So many lecture and discussions of this subject are so biased as to be worthless for the purposes of understanding, as opposed to demand mixing one side or the other of be subject, thanks for a more transparent and balanced approach
I found the truth using logic and reason alone. Read the Scriptures to know what is in them and then commit yourself to seeking the truth, to seeking God, and to seeking the Way. Be open to truth often means to stop listening to Man's Doctrines. Rome has confused us all with Man's Doctrines that does take a lot of effort to break away from all the confusion.
Christians today are confused by the Roman Church. If Arius is correct, then that would mean most Christians are actually worshipping a false god. That is very concerning to me. I have noticed also, that although churches claims the trinity doctrine, not a single one is able to teach what that means. And for that reason, not one Christian is able to provide any reason why they believe in the trinity other than that it is what their church tells them to do. And from what I have read in the OT, it is a very dangerous thing to worship false gods. So I am highly concerned about Christians today and just how do we reach them. I tell people I meet that there is no requirements for salvation that one must believe Jesus is God. And that God is not the author of confusion. They still refuse to consider their consequences of possibly worshipping a false god.
I think that the key point in this video is when Mary Cunningham states that the Council of Nicea represented a totally new milestone in the history of Christianity - the imposition or enforcement of a universal creed or statement of belief, backed by the power of the Roman state. Constantine locked all the bishops up in a room, in a kind of pressure cooker situation, and did everything he could to bring the bishops to an agreement, by any means possible, instead of allowing the doctrinal controversy aroused by Arius to work itself out naturally over the course of time - which, I believe, would have been much better. The dark legacy of the Council of Nicea, and the tendency within Christianity that it seems to have begotten, is a tendency towards doctrinal dogmatism, as well as the doctrinal bullying of those who are of a different persuasion. Religion and politics got into bed with one another at the Council of Nicea, to the great detriment of both.
As History played out, Arianism became a hige threat to orthodox Chritianity over the next century. The migrations of the Visigoths, Ostrogoths, Vandals and Lombards swept Arianism into the Western Mediterranean. The creed, girded the faith of the Catholics in Spain, Italy and Gaul and supported militarily by the Byzantines in the East and the Franks in the West preserved the Roman church during it's most critical period.
Arianism is predicated on the Neoplatonic view of what it means for God to be simple, not the Christian one. The beginning of this definition of simplicity being used within the Church is notably the fault of Origen, and it culminated in Arius and his followers. If you want the authentic, Christian view of what God's simplicity is, look to St. Basil (specifically in letter 234).
Why should I look to St. Basil when I should look into the Bible as basis if the notion of Arius about Jesus and God is true or not because it is biblical or unbiblical. I believe in the claim of Arius that Jesus has a beginning and so he is not co-eternal with the Father. The Father begot the Son so one of them precede the other. they do not simultaneously exist but one existed first before the other.
Very good job explaining Arius' thoughts on Jesus, the fact that all bishops did not vote on the Creed, and that the African priest had a large following. Just as the Ashkenazim hold the Talmud higher than the Torah, these early Christians began to hold Creeds higher than scripture. They were becoming Pharisees.
It seems that these people love Arius more than the historical truth, and this only and just because their personal preferences in theology are similar to Arius'. And on the other hand, it seems that a general trend is actual nowadays in scholarly research: "Lets just simply turn the history upside down, and analyse and narrate everything contrary than it was narrated until now".
It is not surprising at all. Don't forget that the trinitarians won out. It did not take long for the Arians to be persecuted as a heresy. The documents were all destroyed.
@@zenodotusofathens2122It seems that Arius views were almost in line with Prophet Muhammed words about Jesus. This probably explains why northern African regions joined Islam quickly because they were more like Arians.
Would you say that Jehovah's Witnesses, Christadelphians and similar sects [which identify as Christian but do not accept the Trinity] are modern-day Arians?
Personally, I would say they are like modern-day Arians... Although Jehovah Witness also believe Jesus is the Archangel Michael 🤷🏽♂️. But both groups reject the Trinity
Just because they have one similarity with Arianism doesn't mean they are Arian. The "sects" you mentioned also have similar beliefs with other evangelical protestant sects in other areas (i.e. creation, marriage, resurrection, etc), but that doesn't't mean they are the same.
Is there chance for Christianity to distance itself from the trinity and have just one god? That would put us in better alignment with Judaism perhaps.
Essentially that is what Arius did. And it would have worked had it not been for the pagan Trinity power lords. Arius gave glory to the Lamb, but utmost glory to "Him that sitteth on the throne", "Him that liveth for ever and ever", as seen in Revelation 5:12-14.
I have recently discovered that Jesus isn't God but my family would never understand if I tried to tell them. That is one problem I have. Also, there are literally no churches around that agree with this. And churches that may be close will still practice the Roman rituals and practices of the Pagans and not to follow Scripture only and how the 1st century Christians put their faith into work. It all makes me wonder if there is any hope at all for people today. The only think I can think of is to try and teach people truths bit by bit. And see if any will bite and respond and desire to know the way of God. IDK. It is frustrating as people in the west, at least, are so programmed to only listen to some man with a degree that you can present the truth to them in a logical manner and yet they still resist.
I think a certain Nasara, Waraqa bin Naufal follow Arius' line of thinking concerning about Almighty God, that He is one, eternal, absolute, doesn't beget and not begotten.
Arius was a heretic condemed by the church fathers . Mohamed ( 54 years old )was a false prophet that indullge in sexual intercourse with a little 9 years old (Aisha ) ,

