🌊 Day 144 Ocean Swim - The Passing Torch: Training My Successor - Ocean Swim Series

🌊 I will begin formally training my replacement at work next week. He’s a young-ish man, with a wife and a toddler to support-the perfect replacement! He’s going to need those responsibilities to see him through. As nothing motivates a man (I can’t speak for women) like a family to support. My load is lessening further with this young-ish man’s arrival. Soon, my burden will be his. His eyes are eager. He say’s “yes” even before he’s heard what needs be done. He’s definitely the right one for the job. The world will grind on better with this man in my place. The grind within me being gone. (KB)

As I teach him the ropes, his eager eyes and ready “yes” affirm my choice. The world will indeed grind on, perhaps even better, with him in my place. As my own grind begins to fade, I find peace in knowing that I’m leaving my responsibilities in capable hands.
