About Maude: Gutsy, smart, outspoken, and liberal -- all are terms that describe Beatrice Arthur in the title role of the TV series that spun off from the popular All in the Family. Well-educated and upper-middle-class, Maude Findlay is the archetypal feminist of her generation. She lives in suburban Tuckahoe, New York, with her fourth husband, Walter (Bill Macy), their divorced daughter, Carol (Adrienne Barbeau), and grandson Phillip. The cast also includes Rue McClanahan as Maude's best friend Vivian; Walter's best friend and neighbor Dr. Arthur Harmon (Conrad Bain); and over the course of the series, three different maids (Esther Rolle, Hermione Baddeley and Marlene Warfield). Tough issues like abortion, alcoholism, women's liberation, menopause and politics are all fodder for the show's sharp wit and social commentary.

"Can't we just be friends?" 😅😂
Heavens to hemlock.
I find the video’s title amusing. I wonder if was a wink or a slip.
Just brave lady ❤I love this season missing you bea
I only recently found out that Norman Lear passed away. I loved All in the Family, I had a phase of watching 70s sitcoms in college, now I must watch Maude. Plus I had no idea Hermione Baddeley was in this show
Now he belongs to the ages.
Have you ever looked at fire? I mean, REALLY looked at it? 😂
I KNEW I RECOGNIZED HIM!!!!!!!!!!
Only when hosting a barbecue.
Great Caesar’s Ghost!
Great show.
Ranks right up there with “THE FALL GUY”.
That bartender actor was on a couple episodes. He also played the cop at the police station when Maude was busted for marijuana.
@Mister_Listener,
I recall those episodes in question.
However, just how would you possibly describe a verbal confrontation between Maude and Sheriff Elroy P. Lobo of Orly County, Georgia?
Such a great show! ❤
Is this were "Adam and Steve" comes from?
I think it pre dates even this show. Very Very old joke
@@alexw9373I’m not so sure, the audience got a pretty big laugh from it, like they’d never heard it before. My reply to it when I’ve encountered it has always been “But God also made Cain and Abel, not Cain and Mabel”
Basically yes.
Possibly.
Makes one wish that Archie and Edith should have encountered Gomez and Morticia Addams?!
Maude/Bea was so ahead of her time.
But then again, Archie wasn’t a hundred years behind the times, he just wanted to stay within his personal limitations.
Loved Maude.
@bakenumber4,
How would you possibly describe a verbal confrontation between Maude and Sheriff “Big Ed” Little of Chickasaw County, Georgia, from the classic 1979-85 CBS action adventure comedy series “THE DUKES OF HAZZARD”?
Is there no one here who would honestly like to describe a possible verbal confrontation between Maude and possibly Sheriff Elroy P. Lobo of Orly County, Georgia?
I love this series
@HridoyAhmadShanto221,
How would you possibly describe a verbal confrontation between Maude and Hazzard County Commissioner J.D. “Boss” Hogg after Hogg’s brother-in-law Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane gave Walter a ticket for speeding through a phony school zone?
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bless your soul bea

Standing pact.
Love her more than
@promus69,
How would you possibly describe a verbal confrontation between Maude and Sheriff Horatio Masters of Winslow County, Georgia, all because Senior Duty Officer Sergeant Beauregard Wiley cited Walter for driving with broken tail light glass, even though the tail light was personally smashed by Wiley’s unwanted partner, Atlanta PD Officer Wilhameinha Johnson aka The Fox (for brains instead of vanity) using her regulation police baton to smash out the glass of the tail light on the car?
RIGHT ON, MAUDE!
@scottlevine7647,
How would you possibly describe a verbal confrontation between Maude and Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane of Hazzard County, Georgia, after Rosco gives Walter a ticket for speeding through a phony school zone?
Gives a whole new meaning to "television programming" doesn't it?
And I notice the same pattern of the same people pushing it. Give you a hint…they ain’t Irish.
Quite possibly.
Goodnight nurse.
oh God.......: /.......... we NEED ARCHIE IN THIS EPISODE. BIG TIME.....
Especially when Maude said "I will die before I say anything derogatory ever again."
He’d go absolutely batty 🦇!
@michaelleary9233,
How would you possibly describe a verbal confrontation between Maude and Sheriff Elroy P. Lobo of Orly County, Georgia?
Avoid fruit flies, they hover around rotten things and spread decay further.
I see what you did there.
We can't survive w/out them & other pollinators 🪰
President Marbas is HUNGRY
Don't be a trick
Wow that’s hilarious