I believe Arius and most Christians around the Mediterranean were attacked and wiped out due to a straw-man heresy around the Trinity at the council of Nicaea. Most early Christians kept the sabbath on Saturday but Constantine, being a Mithraist, wanted to push pagan festivals, rituals and Sunday worship onto the early Christian movement… if he had attacked the sabbath issue directly he would have lost so the final solution was to find an alternate but relatively abstract division which could then be massively exaggerated to the demise of early sabbath worshippers
The Firstborn is superior to the Angels of God. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. 4So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. The Son Superior to Angels Its clear to me the Son who was, His spirit, was in the tent of the body God prepared for Him. "Father into your hands I commit my spirit" About the Son who was You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy. The fullness was pleased to dwell IN Him. Therefore in that unity with the Fathers fullness Jesus is the exact representation of the wisdom and power of the Father and in that context is God. As Gods firstborn (before all things) Jesus has always been the Son. Not God Jesus's beginning was at some point in history before the world began but He has no end. And the Father is in Him and He in the Father. In that manner they are one. I think Arius was luke warm in regard to Jesus. Those who listen and learn from the Father go to the Son. The son is worthy of honor and power and glory forever as is written in Revelation. The creation, (genesis) was made through Jesus and nothing was set in place in heaven without Him. Jesus is the appointed Judge of the living and the dead. Appointed by the Fathers authority Jesus is how the Father chose to forgive sin and God has made Jesus both Lord and Christ and a light to the nations. No one enters the kingdom of God apart from Jesus who is our judge. Those who feed off Him though they were to die yet shall they live. Those who believe in Him will never die.
People and ideologies should be defined the way they really are and proper names should be given to them otherwise people will introduce in the religion things that are not from it , like when people said that Jesus is the son of god when they meant he was an advocate to God then others took it in a literal way.
Sons of God are priests and Pharisees. Jesus was the only begotten son, because he didn't use his ministry to snatch up virgins and cooch. Remember the Sons of God in Genesis, they took the daughters of man as wives.
How Constantine viewed all of St Mark's flock: A conquered people who were dediticii did not individually lose their freedom, but the political existence of their community was dissolved as the result of a deditio, an unconditional surrender. In effect, their polity or civitas ceased to exist. Their territory became the property of Rome, public land on which they then lived as tenants. Sometimes, this loss was a temporary measure, almost a trial period to see whether the peace held, while the people were being incorporated into Roman governance; territorial rights for the people or property rights for individuals might then be restored by a decree of the senate, senatus consultum, once relations were perceived as having stabilized. In the Imperial era, there were three categories of people who held dediticius status defined as freedom without rights: the peregrini dediticii ("foreigners under treaty") who had surrendered; peregrini who had immigrated into the empire; and former slaves who were designated libertini qui dediticiorum numero sunt, freedmen who were counted as dediticii because of a penal status that denied them the citizenship usually bestowed with manumission. /t
JW's think that Jesus is the arch angel Michael. Unitarians believe Jesus began in the womb of Mary. Both, to me, have greater error than a Jesus who was begotten before all worlds but not made. Jesus is Gods Firstborn and the Son who was in Hebrews and John is the radiance of Gods glory and the exact representation of Gods being, (not in the class of angels), but a Son in whom all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell. A Son who has no end and is called God. A Son who is far superior to Gods angels but still a Son. Jesus is the image of the invisible God and He is the Firstborn who is before all things whether beings or created things. It is clear when it states God created through the Son it doesn't mean Jesus Himself. That is the Father formed Jesus's spirit and everything else was created through Jesus and in Jesus all things are held together. So this question, "Is Jesus God" has a yes and no answer depending on context. He never dies. Yes, He is all that the Father is. (The fullness was pleased to dwell in Him) No, He has always been the Son.(Firstborn - a beginning at some point in history before the world began - but has no end) So the trinity is far from a deception. It is clear the Father Himself is the one who glorifies Jesus. And those that listen and learn from the Father go to the Son. "They shall all be taught by God" The work of God is to believe in the One He sent. The living bread that came down from Heaven. Those that eat that bread will live forever.
@@randyw.8781 if Jesus is the firstborn of all creation it plainly means he was created he did not always existed Almighty God created him directly as his spiritual son in heaven and thru him every thing else was created they are two separate beings. His prehuman existence shows that he was with God when created all things even man " let us make man in our image" Jesus is God's gift to humankind to redeem us from sin and dead he died for us and God resurrected him.. God never dies. People that believe in the trinity, worship a very incomprehensible god, a false god. True Christians worship the Father and God of Jesus who's name is Jehovah (english)or Yahweh(hebrew ) YHVH (Tetragrammaton)
What she said of the position of Yeshua Jesus is exactly correct ..beyond man but below God Almighty ... As all men have the possibility of Being ... Man is always in a place of balancing being .
Arianism was far more right, than others. So, according to Arius, there is God, his son Jesus, who is not all eternal, but have many signs of the divinity of the God, in a sense, a demi God. Many traces of this dogma is to be found in the gospels and the lost books.
I read some of y'alls posts the point is whether he was a heretic, he was only stating that it wasn't right to use serapis idol to use for Jesus. Period!! To this day they still use Serapis idol for Jesus. Do your research!!
Thank you! Personally, I also believe that Arius has been unduly maligned, which makes me somewhat resentful when I see someone tagged as an Arian - most every time bearing with it a stigma of being some sort of heretic! I am inclined to suspect that it's more likely that the persecutOR is in the wrong than the persecutEE. To go to the extent of burning all his written work, even threatening the death penalty for being caught with his writings, smacks very loudly of the WRONG spirit. Nothing about that bears any resemblance to the teachings and example of Jesus, whose name is thereby being taken in vain by thugs with swords. Many of the arguments I have read on this issue center far too heavily upon semantics! What EXACTLY does it mean to be a "trinitarian," or an "Arian," or even a "semi-Arian?" At what point does the Biblical term "ONLY BEGOTTEN" have to be twisted around into a pretzel? Jesus made NO BONES about being the SON, or of His own subservience to His FATHER! Paul explains very clearly that Jesus' Godhood came by INHERITANCE. When and how and other minute details are left blank ON PURPOSE, and it is not only unnecessary for any of us to try to fill in with our clever conjecture - it's downright DANGEROUS to speculate. It SHOULD be adequate for ANY Bible scholar to stick with "it is written...." That was Jesus' method, and it behooves us to follow His example rather than trying to elevate our opinions above The Word.
Your usually on the wrong side when you side with the masses. Using precedent from the Bible on religious doctrinal debate...this is always the case. The masses always went toward false doctrine. The lonely Prophet that dared to speak truth was always killed or dismissed.
It also must be noted, and a little known fact of the First Council of Nicaea in 325 AD that it had been decided that Die Hard was, in fact, a Christmas movie.
its quite surprising that in a discussion of the council of nicea, there is little discussion of another jesus figure who predated jesus called SERAPIS CHRISTUS... seems quite convenient to leave those facts out... never mind the subsequent death and destruction that followed those who went against the canon or creed of Nicea... why leave those bits of information out... unless like Arius, the object is to present only what one wants taken forward and erasing other versions of percieved truth.
If arius was a follower of true belief, then you and all Muslims today are completely wrong.... Did you ever read what arius claimed, according to him Jesus Christ has existed before creation of universe, earth, before Adam and Eve,,, yet Arius said that all things where created from Jesus, so he was the first of all creatures (according to arius).... So man you are terribly wrong :/
Aries had a deep inner conviction of something being wrong. He should have asked the Jewish people at the time and then he would have found a better place than trying to fit in with the Church.
"In the beginning, the Word was with God, and the Word was God." The first letter of Genesis is "Bet". But the first letter in the Hebrew Alphabet is "Alef". Alef is like a pause or an inbreath, and not a distinct sound as the other letters. All of this appears to support Arianism; or the view which eventually became identified with Arius, although he did not originate it in the least. Was there a time when Christ was not; a place where The Father dwelt alone? Truly, The Son is time and space itself: His Spirit is the drama, and its gist, - while GOD is "beyond nothingness". ~ Osprey Arius
I've never heard it put that way. But it makes sense in a poetic way. Time and space were not needed while the Father was alone, if God exists outside of time and space. And His Son's story is history. History didn't begin until Christ made our world. But is that accurate? The Bible doesn't say. Or, before He brought forth His only begotten Son, did God spend the eons, decorating His home, the universe? Like a mother does for her first child, or like a man does for his betrothed bride? The scriptures say that Christ created all things from the beginning. But evidence indicates that that may have meant everything in relation to earth and our solar system.
I would add that if Jesus is not God, he cannot change the law of the Father by his sacrifice, in a philosophical view point we can understand why Marcion became dualist from unitarian Jew that was the first Christian... Arius 200 years later was the ambassador of the divised unitarian about the question of "Who is Jesus?"(Mickael-Super Prophet-Super Angel-little God Etc), Binitarism and Trinitarism cannot have existed in the time of Marcion and Arius must have been influenced by the Jew with "creatio secunda" who make a new christology.
