Hello friends!
I'm SO excited for today's WIP n Chat with a very special guest: my mom! She's been in town for a little while and I've been so happy to have her here (and we've kept super busy with lots of projects, which is why I've been a little slow to get back to comments and whatnot).

I've not been feeling well. I sleep when I'm sick. It's how your body heals faster and, better. I think and seeing how Dr.'s say I should be dead I have a point. Stubborn to end for real though!! 😜😲😜
It’s so nice to see the wonderful relationship you have with your mother. I’m always envious of that because I didn’t have a relationship with my mother. All she did was make me feel bad about myself. To change the subject, I was completely the opposite when it came to wearing pants. I loved wearing dresses and skirts and I hated pants. My very first pair of jeans was when I was in college. 😀😀😀

You poor hubby. Covid shots killed me, too. I cramped up my whole body. Felt like rigor mortis. I could barely get off the couch and had to soak in a hot tub for an hour before I could sleep.
Like your mom, I enjoy buying hobby accessories and kits, sometimes more than the craft. Diamond painting has been my obsession since 9/2020. But I also quilt, weave, knit, crochet, spin yarn , and do tapestries. And collect. Collecting is huge! I am currently diamond painting a notebook and A smaller Craftibly canvas, Penelope MunchkinZ.
So glad you got to spend time with your mom. Childhood stories were great. Love the WIP. Enjoy the rest of your time with mom and let us know how your son’s 1st day back was, for both of you. Lol. 🐕🦺
Thanks for the Wip n Chat! I loved your stash video and I totally loved your dragon comments. I told my hubs that I’m actually a dragon and my diamond paintings are just my gold, so no judgement, just respect the dragon I am. 🤣. Oh goodness we took my little James to the park yesterday and he wanted to go play with the other kids but didn’t know how to. Poor kiddos don’t even know what to do around each other now that they’ve been inside for over a year. It was fun to have your mom join you 😊🐕

My parents did not let us wear jeans unless it was on the weekend. We also had to dress up to fly on a plane. lol.

Man glad my parents weren't like yours!!! I can just about count how many times I've worn a dress on both hands. I don't like them at all. Nylons make me itch. No I'm very much of a pants person. 😜🤣😜

Thanks for having your mom come on! Counting the days till I get to see my parents. Hope Adam is feeling better.. everyone reacts different. Bryant and I were just tired from ours. He had maderna and I had Pfizer. It’s totally worth it! 🐶

I totally relate to Lisa Frank everything and Trapper Keepers! I NEED to know if that was Lite Brite paper because I bought a Lite Brite again awhile back but couldn’t find any of the patterned paper for it!! I love that little tray so much and want one so badly but I can never keep track of when they go up and do I realllllly need more trays? (Don’t answer that, enabler.)
The answer is always yes - more things!
I enjoyed your mother joining you on your WIP & Chat. She seems quite lovely. I appreciate her profession because my son was in the NICU for 6 days. It was quite comforting knowing he was being well taken care of after I was discharged from the hospital.
My parents, grandmother and I took my son to the zoo last week. I thought he would be interested in the animals, but instead he was fascinated by the kids. He could not take his eyes off them. In a few days, we are going to visit my sister-in-law and her 5 year old son. This will be his first interaction with another child. Her son can be quite jealous of other children getting his mother's attention. Keeping my fingers crossed everything goes well.
I too could not resist HAED's sale. I bought 3 charts. One, I think I might do for Lindsay's event next year. I think I might be a little crazy because I haven't even started on my blank canvas yet. I am still waiting for my drills from Cooper Diamond Art.
I had to take my son to the dentist recently and it was terrible. I certainly could relate to how your parents felt when they were carrying you out of the amusement partk.
My husband and I both had our second shots on Thursday. So far we've not had any side effects. Hope your husband is feeling better now.
I am working on Blossom Buddies. I had forgotten how much in love I was with this image when I first saw it. I feel like it is the perfect time to be working on it. I am really enjoying it. It is feeling me up with a sense of joy and hope.🐶

🐶 loved this video, you two are cute together. I’m a Midwest girl myself and am blessed to live 10 minutes from my parents. My boys are close to them, it would be hard being so far apart. Enjoy your time and I hope Conner is doing well with in person school again.

Ok. I began dp in nov 2019. Cross stitching in may 2020. Yep. Pattern keeper is a must have and not available on Apple store. I even bought a samsung Galaxy Tab to be able to use it. I have 3 full coverages a few partials and a Temperature SaL. And you can now scan patterns And use it on pattern keeper instead of highlighting it!

Oh my gosh I HATED shopping as a kid too! I have grown to love shopping as an adult, even if it's very eccentric style [snake print everything]. Never heard of Trapper Keepers, but I will definitely be checking out those shops!

I usually only have one project going at a time. However, right now I have 4 projects going. 2 really big ones and 2 little ones. I’m trying to get Christmas presents done.

@@DiamondsandWashi I get my 'me' time at night, too. The house is quiet, the world is quiet and I can do what I want without being interrupted.
I'm usually up all night (it's 3am) and go to bed sometime after the sun comes up. I'll wake up between noon and 4pm

I love you videos ❤️. I just have a question, why are so many people getting such severe side affects from this vaccine? Like I know you can get little side affects from vaccines, but from all the vaccines I had gotten growing up I never had gotten sick from any of them... That's also why I'm very nervous to get this one... Idk, I'm gonna get it eventually...but I think I'll wait till more people get there's ..
My Joesaphine wall has just arrived,lve done big paintings but this one oh my god what have l done.lam going to check it in a minute once checked can it go back in the box or do l have to hang up. Once l start l will hang it up until l finish when that will be l don't know sue
Hi Sue! Deep breaths, you can do it!! I would definitely suggest hanging it up, flat, rather than rolling it back in the box. Double-sided adhesive is so finicky, and I found that when I rolled my canvas back up, it caused more rivers and bubbles.
