  • This tutorial is designed to show you one way to help minimize the appearance of jogs in stripes at the join when knitting in the round. I hope you find it helpful in your own knitting projects, my friends!

I’m a new beginner, knitting these basic beanies. What if I didn’t want to cut the yarn after each color change? I’m currently working on a 2 color hat like this tutorial with 3 rounds in each color & really didn’t want to cut the yarn because I’m very new to this technique & just in case I mess up! Tia

Hey there! I would not recommend carrying up your yarn more than a round or two, especially with super bulky, or you’ll likely end up with holes in your work/not a nice transition between colors. 😊

Yes I’ve tried twisting the Yarn colors to carry up & I didn’t like the slip stitch purl wise method of changing colors either. Frogged my work to the beginning color block & going to attempt your method! Thanks

Could you slip the jogless join, couldn't you slip the stitch to the other needle, replace the marker in its original spot?