From What I understood the teaching of Arius and what he believes are somewhat similar to Islamic teachings both view Jesus peace be upon him as a messenger of God. It is unclear whether Arius remained steadfast in his beliefs throughout his life since his views were destroyed, I hope he did and be written as a Martyr. Those who say, “Allah is one in a Trinity,” have certainly fallen into disbelief. There is only One God. If they do not stop saying this, those who disbelieve among them will be afflicted with a painful punishment. Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:73 "The Messiah, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger. ˹Many˺ messengers had ˹come and˺ gone before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They both ate food.1 See how We make the signs clear to them, yet see how they are deluded from the truth! " Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:75
Just so that i understand, God is made of 3 entities: father son and spirit. which one of the three is god and the decider. what if the son wants something and spirit says no or vice versa? I have difficulty comprehending this.
Why are you spreading false information? The trinity is a pagan concept that was invented by the creator of Catholicism, Simon Magus, there is NO evidence for this filth inside the Scripture, what's more, let me help you out with the contrary: Deuteronomy 4:35 Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that YAHUAH he is God; there is none else beside him. Deuteronomy 6:4 שמע ישראל יהוה אלהינו יהוה אחד Hear o Israel, YAHUAH is our god and YAHUAH is One. Deuteronomy 32:12 YAHUAH alone led him, and no foreign god was with him. Deuteronomy 32:39 See now that I am He; there is no God besides Me. I bring death and I give life; I wound and I heal, and there is no one who can deliver from My hand. 1 Samuel 2:2 There is no one holy like YAHUAH. Indeed, there is no one besides You! And there is no rock like our God. 1 Kings 8:60 so that all the peoples of the earth may know that YAHUAH is God. There is no other! Psalm 100:3 Know that YAHUAH is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture. Isaiah 43:10 "You are My witnesses," declares YAHUAH, "and My servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe Me and understand that I am He. Before Me, no god was formed, and none will come after Me. Isaiah 44:6 Thus says YAHUAH, the King and Redeemer of Israel, YAHUAH of Hosts: "I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God but Me. Isaiah 44:8 Do not tremble or fear. Have I not told you and declared it long ago? You are My witnesses! Is there any God but Me? There is no other Rock; I know not one." Isaiah 45:5 I am YAHUAH, and there is no other; there is no God but Me. I will equip you for battle, though you have not known Me, Okay, question, does YAHUAH lie? No, for He says: Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? In verse 17 of Numbers 23 the God in question is identified as none other than YAHUAH/יהוה. Okay so if He does not lie, maybe He changed His mind and now all of a sudden He is no longer One but three? Nope, for it is written: 1 Samuel 15:29 And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent. Psalm 89:34 I will not violate My covenant or alter the utterance of My lips. Isaiah 31:2 Yet He too is wise and brings disaster; He does not call back His words. He will rise up against the house of the wicked and against the allies of evildoers. Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever." Jeremiah 4:28 Therefore the earth will mourn and the heavens above grow dark. I have spoken, I have planned, and I will not relent or turn back. Malachi 3:6 For I am YAHUAH , I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. So there is actually NO biblical support for believing in this pagan concept, hence why for the first 400 years it wasn't even made a staple, it was only adhered by some elite patricians of society and those of the liturgy that were occultists in secret like Origen, Eusebius and Alexander of Alexandria and I DARE ANYONE to prove me otherwise.
If Christians had followed Arius vision of God, then it would not probably be nessacary to send another prophet. Note the prophet of Islam was sent right after the noe ariusians were wiped out . Therefore when Islam came, the north African people and beyond had been ready to accept Islam without hesitation. Especially after the Vandals who had been arius followers, occupied the region and after the death of that Algerian priest who had been a nightmare for Arius followers , for he had invented many weird ways of torturing those Ariusians . God is one and He is the greatest.
Monotheism is the message of all prophets, Devil ( Shatan) is tempted humanity to deviate from the truth, Arius was believe on one god which is Jesus message. when humanity deviated from the truth God sent Prophet Mohammed to guide humanity to the truth , same message of Abraham, Moses, Jesus and all of previous prophets.
My view of Jesus in light of the question, "is Jesus God?" He never dies. (The body on the cross did die) He has no end. Yes, He is all that the Father is (The fullness was pleased to dwell in Him) No, He has always been the Son. (Gods Firstborn-a beginning at some point in history before the world began)
***** Well I can't argue Arianism as they call it is the Truth from Bible. I think Muhammad did some selfish things but he also had some noble intentions, because he did confirm a lot of our Bible which is of course commendable. The problem is, whilst Arianism may be more Islam-friendly in our beliefs about Jesus, we still believe Jesus is above the other prophets, Jesus is the King. And he is also "Gods Word" as Muhammad confirmed... that means Jesus is the means for creating everything else. So God first created Jesus, then through Jesus everything else. If Muhammad is just a messenger, or a prophet like the old prophets, Jesus is his King, every knee will bow to Jesus, and God made it this way. Later on Jesus relinquishes the throne and is made subject to God. But the reason we Arians cannot join Islam is because like I say, Muhammad did confirm a lot of Bible which we respect, but unfortunately he failed the test of prophethood. So that is why we do not accept him as a prophet, and certainly not dictating word for word the words of God in this Quran. If he claimed to be just a Christian who was trying to fix the message, and then made some mistakes in trying to do that we could agree with him. But because of the proofs against prophethood we cannot ever accept him.
It seems that Arius views were almost in line with Prophet Muhammed words about Jesus. This probably explains why northern African regions joined Islam quickly because they were more like Arians.
Strange how interesting documents and books about real Jesus teachings and faith are lost when all the lies and fabrications survived, Arius was on the right faith because he believed in one God and Jesus as a prophet was only a man just as all other prophets teached, but just for some influences from Egyptian and Roman polytheisms decided to create a new polytheism :Christianity , it was so simple to explain to Egyptians or Romans who were already used to worship men and sons and daughters of gods that Christianity is also a trinity and a family of gods affair, trinity and divinity of Jesus is the heresy not the beliefs and teachings of Arius.
Arianism is a nontrinitarian belief that asserts that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, created by God the Father, distinct from the Father and therefore subordinate to the Father. Arian teachings were first attributed to Arius(c. AD 250-336), a Christian presbyter inAlexandria, Egypt. The teachings are opposed to mainstream Christian teachings on the nature of the Trinityand on the nature of Christ. The Arianconcept of Christ is that the Son of God did not always exist, but was created by God the Father. This belief is based on an interpretation of a verse in the Gospel of John (14:28):[1] "You heard me say, 'I am going away, and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I." Trinitarianism was formally affirmed by the first two Ecumenical Councils. All mainstream branches of Christianity consider Arianism to be heterodox andheretical.[citation needed] The EcumenicalFirst Council of Nicaea of 325 deemed it to be a heresy. At the regional First Synod of Tyre in 335, Arius was exonerated.[2] After his death, he was again anathemised and pronounced a heretic again at the Ecumenical First Council of Constantinople of 381.[3] The Roman Emperors Constantius II (337-361) and Valens (364-378) were Arians orSemi-Arians.
Darius was from kemet...i,e,..Egypt. Egyptos was the ancient way of calling a person burnt skinned, or Dark black people. However, Arius was schooled as a scientist in kemet and knew the original Godhead to be Ausar, Auset, Heru. People today know Ausar, Auset and Heru as Osiris, ISIS, and Horus. Arius was against the invention of Jesus which is a concept, And not squared or Rooted in reality. Arius question posed to the emperor Constantine by Arius why are you trying to create a new divinity name Jesus when most people's of the ancient world already knows the Godhead story? Arius knew the attempt by Constantine to create jesus is the kemetic story of Heru...that is, Horus. It's really tragic that people all over the world have been cloned inside their imaginations and never known the truth about this matter. Besides, look at caucasians people calling themselves Arians not knowing that the name Arian came from a black man named Arius. Arius was banished because he was against the deception and this is the simple truth. People should know that millions of people both black and white and everything in between have been killed and murdered to force Christianity upon people over the ages, but when you don't know something you will believe and fall for anything.
@@ausaranuk8142 Yes the Egyptian Trinity (and many others) represented a fairly common godhead model; one that would have been front and center as an approach. Certainly it was not exceptional. And this shoe might fit many feet.
No Jew including his disciples or New Testament writers would have believed Jesus was God. Divine yes, Deity no. If the view that Jesus was God was ever even thought of, it would have been debated in the councils recorded in The Acts of the Apostles. The problem arises with subsequent generations of gentles viewing the Word through gentile pagan eyes. If you stay with the language of the Bible old or New Testaments you avoid these errors and arguments. Don’t add or extrapolate to the Word. Jesus did nothing to be the founder of a new religion with a Trinity at its core. He is the messiah of the Jews FIRST, and also of the gentles.
Just like Jesus, Arius believed in and understood the rehabilitation of fallen souls through re-incarnation. Even the disciples had some understanding of this element missing from Christianity today. The question they put to Jesus following the healing of the man born blind demonstrates this. Jesus could have condemned them for thinking such heretical thoughts but instead explained that in those circumstances the law of re-incarnation - any eye for an eye or tooth for tooth - did not apply as the man had been born blind in order that Jesus could demonstrate His powers or "in order to glorify the Son of Man".

