Welcome to Peterbilt team. Pete air Leaf air ride suspension. That's what the space between the def tank and 100 gallon tank is for 150 gallons. Need 150 gallon tanks to go for miles and miss those high price fuel stops.
I had a 2019 589 automatic like that and am GLAD i got a new 2020 Peterbilt 13 speed flat top ungoverned and none of the buzzers going off constantly from the worn out lines in the road.

I definitely like the dash layout and gauges better than the freightliner, other than the cup holders, and the smoother ride is a 100% improvement. The interior storage isn't as good or useful being it's all open without doors to keep things where they are. Maybe some nets would help?
I'm in a 2020 Cascadia now and just I have just about every square inch of space filled up, I can't imagine loosing that much storage. I can't wait to see how you overcome that hurdle. I'd love to get into a Pete but the lack of storage would be the only deal breaker for me.
It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be Jason. The cabinets are deeper and the bunk up top is much larger. The top bunk in the Peterbilt is actually larger than the bottom bunk on the Freightliner, which made a big difference. What I really do miss is all the storage of front in the drivers in area.
I bought a Kenworth T680 through a bank. My truck has a little more storage in the sleeper. It has a Cummings engine and I really love my truck. Next year I'm getting my own authority. Maybe I will see you out trucking one day.
I’d love to see a video with small clips that show an example of a complete day. From wake up to PTI, check in, drop off, daily errands and paperwork or phone calls to conduct business, repairs or truck stop, fuel, break, and whatever else. Most people do individual videos on different topics which I have learned a lot by watching, but I don’t think it shows the stress and long hours and everything all together because we watch them separately. Just a thought. Don’t want a 12 hour video but if it gave a update on each topic for a min or two I think it would make a great 30 min “day in the life of a trucker” video.
I just signed onto my first otr company and hit the road in 2 weeks, got myself one of these beauties actually just without that sexy logo and with the x15 engine
Peterbilts are the best in my opinion but I'm not a big fan of the 579 I like the classic looking Pete's like the 389 but any Pete is better than a Freightliner
All the trucks are that way but the new ones are much better. The 2017 I drove was really loud. Needed a super Trucker headset. The new 2018.5-2021 models are much better and about the same as the Peterbilt.
Great tour guys! Good work! You should check out the 22 Cascadia, it's still a freight shaker! Haha Oh! And look at 3M DUAL LOCK, it will change your life!
So JJ, I noticed that you said that the mirrors were heated but my question to you is does that include the hood mirrors as well, are the hood mirrors heated as well as the door mirrors⁉️

So, you're doing your lease purchase and eventually you'll be done with your payments lets say in 3 years but after you pay it off, can you still use it under primes authority? and I ask this because most of the videos I've seeing from prime says that if an owner operator wants to join prime, their trucks have to be 2018 or newer but when you pay of your truck lets say by the of 2024 your truck will not be considered a newer model to prime I guess right? So that means you will have to go under your own authority or will prime still consider your truck under their own authority?
The first part of this vid was recorded earlier than the caves vid where I showed it with singles. Yes, once it's paid off in 3 years, I can still run under Prime's Authority with that truck fkr 2 more years. After that, it will be inspected annually to ensure it meets their safety requirements, etc.
@@JJtheTrucker hey buddy, forgot to ask you... Can I get into the lease purchase as soon as I upgrade from TnT with the available $$$ down payment instead of doing lease first or do I have to wait a certain time before I can do lease purchase?

@@JJtheTrucker yeah I guess so. The reason I noticed is our local company that work the ports of Charleston just bought daycabs the same way. I always thought that it was because this exhaust was cheaper. Drive safe!
Nice Truck for sure! You will never make any real money with that much of a payment though. Be a company driver, save up and get a used truck then run on your own numbers!

I'm OK making fake money for the next 3 years, then I'll own the truck and make real money. Check out that vid to see why I went this route.

And proud of it!
Don’t know if you can answer but how much do they charge for custom decals?
That really depends on what you want, how big they are, whether they're doing the artwork for you, etc. I go through Stripes and Stuff. This truck's graphics cost around $1100 and they already had the artwork from the previous truck.
JJ the Trucker ok thank you so much for the info!
