The reason Charlie Brown attacked the show and not Cartman himself is because that would be giving Cartman EXACTLY what he wants. It would drag him down to his level.

Personally, I think Lucy won that one. Her bars are way more memorable to me, my favourites being: "pork isn't kosher", "someone tell Heidi to hide and get her some iodine", as well as "and I don't sugar coat it cuz then you'd probably eat me."
Cartman was more mocking of Charlie, messing around (as he should be), but Lucy cut into Cartman.
Mocking? He literally brought up that the voice actor of charlie brown killed himself.

Funfact: When cartman told Charlie to go see a psychiatrist he actually said “aight bet.” Because he came back with Lucy! Which has a stand to be a psychiatrist. When Lucy talks to Cartman about when it all went wrong. Thats why Lucy came in she had a purpose too in the first place

For a battle rap, anytime an extra person jumps in for one side, that sides loses by default. If you wanna ignore all that, then sure, Lucy wins.
I seriously love all of Animation vs. Anything's raps, but I think the use of the characters' full names is a bit... excessive?

Listening to the rap more, I’m siding more with cartman on this one, I vibed more with his bars than Charlie brown’s, Charlie mostly had the unique insults, while cartman had the flow, impressive word play, and the overall better rap skills.
Cartman soloed. People acting like Charlie Brown was “a better person” for walking away, when wimping out in the middle of a rap battle is something exactly in character he would do. Walking away does not win you a battle. The idea that not being dragged down to someone else’s level is somehow “disrespectful” is lost on me. His one verse were all just cheap shots about the show, rather than Cartman himself. While Lucy’s surprise appearance made it a somewhat close call, the fact that Charlie failed to even deliver on her fairly obvious set up at the end gives Cartman the win for me. This whole rap battle until Lucy showed up felt hilariously one sided, and if she hadn’t intervened it would have been no contest.
ngl i thought it was funny that he did exactly what cartman told him to do and got help from a psychiatrist, he really wasnt giving cartman that second verse. cartman vs charlie brown obvs cartman wins (2 verses lol and he didnt even deliver the punchline) but against lucy he didnt even get a chance to say anything, though i think her verse was better than cartman's 2nd

Ive seen this battle around 5 times, and it's only now that I realized what Cartman meant by calling Charlie's Mom horny. It's amazing how much new stuff you can still find in Eddie's Rap Battles.
Imo, even after having Cartman's first verse come around for me, his second verse is the weakest one out of the four. Im not a fan of using actual people's deaths for dumb cartoon rap battles - Spongebob v. Capt. Underpants was great and pretty even on both sides until C.U. brought Hillenberg's death in. A brief bar would have been... tolerable at least, but an entire verse was such overkill it fired back on Eric. Even ignoring that though, there were a lot of weak bars. Was Charlie Brown being fat ever A Thing? it feels like he's just projecting his self-esteem issues onto him then and then on. Also who cares if Peppermint Patty & Marcy are gay, or if Sharon and Kenny watch his movies a lot?
About Charlie Brown attacking South Park as a whole: I like it a lot. It's more in line with Charlie's personality to go for the big picture rather than target a single person. At least Cartman still gets hurt as a facet of the show; how can you hurt Charlie through his friends in the same breath as calling them backstabbers and fake? It's like if you were to diss Christianity, and if you were to use Judaism or Islam. Jewish text is still a part of Christianity, but Islam is just a separate ball park in the same city, and also both ball parks lowkey hate each other.
