- First Steps is a VR experience designed to be the entry way to the Oculus Quest. Its pretty much an introduction to what the Virtual Reality Headset and the Touch Controllers are capable of.
The tutorial of First Steps will show you the magic of presence in VR and lets you explore moments that feel as real as they are fantastically impossible. Its definitely inspired by First Contact, Toybox and The Lab from Valve.

I’ve always found vr to be quite interesting and the concept of a entire universe inside a wireless vr on your head always fascinated me
For me the fact you can escape from the real world or like living in a cartoon

That wild spinning in the dance game really illustrates how awesome it is to have no wires. I've only tried VR once in my life and I was already getting annoyed with the cable constantly.

I am a professional nurse. I saw this demonstration and can see how this can transform nursing education. Now students can do Hands-On as many times as necessary and become experts before they ever touch a patient. This stuff is mind-blowing. I'm waiting my mine

Got the quest today, and BOY AM I IMPRESSED. coming from a guy who started out with cardboard and moved to gear vr, I can only imagine what the vive or rift is like..

I remember visiting a friend for the last time (they were moving to another country) and playing their Oculus Quest. I only played the gun minigame but it was really fun. I was amazed by the experience of the first Oculus Quest. Can't wait to get my hands on one.

I’m getting my Oculus Quest tomorrow, & as stupid as this sounds because of my anxiety I got scared about what might happen when I first loaded up the VR headset, so I watched this video & it helped calm me down! now I know what will happen so I feel better 😅

Some great demos!!! Giving me so many ideas for full on games! Imagine a game where you had a bunch of those stretchy guns where you can aim behind corners and change the scope or type of gun by just stretching it out. Or like you said with the VR toy box but for a sandbox experience. Or ofc have awesome dance battles with people online!! Ugh. Really hope they flesh these out

I showed this to my parents. They were overhelmed by it, and didn't even know how to hold the controllers & were stuck in the tutorial. It may seem easy for people who are used to video games & computers, but for old people who are not, this is difficult..
This is the first stand alone VR headset I've considered and honestly I just wish it had a different design. One that I've thought of and never seen any testing of it.

Enjoyed the vid dude. I really hope the experience is as cool as it looks. I preordered mine Friday and watched over 20 different videos and it looks way better than the Samsung Gear VR, Google Daydream, and Oculus Go which I have all of those. This one makes have goosebumps for the pure excitement that its gonna be so much better. I also have PSVR but I really dont like that wire. Feel like I'm gonna break it.

I think for me, vr feel how the Internet did back in the wild frontier days. Before governments started sticking their noses into it, and messing about with it. Before business corporations and the greed, when it was just full of new and interesting things to explore. Everything was a delight to the senses, and there was freedom for the imagination.