Hundreds of other words and ideas also added such as mark16:9-20 john7:53 which do not appear in pre Nicene Koine Greek scripture s. Countless people burned alive as "heretics " by church (many now Saints.) Martin Luther and Erasmus both rejected 1john5:7-8 initially. I know nothing bout arius regarding on his understanding about GOD. But it seems we have the same view. My understanding about THE FATHER, and of HIS Son and Christ is without controversy, and based solely in the example of Christ Jesus, how He submitted to the WILL of His FATHER and GOD. Until I heard the trinity. In my opinion this doctrine is not from GOD for it bring confusion and division to the body of Christ. Sheep of Jesus knew His voice and follows Him. Now I can say the understanding of arius is indeed from GOD! If it is not?, then they don't have to do what they did to him. And what they did to him and to others in those times, who does not following their trinity doctrine, is in contrast to the teaching of Jesus that we should love one another, and should not hate our brethren, for it is consider as murder, but to correct them with love. Their father is the devil. he is a lier, stealer, and a murderer! Woe unto them for they also do what their father has done!
Roman empire and Athanasius came up with this doctrine. They came up with the concept of trinity and the force the people to accept it and they killed everyone went against them.
The bible says there is only one God John 17 v 3 1 Cor 8 v 6. Eph 4 v 6. 1 John 4 v 9 & 15 1 John 2 v 22 1 John 1 v 3 last part The bible does not teach 3 Gods ( trinity ) or god the son or God the holy ghost. Revelation teaches that if u add anything or take anything out of this book u will receive the 7 last plaques. I will have to c what Arius really believed.

