      @madev_channel  9 місяців тому +1

      Simply put, the Model 3 is clearly more sporty, while ET5 is a family car with a sporty look, and it does feels more comfortable.
      Take Germany fro expample.
      ET5 with a 75-kWh battery 61,900 euros, and ET5 Touring starts at 59,500 euros.
      As for Model 3, a dual-motor version is 51,990 euros.

    nice video bud. i'm in the market for a new car and comparing the et5t and es6. I have twin boys so i'd be installing two car seats in the back. Obviously the es6 makes more sense but my wife says she doesn't feel comfortable driving such a big car. Any suggestions or alternatives based on this info? Also i've heard NIO to have some software issues, constantly needing to have the car checked up. DId you have a similar experience?

    • @madev_channel
      @madev_channel  9 місяців тому +1

      ES6 maybe the best choice for two children, as it has bigger doors and tailgates. If you want to install two seats, sedans or wagons can do the trick but might be inconvient.
      NT 1.0 has some issue, but the NT 2.0 is much better. BTW I don't know the situation of NIO in your country, so...

    shouldn't you have gotten the SUV like the ES8 or EC6? I had a Nissan Sentra and found that my Nissan Altima is just overall better with more space. I would assume it's similar when comparing the ET5 and ET7?

      The ET7 my boos own has none of these issue, bu it's just too expensive for me. And I really wanted a sporty sedan, so I ruled out SUV(but now I really like the new ES6). But the ET5 turned out to be not sporty at all. But I did enjoy its comfort and the really good service from NIO.

    Some european reviewers hve complained about nomi warning to much during the assisted driving. They also get bother about to much audio signals feedbacks during driving (barely overspeeding, close to lanes, not focusing, etc. ). Did this also happen to nio cars in china or is it a europeans software issue?

    • @madev_channel
      @madev_channel  11 місяців тому +1

      Well, I think it depends on preferences. NOMI is quite vocal, it really likes to speak up😂 and you can't change its character but only the voice. As for the audio singals, the volume is tuned down lately via ota, and the frequency was also tuned.

    Most of the problems you presented do not exist in the touring version. Regarding the legs bumping into the steering wheel, the seat is lower in the touring version, so they probably won't bump into each other anymore. And besides, you can just aim the steering wheel at the top. As for the rear window that was too small for you, there is a camera in Dioc for that. You said "the suspensions are too hard when they should be soft, and they are too soft when they should be hard" you need hard suspensions in sport mode, you need soft suspensions in comfort mode, that's what the car does. In normal you can put standard mode. There is a custom mode. I don't fully understand this claim... the biggest drawback that also exists in the touring version is that it is too small in width which causes the knee to hit the car door, it makes it difficult for him to relax more in the driver's seat. This is a real problem, which exists in 90 percent of sedan vehicles. Why start a video saying that I regretted buying the et5, and then at the end say that it's actually a great car overall, and there is no sedan car better than it in the price range.

    • @madev_channel
      @madev_channel  11 місяців тому

      I only said it's not as sporty as it apeared to be.
      We also have a Touring here, the seat was lowered by 1.5 cm and the rear windscreen has a slitghly better view. But chassis, suspension, and handling are all pretty much the same. TBH, most of the problems here do not exist in the ET7.
      And, the suspension tuning is the same in every mode, the mode only changes acceleration, brake, steering. and re-gen.
      It's not an air spring, how can you expect it to adpat by a single tap on the screen?

  • @seb.
    @seb. 11 місяців тому +1

    2:13 everything feels lower? Well in SUV you barely see outside, so I don't think I would have your same conclusion 😉

    Sounds like P7i is probably the better sports sedan. Most of the problems listed here P7i does better. It’s hard to find objective reviews on NIO. It seems larger review groups are afraid of calling out NIO. All of the NIO reviews are great. Then why does ET5 sales suck? Because no one wants to lose access to NIO events.

    • @tani123
      @tani123 11 місяців тому +1

      The sales of the et5 are better than those of the p7... and the real reasons that the sales were only mediocre, are new models, and refurbished models. A price war, as it left et5 the most attractive on the market, but made people think that nio will lower prices soon. (CEO of nio stated, (and exists) that nio is not going to lower prices. A lot of people didn't believe him) Economic uncertainty that hit the luxury segment, electric, pure. Not offering a version with less performance. Corona that hit nio hard. These are the main reasons for the drop in demand for et5. And if everyone says it's a great car, then I think it's worth considering that it might really be great. Even this reviewer who was very critical of the et5, says it is the best sedan in this price range.

    • @madev_channel
      @madev_channel  11 місяців тому

      P7i is actually a sportier one. But for me I perfer the battery swap, so I had to compromise.

I myself 5"10 cant even seat well on those size had to go for large Sedan or an SUV. Why didn't you go for ET7 or ES and EC SUV instead? It is like a man supposed to wear Large size and he convinced himself to fit medium size. smh. You making a very silly review that most people who seems enough reviews from youtube already knew.
    buggar me..... this dude talking about suspension the way he driving. oh my.....gotta be his first car ever driven. you want comfort but u driving mad speeding on hill and bump with low car suspensionthat made for sport mode? Ever own a sport car? Well then don't lower your suspension and for goodness sake.. pick somecar on your size and weight to keep it balance and when u do get larger car make sure the tyre is thicker 55 with 18" or lower wheel size and it will deliver you comfort feeling on road. Dont ever get 19"+ wheel if you seeking comfort feelings and don't pick a sport car.

    • @madev_channel
      @madev_channel  11 місяців тому

      First, obviusly, it's the issue of money that I didn't get the ET7😅. Most of the problems are not there in the ET7. My boss has one and it really feels perfect.
      Second, the ET5 is by no mean a small car, on the contrary, it's fairly big(4790mm*1960mm*1499mm). But it was widely complained by the owners that the seats are too high, making the head room and view not so good, and as I tested, only people that is not too short ot too high have the issue, so for me it's okay😀.
      Third, if I were to buy an SUV, it would be the new ES6. But I wanted a sporty sedan (I already own a Fiesta ST), so my first choice is the Zeekr 001, which is proven to be sporty. But I really want the battery swap, so I had to compromise on the sporty side. But it turned out the ET5 is not sporty at all.
      Fourth, and yes, I drives fast, so I want great handling and good chassis to support it, but this ET5 is made for comfort, not for sport. AND the suspension is factory setting, is not lowered. It's a bit too high and I can fit a fist or more between the arch and the tire.

    • @dann5515
      @dann5515 11 місяців тому

      @@madev_channel What you mean by no mean is a small car? Every reviewers have mentioned before it launched date. And I myself outside of China on video can even tell the size. But man..cm'on now... you are 6"3! Sport car are rarely designed for someone your size. You may find the rare 2 seats sport car to fit your size. The only sporty large sedan look I can think of is my previous Subaru Liberty STi AWD. Or Ford Mustang. Holden HSV SS. Audi Q7. Yes I know they aren't EV. But I get it when I was young we all craving for sporty look car and cool engine sound coming out of butt hole. But if you want sporty looking EV sedan for your size you have to wait till they get into US market and that's when they will think of the larger size design. As for now is still an early EV era. Is only the beginning. More to come in next 2 years onward. If I were you. I go for the size fit my body for comfort. Your complaint is irrelevant to the car's design. You only making yourself another complaint karen like in US a FAT giant people complaining about the plane seat is not big enough.

      If you watch the video, you'll see my head room is perfectly fine :) And it's only the location of the seat that is higher than regular sedan, which is an issue known to all ET5 owners.
