    Welcome to Peterbilt team. Pete air Leaf air ride suspension. That's what the space between the def tank and 100 gallon tank is for 150 gallons. Need 150 gallon tanks to go for miles and miss those high price fuel stops.

    I hated super singles. I even bought a stack of tires for my trucks and trailers. And still decided I’d try super singles on my trailer. And I have to say I’ve been loving them. They ride smoother than duals on my trailer. Prime being a huge super single company. You’re perfectly fine with them.

    I definitely like the dash layout and gauges better than the freightliner, other than the cup holders, and the smoother ride is a 100% improvement. The interior storage isn't as good or useful being it's all open without doors to keep things where they are. Maybe some nets would help?

  • @jasondangelo4life
    @jasondangelo4life 4 роки тому +2

    I'm in a 2020 Cascadia now and just I have just about every square inch of space filled up, I can't imagine loosing that much storage. I can't wait to see how you overcome that hurdle. I'd love to get into a Pete but the lack of storage would be the only deal breaker for me.

    • @JJtheTrucker
      @JJtheTrucker  4 роки тому +2

      It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be Jason. The cabinets are deeper and the bunk up top is much larger. The top bunk in the Peterbilt is actually larger than the bottom bunk on the Freightliner, which made a big difference. What I really do miss is all the storage of front in the drivers in area.

  • @michaelalbertson5086

    I bought a Kenworth T680 through a bank. My truck has a little more storage in the sleeper. It has a Cummings engine and I really love my truck. Next year I'm getting my own authority. Maybe I will see you out trucking one day.

    I’d love to see a video with small clips that show an example of a complete day. From wake up to PTI, check in, drop off, daily errands and paperwork or phone calls to conduct business, repairs or truck stop, fuel, break, and whatever else. Most people do individual videos on different topics which I have learned a lot by watching, but I don’t think it shows the stress and long hours and everything all together because we watch them separately. Just a thought. Don’t want a 12 hour video but if it gave a update on each topic for a min or two I think it would make a great 30 min “day in the life of a trucker” video.

    Hi Jasen, is this is an old recording? I ask because on one of your previous video it had the super singles already 🤔..
    So, you're doing your lease purchase and eventually you'll be done with your payments lets say in 3 years but after you pay it off, can you still use it under primes authority? and I ask this because most of the videos I've seeing from prime says that if an owner operator wants to join prime, their trucks have to be 2018 or newer but when you pay of your truck lets say by the of 2024 your truck will not be considered a newer model to prime I guess right? So that means you will have to go under your own authority or will prime still consider your truck under their own authority?

    • @JJtheTrucker
      @JJtheTrucker  4 роки тому +2

      The first part of this vid was recorded earlier than the caves vid where I showed it with singles.
      Yes, once it's paid off in 3 years, I can still run under Prime's Authority with that truck fkr 2 more years. After that, it will be inspected annually to ensure it meets their safety requirements, etc.

      Thanks Norman, I try to to keep the trucks looking as good as I can. It wasn't really a sad moment though for two main reasons. 1, it was simply a rental truck. I was not getting anything out of it and would have had to turn it in anyways. 2, check out the video that is coming out in about 30 minutes.

    The one thing i did like about the freightliner was the shocks for the hood.
    You could push the hood forward and the shocks would guide it home. But ride quality pete hands down
    Also i have a 32" in mine. ONN tv mount and drill new holes into the bracket on the wall and voila!

      There is, but it's under the bunk facing the rear, and the stereo sucks. Not a big enough Amp built in to get it to thump. Not much of a difference from the Freightliner, other than the wasted storage space lol.

    • @JJtheTrucker
      @JJtheTrucker  3 роки тому +2

      If you come to Prime, your first truck will definitely be an auto. Then you can decide which you like better. Some really like the auto once they get used to them. Others are die hard clutch mashers 😜
      The choice is yours.
      Personally, I've never driven a manual truck. Lots of manual cars. Not the same, I know, but I gotta say, I really am a fan of these autos. Just my opinion.