You do know that what he taught is contrary to what you Muslims believe, right? He rightfully believed that the Word/Jesus existed before all of us existed and that we were created through Him by The Father, which in essence makes Jesus a divine being, though there are MANY divine beings and if you want I can give you the list of verses in the Hebrew Tenach that support this through and through, despite him being divine ( Jesus ) he was not and is not equal to the Eternal Living God, which we call The Father or as He is known by His personal name יהוה, יהוה Himself knows no equal, He has existed in time immemorial and has no beginning, everything else, including all the Host of Heaven ( all the other heavenly beings, including Jesus ) DO have a beginning and are NOT equal to יהוה for I repeat, He knows NO equal, hence why He has a name, that Name is used to differentiate Him from the rest and therefore that name implies that He is the eternal One, who has always existed and unlike everybody else knows no beginning, hence why He alone can have this name: יהוה.
His own Bishop disagreed with him! For three hundred years the Apostles practiced and taught the trinity now this guy has a problem with the "reasoning!!"

For me, the doctrine of Trinity is not logical and it's not biblical. But the catholic/orthodox creed says it is true, and those who don't believe will be condemned, so people have to believe and forget reason.
Hell no that is the reason why we are in the predicament today believing in lies!!!! Jesus was made up by white people as a form of control!!!!! That’s why Arius had to be silenced
It seems that Arius views were almost in line with Prophet Muhammed words about Jesus. This probably explains why northern African regions joined Islam quickly because they were more like Arians.
Jesus was just a created man. He was a prophet like Abraham, Moses and David. God is unique. No One can be compared with God. The simple truth Jesus believed and Arius followed him.
Jesus was not a prophet according to arius, you dont understand do you, if he knew mohammed and his teaching he would oppose it cause arius viewed jesus as a divine being that was above all and was eternal but begotten by God the father and he thought that made him less from God the father and he had scriptures to support his claim but he never viewed jesus as prophet. I dont think you know but according to the torah and the bible the whole point of the messaih or the anointed one coming is to end prophet hood and stop the cycle of prophets that is clear according to the old testament. And if mohammed took jesus as a messaih he could not be a prophet cause the point of the messiah is to end the cycle of prophets. There can not be a prophet after the messaih
The concept of God man was a Greek concept that seeped into Judaism because Judaism was in the middle of the Greek speaking cultural world. It is only natural that Greek paganism would seep into Judaism. That is what Jesus is all about. The man God is nowhere to be found in the Old Testament. In fact the Old Testament never speaks about the man God. The Messiah was never conceived to be a man God.
Wrong, the Old Testament does speak of Jesus and His crucifixion: PSALM 22 1. (To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David.) My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring? 2O. My God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent. 3. But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel. 4. Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. 5. They cried unto thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded. 6. But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people. 7. All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, 8. He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him. 9. But thou art he that took me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother's breasts. 10. I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother's belly. 11. Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help. 12. Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round. 13. They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion. 14. I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels. 15. My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death. 16. For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. 17. I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me. 18. They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture. 19. But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me. 20. Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog. 21. Save me from the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns. 22. I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee. 23. Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel. 24. For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried unto him, he heard. 25. My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him. 26. The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever. 27. All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. 28. For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations. 29. All they that be fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul. 30. A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation. 31. They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.
Do you know how many million preferred to die rather than accepting the trinity. Million of Christians followed Arious because he was following Jesus teaching, he was on right path. He rejected the paganism which Roman empire inserted in the Christianity through the criminal Athanasius, this man committed the worst sin in the human history by changing the message of Jesus peace be upon him.
All the prophecies used in the gospels were meant for Yahweh. "The voice of one crying..." From Malachi 3 and Isaiah 40 are about Yahweh. Many other like this even to small statements such as "My words shall never die" allude to the Old Testament attributes of Yahweh. In 1 Peter 1, Peter attribute the Spirit that spoke through the prophets as the "Spirit of Christ" even though this is known to be Yahweh's Spirit. Paul in Col 1 says that Christ is the Creator "before all things." Arius believing that the Son of God the Logos is an additional creation between the Father and the rest of creation is an obvious failure to see this. They are simply taking the concept of another person of the one Triune God and trying to make sense of it to declare His oneness. However, Arius fails miserably along with those who today believe similarly. Those today who parrot this, such as the JW, do so by forcing their doctrine by adding words like "other" to Colosians 1, making sure to say "the word was a god" and not "the Word was God" in John 1, and many more. Sure politics played a role, but that doesnt take away from dogma being defined based on the actual scripture and apostolic tradition.
This lady started right, then she veiled it by saying lies. Arius was calling that Allah is one and juses is just a man like us and choosen by Allah as a prophet. Of course his true preaching was not welcome by the church because they will lose power money and everything. It also contain the information that juses is not the last prophet. That a prophet by name of Ahmed will come near the end of time. Of course these type of knowledge was veiled till today because will show Christianity has been tampered and interfer by man hands to suit the interest of leaders and priests. Prophet Mohammed letter to Heraclius the great roman emperor the letter says( بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم، from prophet Mohammad to Heraclius the great roman emperor, become a Muslim you will be safe and Allah will double your rewards. If you cast off , you will bear the sin of Airus sect. recite a verse ("O people of the Scriptures! Come to a word common to you and us that we worship none but Allah and that we associate nothing in worship with Him, and that none of us shall take others as Lords beside Allah. Then if they turn away, say: Bear witness that we are Muslims." ) Heraclius after read the letter asked the people and priests around him to follow prophet Mohammed, the result was a great hue and cry to extent that Heraclius was scared of them and loose his throne. Heraclius responded to prophet Mohammed( I know you are the prophet of Allah , it is written in our scripture. Our scriptures says that you are going to appear . I invited our people to your call but they refused. If I could reach you , I would wash your feet. After prophet Mohammed died his companion defeated Heraclius in Syria and he run away to Byzantine empire. Companion name was Khalid bin Al-waleed. This lady need to tell the truth and if she knows the truth and refused to become a Muslim , she will carry the sins of Arius people. All prophets were Muslims carrying one message لا إله إلا الله.
that's a classic revelation that you don't know what you are talking about and your religious prejudice, it's all about the money, classic Jewish slur now charged to the christian, be original!
Arius had a different Canon and thats how he converted people he got his teaching form no one... he is lieterally someone who invented a doctrine out of no where
I think Arius was more pagan (i.e. like Plato) than the Trinitarians who were trying to follow the Bible. The Council of Chalcedon went further to define the being of Jesus, because we need a GodMan to redeem us. See this as a period of development.
I disagree. I think the influence of Plotinus (a pagan) is what drove the Council to absolutism in response to Arius' mixing of the divine and the corporeal.
Another Arian follower who just as well be an Eastern Orthodox church woman...Oh, no, she would be forced to be silent in that heretical religious group. Aries was not misunderstood! On the contrary, the council voted with almost unamity. Only Arius and one or two others did not vote in the affirmative at Nicea. Almost three hundred bishops voted to rebuke and refute the Arian doctrine!
Aruis is Libyan 🇱🇾 he was born in Cyrene Benghazi now we are proud of him ❤
I love the sound on these videos. They are peaceful and conducive to learning.
It seems the Arian christology makes more sense than the trinity which I always had a hard time making sense of.

