- Vanlife continues in Cornwall as Miss Nancy the greyhound and I continue exploring the Lizard in our campervan. We find some breathtaking scenery, I can’t believe we are still in England!

Kynance Cove is amazing isn't it 🙏🏖️... best enjoyed when the crowds have gone 👌. We are so lucky to live here and take advantage of the sunny or just stormy days 😁. My Merlin snaps at anything buzzing 😜and has been stung a couple of times... I'm surprised it's not more 🤪. They seem to get over it fairly quickly though don't they.. not like us 🥴. Out of season.. I'm sure a sneaky stay over night wouldn't hurt.. but I know what you mean 👀😉. Enjoy your travels both of you 🤗💖🐾😘
I was amazed by it, the rock formations, the pools, and in the sunshine stunning. Then it got really busy 😂 I’ll definitely go back in winter some quiet morning!
Ha yes they don’t seem to learn, Nancy was upset for a few hrs after she got stung but then she went back to trying to eat them 🫣 sweet, foolish creature! 💕😭
Yeah it’s hard to see how something can be wrong if you leave no trace and aren’t in anyone’s way, I don’t know how I ended up being such a rule obeyer it’s terrible! 😱☀️

I was there 27 years ago and met a very interesting old lady who was born in the old house, she had lived there all her life. What a wonderful place.

Does Nancy bark at any noises outside the van?
My Alfie barks everytime there is a knock on the front door or even when it's my daughter coming home from school everyday at the same time. Don't know how to stop him doing that.
I'd expect if we were in a van he'd be barking all the time at outside noises which could be an issue.
@stu7575 well it kind of depends. She’s not a barker like that though. It could make for some noisy times 😂 I don’t understand barking as much as other things because Nancy doesn’t do it! Is he just excited to see her?
@missnancysdayoff He's always excited to see her yeah.
He's not a big barker in general, he's normally quiet and chilled, just if he thinks there is someone at the door or outside he does. Maybe he thinks he is protecting his family.
Although that is another trick I taught him, if I say "Go protect (daughters name)" and he stops whatever he is doing and goes to find her. 🥰
And I am amazed he is not bothered by the fireworks one bit either, which is surprising as most dogs are scared of them. We walked to the shop earlier and there was loads of loud fireworks going off, he didn't bat an eyelid about it, he was the same last year as well.
@stu7575 he sounds like a good guard dog 😊 that’s so sweet he go to find your daughter he sounds really clever! Miss Nancy would not do that 😂
Great about the fireworks as well, maybe he heard them when he was just a puppy and got used to it. Makes it a lot easier for you as well it can be so hard to handle, I haven’t heard any so far this year thankfully 😖

The best beaches in Cornwall are around Newquay - Fistral, Watergate Bay, Perranporth, and my personal favourite, Crantock Beach (because of the sand dunes). The northern coast of Cornwall is famous for it's Atlantic waves and surfing. Plus the beaches are miles long and beautiful soft sand. Can't be beaten on a hot or a stormy day! Kynance Cove is ok though...
I’ve not been to the north coast yet! I love sand dunes so we will have to check that one out it all sound amazing. I thought the rock formations and the pools left when the sea went out were stunning at Kynance, amazing coast all round 😍

I've found a replacement for you now, she's called 'Wandering A...' and she's got flaming red hair so there you go, quite literally ho ho ho.(That damned compulsion to make thing rhyme gets me every time.) You should put a sun hat on that dog and make it wear 2 pairs of bootees when you take it out. Very catty I know but then I really like cats.

Like I say I'm drawn to you like a moth eaten old moth to a flame. My bddy might be worn out from too much toil and trouble but my brain's still remarkably agile for my age. This is the first care home I've ever styed in, I'm in my 7th month here now and it's been a fairly rough ride so far; things might just be leveling out for me now I hope. I don't want to live on my own again and trying to find somewhere to live down here at an affordable rent isn't easy; that's why I mooted the awfully audacious proposal of a house share. We're both artistic people and if you don't ask you don't get a KB .I'm bored out of my skull most of the time here, it's only the internet that keeps me sane. I find it hard to judge what age you are but I'd like to know; are you 1 year older than your very nice white teeth? I'm sure you'd make mincemeat out of a 'partner' of your own age whereas I'm a wily old fox and I'm used to handling touchy situations. You must be used to being propositioned by men now unless you bat for the other side? I don't know about you but I've got a lot of 'love' to give that might just stretch to dog as well to end my lonely hell. MYA@@missnancysdayoff

Thank you 😊 Absolutely not, I don’t think I could get by anymore without spending a lot of time outdoors in countryside. Sussex is beautiful, I am originally from Hampshire which is also lovely! Cornwall definitely worth some videos take a trip!

I enjoy a warm / hot shower and still have a vegan hot chocolate made with cacao and water (or plant based milk) waiting if needed. It also helps with a wild swimming dip etc. - maybe you'll get to share the experience at some point? I'm going off radar for a wee while to level out and support my friends and family etc. Therefore, if you want to keep me up to date with potential spots for a couple of night maybe I'll hear from you via snail mail?
