I test Drove the EX L, and fell in love! I am glad you cleared up the multiport question. The only Big Short complaint besides powertrain, is seat comfort! Go to an Auto section in a store, and get a lumbar cushion, or cushions for front seats! Once lumbar is improved, perfect! Sit back, and enjoy the trip, take your time!
Really enjoyed your review! Purchased this exact model and color but now in the 2024 model year. Excited to get it whenever it arrives. I’m going on month 2 of not having an exact delivery date. Crazy how long it takes to get a car these days but I hear with other brands I could have be waiting much much longer. This is me waiting patiently 😂

I have the 2023 HRV AWD LX. I absolutely love it 💓💓💓 The speed is just fine for me, as I have a led foot, tending to take risks in a faster car. So this keeps me safe. But it’s no dog either. If you know how to use your accelerator, it will pick up enough for you. Drives and handles beautifully. I have no complaints.

Does it have remote start, heated mirrors, heated steering wheel, heated seats? These are essential for those living in the north where it gets cold. Also, how is the air conditioning? Is it powerful and cold?

The Sport should come standard with the optional black exterior emblems. It looks great in Urban Grey Pearl. I'm getting a FWD. There are two aftermarket $300 add ons that van make this HR-V faster.

I've heard the front seats were hard as a rock. I wonder how that will do for long drive comfort? Also heard they have some body stability function for comfort. Do those two things - rock hard/body stability work for comfort?
I was in the vehicle all day and the seats weren't bad at all. Of course brand new car seats do tend to be a bit firmer before they've been "softened up" a bit through time and miles of use. Vehicle stability can contribute to a more controlled and stable ride (hence the term) and many people might find that more comfortable than a soft and squishy ride. I hope you can check it out for yourself and let me know how the HR-V feels to you overall. Thanks for watching..:) Steve

138 lbs of torque with a cvt and weight of 2000 kg.0-60 in 11 sec.
Taos: 184 lbs of torque with a wonderful dsg .0-60 in 7.5 sec and better avg economy fuel , better wad , better cargo space and look way better .
Did Honda do anything to improve the pearl white paint?

I wouldn't own any vehicle with a CVT. It ruins any vehicle that it is in. And the reality is, it saves very little fuel over a proper automatic transmission. It's just cheaper to build, that's why some auto manufacturers use them.
Good you won't buy a CVT. That leaves a new HRV available for me. Having owned a 2017 HRV with CVT with 125,000 trouble free miles I will gobble up a new 2023 Sport.

Slow really isn't the problem with this. It's the electrical system, you can't use the rear defrost because it shatters the back window. The steering sticks and jerks like the Civic, and the back brakes rub all the time. Please if you have this vehicle, disable the lane assist and check to see if your steering is sticking before you have an accident.
Honda HR-V's use a 2.0 liter non turbo 4 cylinder.
People still mention "ABS" with pride as if some new technology?
It's certainly not "new" since it was basically introduced around 1971 for cars. I continually mention it because I feel it is one of the premier safety features (like airbags and crumple zones) ever invented for use in the automobile. You are absolutely correct! I don't know why that popped out of my mouth at the 23:00 minute mark in a 25 minute review...but it did. I must have been thinking about the CR-V and not the HR-V..:) Steve

For those scaremongers towards cvt, i tell you Nissan builds the best cvt out there. Toyota or Honda comes 2nd.
CTV is a deal breaker for me.
They can have issues. I think Toyota has the best CVT with their first gear to get it moving. Starting off the line is where most of the wear happens

A Honda Civic type r ek generation only has 160hp. 2 less hp of a 90s icon isn't that bad. Unless you're a MOPAR guy and drinks budweiser while driving
car looks CHEAP!! 25k for a car with no cup holders or vents in the back.. the screen itself its big but the actual size you will use it small. I look at that Android Nav and it is just awful.
Who actually buys this Honda when there are better cars out there... Hyundai Kona, even Kia have better cars nowadays

It is different, that is for sure. But I've always found, whenever I'm driving a vehicle that I never see the front end of it anyway, so it's not a deal breaker for me..:) Steve