No because Jesus did speak to the father and he did sended the Holy Spirit

Good analysis Arius did not believe in Trinity they persecuted him for that
because there is no trinity in the bibble, holy spirit in a force, not aperson in the bibble
I suspect that most Christians are Arians and don't know it.
@@kevineroseCompare between Prophet Muhammad's teachings and Arius’s teaching
Not correct. John 1 knocks it out the park.
@@davidlofthus612 Not correct. Isaiah 44:24 knocks John 1 out the park.
I don't think it would of naturally "worked itself out" many Christians were actually appealed to it
As History played out, Arianism became a hige threat to orthodox Chritianity over the next century.

@@engmashil Yes, this is the figure (orientalism). It is not literal.
They were becoming Pharisees.
... Having lost the theological battle at Nicaea, Arius is exiled to Illyria (modern day Bosnia),...
Arius was a true and great man who followed the bible.

I Agree.
Poor old Arius is in Hell
stanley callahan he had no idea of the Old Testament
I agree 👍🏿💯 he was a real man who said the truth by his life 😁
Arius enabled the church to define Christianity.
Nice ad hominem with zero substantiation. Just make it clear, you dislike the historical facts they're saying.
It is very surprising that there are no surviving documents!!! We speak about a council held in the name of the Empire!
It is not surprising at all. Don't forget that the trinitarians won out. It did not take long for the Arians to be persecuted as a heresy. The documents were all destroyed.

ARIUS he's my brother of God and he gave faithful to God for one God that right
Dr Mary Cunningham Thank you, you are a real academic!
Arius was the true follower of the holy Injil, and his name was mention in the letter from Prophet Mohamad ﷺ to the Roman Emperor Hereclius.

