HAIR SPRAY RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS
* 1 cup water
* 1.5 tablespoons white sugar (adjust if needed)
* 1 tablespoon 80 proof alcohol
* 10 drops essential oil
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Bring the water to a boil over high heat and then add in the sugar.
2. Stir the sugar water until all the sugar is dissolved.
3. Remove the pot from the heat and allow it to cool.
4. Once cooled, add in the alcohol and essential oils.
5. Transfer to a glass spray bottle for storage.

To fully emulsify essential oils, so they mix into spray, you should be adding essential oils to pure alcohol BEFORE adding alcohol to sugar water

Hello! I've discovered you recently and have been binge watching your videos. I wear a hijab (headscarf) and my hair is always tied up and covered whenever i go out. I was wondering if you have any good recipes for hair strength? Mainly for the roots as my hair is always tied. I also have alopecia areata, so i only lose more hair. I'd appreciate knowing what things i could use to help with my hair.
I'm also engaged and my fiance has never seen my hair, I am nervous about it and I want my hair to look beautiful the first time he sees it. But I'm really self conscious about it, especially with my hairline where its most visible. 😓

Do you have to use the 80 proof alcohol? I understand it's needed to make the hairspray dry once you spray it, but is there something else I can use that would accomplish that?
You can leave it out and just use sugar water. It just won't last as long.

I have a question that I have not seen anyone address. I know you are supposed to put essential oils in glass bottles because the oils can break down plastic. Can anyone explain to me why it is safe to use a sprayer then? The spray tube is plastic that goes down into the oils. Why is this okay? It doesn't make sense to me. I'm asking an honest question here and don't want to use something unsafe.
Just if it sits in there overtime it will be a problem so going through the spray nozzle is OK.
