Sprinter Cabinets With Stealth Toilet, Sink, and Fridge!
Вставка
- Опубліковано 12 чер 2019
- This Sprinter came to me already looking beautiful inside and out, what could you not like about this van! Awesome gray color scheme, beautiful coated pine wood inside and great seating and folding bed arrangement in the back. But it was missing proper cabinets to store everything and make up some great counter space! This is the design the customer and I ended up deciding on would work best for there needs. Enjoy the video and please SUBSCRIBE to see more awesome builds and how to's.

ABOUT ME I grew up in a cabinet shop and was a born to be woodworker. In the past few years when work slowed in the custom cabinet industry I converted a few friends Vans and SUV's so they had more storage for adventuring, work, or just the weekend beach getaway. Before I knew it I had my own business making people's ideas come to life. I design and build all kinds of custom wood work and vehicles here at my shop in Huntington Beach, California! Please email me solidwoodworx@gmail.com for more information.
Great Work…
Another Stellar build.
Nice build as always Brian
Top class, I am hooked.
the canvas overhead cabinet bags are a brilliant idea
True. But they cost $400.00 each from Adventure Vans.
I think it would have been a good idea to include some venting for the refrigerator.
Nice I like the way it's set up
You do a wonderful job! Shana's comment is true "Van Tour" would bring even more views my friend. Great work.
Very neat, great use of space. I like the hidden shore power hook up and the internal water fill up too. That sink drain is just what I'm looking for - thanks for the link.
Lean, mean and clean. Awesome
Neat.
Now that's solid......and it looks like it really worx ! Can be left looking great as is...or....finished to your taste. What more could you want ? Nice job. Happy travels everyone. John
You make magic with wood.
Again, super impressed with your design and cabinetry work man. Looks great!
Excellent functionality & beautifully crafted!!!
Absolutely brilliant. Well. Done.

Good job as usual bro !
you guys do nice work !! i dont know how i feel about the mr.hankey bank next to the fridge, easy in-easy out i guess.
Just how the customer wanted it
Omgggg I know that van! She’s a subscriber of ours too and I met her at a San Diego van meet up! (Before all your awesome remodels tho) it looks amazing, great job dude! Love that modified vent for the toilet. I was wondering why it was going at the wall from the inside. Would be interesting to see how you pulled that off. Lots of people have the natures head in Vanlife. That’s actually how we met the owner of this van... questions about the natures head!
thanks
Great video. Love the cabinets and hidden shore power. If I was out west I'd have you do my van conversion!I've been looking for couch/beds like that.
Thomas O'Brien - Thomas, hopefully somebody put you onto RB components website. Those couches, sofa, hanging canvas bags are all carried by them.
@@nmartin5551 yeah I reached out to them. But I have a Chevy express conversion and they don't do them
Thomas O'Brien I ordered the sofa bed Hardware set from them. I figure I can make it fit my van if I’m doing the build. I also decided that any zippered square duffle bag could be rendered similar to their bag shelves with some thin panel wood. Not perfect but close enough and way cheaper.
Awesome!
you do nice work....thank you.....c
Are those drawer slides you used for the toilet only rated for 100 lbs? I'm looking to do something similar for our toilet and curious how those are holding up.
They were 250lb rated
@@SolidWoodWorx thank you!
Where can we find those canvas bags?
Should be link in video description
Very cool. Can I ask what something like that costs? Also, I have a sprinter passenger van and we find that in the summer the back gets so hot even with the fan on unless we turn on the ac. Do you have a recommendation for a vent or inexpensive window replacements?
Any chance of finding out more about where couch/bed can be found? Appreciate your work.
Rb componnents makes it
@@SolidWoodWorx just checked out the site... awesome. Thanks
Can you explain how you vented the toilet with that tube below the van? I'm doing similar install to our van and it would be nice to not put a hole in the side of the van. Thanks, great job!
Yss the customer did it, just a simple hose into the gap in the van wall and out down below the van drill a 1" hole the hose went out of. The toilet has a built in fan with a 12v plug, it takes .2 ah very minimal! Any more questions email me solidwoodworx@gmail.com
Great job and kudos on all your replies to question. I have one. You use Slam Latches for the heavier drawers with the toilet and fridge.....what is securing the other drawers? Do the Drawer Guides have the push release mechanism built in and do they stay secured when cornering? Thanks. Looking forward to viewing all your videos.
Hello yes the other drawers had push release the customer wanted it that way. I have check up to see how there holding up
How fast could you build a cabinet like the toilet one for a 144 Sprinter, for a toilet , and how much?
Unfortunately, I’m not taking on custom work anymore. Sorry.
I am going to try to build something like this. It is not going to come out nearly as beautiful and well thought out. Dont let my wife see this!
You should put “Van Tour” in your titles. You’d get more views
Hey nice job on this. Mind if I ask how the toilet drawer tracks hold the weight if the drawer is suspended when pulled out? I see your tracks are rated for 100lb. I assume they'll handle it?
Those ones i used a higher capacity slide
Hey Brian, what mechanism did you use on the top left hand side drawer, in the cabinet housing the toilet, that allows you to push the drawers in to release them (pop them out)?
Link in the video description
where did you find those couches / bed?
Rbcomponents.com
What's the black handle by the sink for? You didn't go over it.
You mean the handle that shuts the sliding door?
Can you tell me the brand of the canvas bags? Thanks for sharing your videos.
adventurewagon.com makes the bags
Nice, but a little too filled up for me.
Appreciate you taking the time to produce such a great video! Van came out really nice! Do you have a link to the ski rack or the brand? Also, did you use L Track to attach the cabinets? Thanks!
I did not install the L track, and i have no idea who made those she got that done from a previous builder. Thanks
fridge in air tight box will be very inefficient and will have a very short life
Love the build out. Just curious where were the over head storage bags from?
I think a company called adventurewagon.com sells em
Oh fab Thankyou so much. I’m planning a build for three adults 2 dogs and two cats. Huge task and not sure we won’t kill each other but my dads very sick and he wants to travel up the east coast of Australia. Hopefully I can make it happen. :)
Where in australia are you
A small country town in Victoria called Red Cliffs :)
Okay nice i havent been out to that part of victoria yet!
What are the sizes of those folding beds? Great work btw 👍🏻👍🏻
Idk there made by Rb Components
Where did you get the canvas bags?
Link in video description
Not sure I want my toilet right next to my dishes and food storage.
Do you have a link for her hanging bags?
Also the couches that she used that fold into a bed.
I think a company called adventurewagon.com sells bags. Rbcomponents.com makes couches
Solid Wood Worx thank you can not believe those cost 400 dollars, could buy a custom cabinet for less then that.
Van stuff is getting crazy in price nowadays
what kind of plywood do you use?
Mostly pine and birch 7 ply!
Is that an internal surfboard rack on the right hand side wall of the van?
They use it for skis but ya essentially
Where is your shop located?
Huntington Beach, California