I agree! Jesus Christ is a mortal created by The Creator. We are all daughters and sons of the Creator.
The Son Superior to Angels
Its clear to me the Son who was, His spirit, was in the tent of the body God prepared for Him. "Father into your hands I commit my spirit"
About the Son who was
You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.
The fullness was pleased to dwell IN Him. Therefore in that unity with the Fathers fullness Jesus is the exact representation of the wisdom and power of the Father and in that context is God. As Gods firstborn (before all things) Jesus has always been the Son. Not God
Jesus's beginning was at some point in history before the world began but He has no end.
Appointed by the Fathers authority
Jesus is how the Father chose to forgive sin and God has made Jesus both Lord and Christ and a light to the nations. No one enters the kingdom of God apart from Jesus who is our judge. Those who feed off Him though they were to die yet shall they live. Those who believe in Him will never die.
Jesus is just a man wake up
That Paul would die for?
@@randyw.8781 You sound like a Jehovah's Witness.
Finally some info on Arianism- this is the stance of JWs, CHristians Witnesses of Jah, Christadelphians, some seventh day Adventist.
(The fullness was pleased to dwell in Him)
No, He has always been the Son.(Firstborn - a beginning at some point in history before the world began - but has no end)
So the trinity is far from a deception.

The nature of God is revealed within, universally, not by a council of Bishops issuing a mandate.
What she said of the position of Yeshua Jesus is exactly correct ..beyond man but below God Almighty ... As all men have the possibility of Being ... Man is always in a place of balancing being .
Then us men must go through another human as an intermediary in order to reach God.
Note Arius went against the Paulin doctrine (trinity) and preached Jesus’ message.
That's not true ("Paulin doctrine"). Arians accept St. Paul's epistles.
Arius view is Biblical. People are waking up to the Truth.
Gabriel wow not all , but the book two powers in heaven and you’ll see a none bias
Arius was supported only by five bishops whereas Athanasius by 318 bishops at the council of Nicaea.
Your usually on the wrong side when you side with the masses.
Using precedent from the Bible on religious doctrinal debate...this is always the case. The masses always went toward false doctrine. The lonely Prophet that dared to speak truth was always killed or dismissed.
When is the majority ever right?
Real simple...no almighty being who is completely God...can have a God.
With that said...read Revelation 3:12.
Hear it from Jesus himself.
As anybody heard and/or read the book "Blacks who died of Jesus" by Mark Hyman
It also must be noted, and a little known fact of the First Council of Nicaea in 325 AD that it had been decided that Die Hard was, in fact, a Christmas movie.
Arius was right
its quite surprising that in a discussion of the council of nicea, there is little discussion of another jesus figure who predated jesus called SERAPIS CHRISTUS... seems quite convenient to leave those facts out... never mind the subsequent death and destruction that followed those who went against the canon or creed of Nicea... why leave those bits of information out... unless like Arius, the object is to present only what one wants taken forward and erasing other versions of percieved truth.
Arius was a true Christian and a Muslim May Allah bless his soul.

Was there a time when Christ was not;
a place where The Father dwelt alone?
Truly, The Son is time and space itself:
His Spirit is the drama, and its gist, -
while GOD is "beyond nothingness".
Arius lacked OBJECTIVISM....
But he didnt lack in TRUTH.

