Been waiting a long time for them to do this style of Sentry. I love the hair sculpt. The comic art of him looking like this is badass. It’s what I wanted for the first version. First version was too bulky too he never looked that bulky in the comics. This slimmer version with the hair and glowing eyes is pure accuracy. I’m in Canada so hopefully it ends up in a GameStop here.

I bought that same figure today at Walgreens
After all these years it shouldn't be a slight upgrade. But whatever. Why it's not on the vulcan body is beyond me.
Why would it be on a smaller body ?
The new Sentry is so much better IMO
1.) The new cape is astronomically better. I love the overlay in the chest and it’s way better than the awful painted cape section on the old Sentry
2.) The new Sentry actually has 2 fists! Not to mention the other hands (and extra head). The old Sentry had a gripping hand. Why? Who knows, but it was super annoying
3.) The old Hyperion body mold is trash. The anatomy on that figure is ridiculous. The way the chest sticks out and the enormous cankles kill the look of that mold
Sentry is one of my all time favorite characters. Deff grabbing 3 at least for death seed sentry and all powerful sentry
Despite this being on the Grim Reaper body and therefore my excitement being very low for this figure I think I’ve actually come around to it. It’s not incredible but it’s ok, and a fairly good representation of the character, and definitely and marked improvement of Hasbro’s previous attempt (which was not that hard to do, to be fair, but still)

Just bought this figure at Walgreens at 40% off. I'm glad I waited.
I can understand why people weren’t crazy about this figure when they showed it off but at the same time….. still MILES better than the old one.
I’ve been checking updates to cop for this fig for the last 30 days. Still waiting…🤣🤣🤣🤣

Weird that you got trigger hands. The websites shows them being more like claw hands.
Thanks for the review. I can state positively that this product qualifies as an upgrade on its cape alone. For a collector without one, this is a good product to have. Negatively, this just doesn't cut it as an upgrade for me for two reasons; hair and price. The wind swept hair on the neutral portraits is a misguided design flaw of Hasbro, we've seen some of the ramifications of that in Siryn and Mme. Hydra. For the life of me I cannot understand the reasons behind choosing a closed mouth with wind swept hair.
The lesson we have learned with this closed box experiment is that Hasbro's ML Brand manager has no idea the tarnish caused by false advertising. It is one thing to feature a digital rendition, however if the depiction is in a pose that cannot be obtained, the deception costs me $$$. That cost comes with mistrust, that leads to disloyalty.
Good review. Figure is okay, but for the new price, it's not okay.
This is better than the original but, I think the Vulcan bod would've been a better choice with flat palm hands for flight poses as well as the fists or the ones Vulcan has. Trigger fingers...why?
Retro Hercules bod could've worked too for a bulkier look.
I like the saturated colours.
There is a known Quality issue that the right leg is shorter than the left, that makes the figure lean to the right when in an upright stance. Have you checked your sentry's leg?

Only thing that bugs me is his hair is windswept but his cape isn't. So it just looks odd

How are the legs on this (your) figure. The legs on mine are "gimmy" very soft and maliable, bendy (SUX) IMO ..
I agree with the whole (stylised) hair sculpt, wish Hasbro could always do neutral headsculpts with majority of figures

I'll buy it but I will change the stupid cape that floats in the opposite way of the hair.

Not the first time they botch a figure by picking one image and “copying it” in 3D. But this one looks better than the past occurrences.

Opinion. Same body = same figure
This is not at all an upgrade.
It may be a stupid Walgreen's exclusive repaint, But to me, Sentry looks really cool with the new updated head sculpts and his powers are so awesome which does makes me sad that the Void will take over him if he has a chance to use it, Also Sentry Productions will be please to have this figure, Fantastic review erivera94,

To be fair, There are Marvel Legends collectors that complain that Hasbro keeps reusing the same Grim Reaper body mold every time, In that case, It's a ''repaint'' to them.
@@fernandodelgado4329 It's not the same Grim Reaper body mold though. The upper body is all new. If this reviewer would have did a comparison with the Grim Reaper body mold which would have made more sense or the Vulcan body you would have seen that. However after seeing him next to War Machine it seems the head sculpt is a little big.
My custom sentry looks much better than Hasbro
This objectively looks worse than the Hyperion body mold version. I don't know if it's the soft sculpt or Fisher Price aesthetics, but this thing just flat out sucks, and was completely unneeded as well.

If you’re going for accuracy to human anatomy, this mold is actually far better than the Hyperion body mold. The Hyperion body mold’s chest is like a freaking shelf with the way it sticks out lol
Sounds like you just hate the bright yellow, which is again, not an “objective” criticism lol
They definitely could added some shading to the yellow.
