall menu written in chalk,three things jumped out at me:
The "Grits, Greens, & Pork"- This dish includes three soul food staples, all of which are done with perfection here!
"The Saw Burger"- Saw's Soul Kitchen calls this their classic cheeseburger but my friend there is nothing classic about this 1/2 lb skyscraper topped with white sauce.
The Wings- These are smoked and full of flavor making them a must try!
I learned today that the hype is true...it's hard to get a bad dish at Saw's Soul Kitchen!