Anathema on this comments section.
It seems a group of Jews, Muslims and Protestants don't understand Christian Theology and why Arius was a heretic and wrong...
Wonderful
Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:73
"The Messiah, son of Mary, was no more than a messenger. ˹Many˺ messengers had ˹come and˺ gone before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They both ate food.1 See how We make the signs clear to them, yet see how they are deluded from the truth! "
Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:75
Why focus on persecuting Arius?
Sounds to me the Council of Nicaea was the first example of Democrat Cancel Culture.
This Dr hold back what she should say. She try not to offend anyones.
TRINITY = GOD
GOD= Father,Son,Holy Spirit
nope, this is not what the bible say
Just so that i understand, God is made of 3 entities: father son and spirit. which one of the three is god and the decider. what if the son wants something and spirit says no or vice versa? I have difficulty comprehending this.
Why are you spreading false information? The trinity is a pagan concept that was invented by the creator of Catholicism, Simon Magus, there is NO evidence for this filth inside the Scripture, what's more, let me help you out with the contrary:
Deuteronomy 4:35
Unto thee it was shewed, that thou mightest know that YAHUAH he is God; there is none else beside him.
Deuteronomy 6:4
שמע ישראל יהוה אלהינו יהוה אחד
Hear o Israel, YAHUAH is our god and YAHUAH is One.
Deuteronomy 32:12
YAHUAH alone led him, and no foreign god was with him.
Deuteronomy 32:39
See now that I am He; there is no God besides Me. I bring death and I give life; I wound and I heal, and there is no one who can deliver from My hand.
1 Samuel 2:2
There is no one holy like YAHUAH. Indeed, there is no one besides You! And there is no rock like our God.
1 Kings 8:60
so that all the peoples of the earth may know that YAHUAH is God. There is no other!
Psalm 100:3
Know that YAHUAH is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
Isaiah 43:10
"You are My witnesses," declares YAHUAH, "and My servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe Me and understand that I am He. Before Me, no god was formed, and none will come after Me.
Isaiah 44:6
Thus says YAHUAH, the King and Redeemer of Israel, YAHUAH of Hosts: "I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God but Me.
Isaiah 44:8
Do not tremble or fear. Have I not told you and declared it long ago? You are My witnesses! Is there any God but Me? There is no other Rock; I know not one."
Isaiah 45:5
I am YAHUAH, and there is no other; there is no God but Me. I will equip you for battle, though you have not known Me,
Okay, question, does YAHUAH lie? No, for He says:
Numbers 23:19
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
In verse 17 of Numbers 23 the God in question is identified as none other than YAHUAH/יהוה.
Okay so if He does not lie, maybe He changed His mind and now all of a sudden He is no longer One but three? Nope, for it is written:
1 Samuel 15:29
And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent.
Psalm 89:34
I will not violate My covenant or alter the utterance of My lips.
Isaiah 31:2
Yet He too is wise and brings disaster; He does not call back His words. He will rise up against the house of the wicked and against the allies of evildoers.
Isaiah 40:8
The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever."
Jeremiah 4:28
Therefore the earth will mourn and the heavens above grow dark. I have spoken, I have planned, and I will not relent or turn back.
Malachi 3:6
For I am YAHUAH , I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Bowe so why did Jesus get baptized or pray?
If Christians had followed Arius vision of God, then it would not probably be nessacary to send another prophet. Note the prophet of Islam was sent right after the noe ariusians were wiped out . Therefore when Islam came, the north African people and beyond had been ready to accept Islam without hesitation. Especially after the Vandals who had been arius followers, occupied the region and after the death of that Algerian priest who had been a nightmare for Arius followers , for he had invented many weird ways of torturing those Ariusians . God is one and He is the greatest.
Abdel Hamza you mean a pedophile that brought a small incomplete book full of lies and no fulfilled prophecies?? No he doesn’t
Thank you
My view of Jesus in light of the question, "is Jesus God?"
He never dies. (The body on the cross did die) He has no end.
Yes, He is all that the Father is (The fullness was pleased to dwell in Him)
No, He has always been the Son. (Gods Firstborn-a beginning at some point in history before the world began)
Well John 17:5 He Said “Father give me back the glory which I had with you before the world was”
Trinity is pagan, Arius was right, Repent.
***** What does that mean shame of Arians?
Revolutionary Revolutionary we believe Jesus Christ and the apostles there is no denial of Jesus
I agree
Arius taught that law and gospel leads to the kingdom of God and the same rejected heresy was recycled in the Sventh-day Adventist Church.
This belief is based on an interpretation of a verse in the Gospel of John (14:28):[1] "You heard me say, 'I am going away, and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I."
Trinitarianism was formally affirmed by the first two Ecumenical Councils.
Diety yes
Just like Jesus, Arius believed in and understood the rehabilitation of fallen souls through re-incarnation. Even the disciples had some understanding of this element missing from Christianity today. The question they put to Jesus following the healing of the man born blind demonstrates this. Jesus could have condemned them for thinking such heretical thoughts but instead explained that in those circumstances the law of re-incarnation - any eye for an eye or tooth for tooth - did not apply as the man had been born blind in order that Jesus could demonstrate His powers or "in order to glorify the Son of Man".
"Comma debate,Trinity,Tertullian,1john5:7-8"
All admittedly invented and added into NT. Hundreds of other words and ideas also added such as mark16:9-20 john7:53 which do not appear in pre Nicene Koine Greek scripture s.
Countless people burned alive as "heretics " by church (many now Saints.)
Martin Luther and Erasmus both rejected 1john5:7-8 initially.
Tertullian who invented it later rejected this as idolatry.Constantine forced it in then murdered more in coliseum than romans did who rejected his creeds.

The trinity is a Catholic doctrine just like sprinkle by baptism the emaculant conception and Sunday Sabbath in stead of the7 day saturday
Roman empire and Athanasius came up with this doctrine. They came up with the concept of trinity and the force the people to accept it and they killed everyone went against them.
The bible says there is only one God John 17 v 3
1 Cor 8 v 6. Eph 4 v 6.
1 John 4 v 9 & 15
1 John 2 v 22
1 John 1 v 3 last part
The bible does not teach 3 Gods ( trinity ) or god the son or God the holy ghost. Revelation teaches that if u add anything or take anything out of this book u will receive the 7 last plaques. I will have to c what Arius really believed.

Christian to Arianism to Islam...
ARIUS WAS RIGHT
Arius taught that Jesus Christ was NOT God. Simple. And he was simply wrong.
Can God sin?
@@fredgillespie5855 The second Adam could not redeem if he were not capable of sin and free will. So he had to be a created being, as Adam was, to be an acceptable sacrifice. So Son of God yes - God no.- Godman no. Arianism is not completely there, but it is closer to something that meets scriptural context.
Wouldn't a more important question for the time be, whether or not slavery is ok?
No. And for your information there are still slaves today and your lifestyle is dependent on their labor. Check the label in your superman underwear and get back to me, freedom fighter.
Arius of Elexandria spoke the *truth* not simplicity or popular preacher!!!
If Christ wasn't a man he wouldn't be able to imply man's ablity to achieve high levels of beings ..super human , demi God , God man ... Buddha Moses Samson Sadhguru

It seems that Arius views were almost in line with Prophet Muhammed words about Jesus.
Wrong, the Old Testament does speak of Jesus and His crucifixion:
PSALM 22
7. All they that see me laugh me to scorn: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

Read John's Gospel, 1:1-18. The 'Word was with God and the Word was God'. Read whole passage to see above quote in context.
Then if they turn away, say: Bear witness that we are Muslims." )
Heraclius after read the letter asked the people and priests around him to follow prophet Mohammed, the result was a great hue and cry to extent that Heraclius was scared of them and loose his throne. Heraclius responded to prophet Mohammed( I know you are the prophet of Allah , it is written in our scripture. Our scriptures says that you are going to appear . Arius had a different Canon and thats how he converted people he got his teaching form no one... he is lieterally someone who invented a doctrine out of no where
What proof do you have ?
I think Arius was more pagan (i.e. like Plato) than the Trinitarians who were trying to follow the Bible. The Council of Chalcedon went further to define the being of Jesus, because we need a GodMan to redeem us. See this as a period of development.
I disagree. I think the influence of Plotinus (a pagan) is what drove the Council to absolutism in response to Arius' mixing of the divine and the corporeal.
Pagan?? The only council that knew Jesus was the council of Jerusalem.
