this episode was SO good i literally watched the whole thing over again right after this reaction!!!
I did a rewatch last night too 😁 Loved this episode and seeing everything from Lillia’s point of view.
I did some digging and the power Lilia used in this episode is called Chronoskimming. If controlled a person can send their awareness/consciousness/mind/spirit/soul to a past or even future version of themselves. If you've watched X-Men: Days of Future Past you'd have seen Kitty Pryde use a similar version of the ability. In theory it could mean that Lilia is still alive but it also means that her life will always end the same way because if she avoids her path she would change the future in unforeseen ways.
Sharon Davis(Mrs. Hart) did mention that the town did have a failed transportation system.
OMG!!! I forgot about that!
good catch
“When will it come for me”
Hit me as “when will it comfort me”
Which plays to the line before
“You say it like it’s a comfort”
if this was intentional wtf
@@rimurusensei7 It's both. The show LOVES paralleling physical and psychological struggles with magic and it's UNBELIEVABLY fascinating. Generational Trauma with Alice, Self Doubt with Jen, Self harm and Self hatred with Agatha and Dementia/Alzheimers with Lillia. Lillia's "When will it come for me?" felt so suicidal, it hit really really hard. But at the same time, death also sounds comforting because it's an end of pain as we know it. This show has been unbelievably great so far
Lilia flipping the gravity in the room using The Tower card is honestly so epic.
(Even though its also so sad...)
What i noticed is that Jen was very selfish during the first trials, like pushing everyone outta her way so she can get out first, now its different 🥹😭
Playing the comforting role for a centuries old witch practically suffering from Alzheimer's. She really shined too.
Can we also appreciate Agatha pushing Lilia out of the way of the swords. Like everyone paints agatha as selfish which she definitely is dont get me wrong but there is so much more to her character 🥲
@@skyraven9079I mean if she didn’t then they wouldn’t have been able to pass the trial so I’m not sure she would’ve saved her otherwise (I love Agatha this is absolutely no hate on her or you)
They really became a coven 🥹
@@SaturnG_url lets be honest though, she never cared about the trials aha. She didnt drink the wine, she wasted time not doing the ouija board. I just think theres more to her than what meets the eye. I dont think she saved Lilia just because of the trial because her track record of caring about the trials is pretty non existent 🥲, i think shes starting to care about her makeshift coven. But we’ll see what happens in the finale :)
Lilia was a real one in the end same for Alice. Both of them were my favorites in the coven. Alice did really great during her run on The Road, but Lilia went out like a boss. She is DA GOAT.
I saw ur comment in other reactions lol
Even Deadpool fell in love with Death.... She's neutral, she just does what she has to and is her work, and she really felt something for Agatha, that's why she said she felt so bad for taking her son, it was only her job
Still makes no sense why she tried to kill Agatha
@@maverickmurphy She didn't, and she couldn't. It was basically foreplay with knives.
@@Abillamam I don't think so
@@Abillamamno, she absolutely could. Agatha only survived that fight because of the knowledge she gained on the road from other witches and Billy coming to save her.
@@Jim_The_Fish I also like to go back to comments made weeks ago before they were explained in the show so I can pretend to be right
“You want straight answers, ask a straight lady.” This episode has top tier writing.
To be fair even straight women don’t give straight answers…..😂
16:29 i like to think this is lilia waking up to her first ever lesson and finally being able to piece together the gaps she had in her childhood
"I loved being a witch"
😭😭😭
Lady Death is in the comics she's the reason why Thanos uses the infinity gauntlet to kill half the universe to impress her but it doesn't work lol
wait that's why he does it in the comics? Come on Thanos, what were you thinking
@@nanalove3819Honestly, though? Aubrey Plaza as Death? I kinda understand comic Thanos now…
At the end, she had her own coven.
Death in tarot means something like "a new beginning" or "you leave something behind and pick up something new". So, it just came to me but at the end of her road was death, she died and so her story began.
I was thinking either this or she is getting a chance to live through the gaps of her youth with the peace she learned in the trial. Either way, she’s not done yet.
Death, sometimes called Lady Death, plays a prominent role in Thanos’ story in the comics. Instead of using the Infinity Stones to wipe out half of all life to provide more resources for the surviving half, he did it to prove his love of her.
She also has a romantic relationship with Deadpool a few times
The best part of that is that Thanos blipped all those souls and lady death simply did not care.
I don't condone Thanos's actions, but... looking at Death, I understand.
I think the idea behind that final scene with young Lilia was that it was supposed to represent the point in her life where she claimed to have stopped having visions of her future, because the future she was seeing ended with her death.
Essentially, young Lilia was specifically having flash-forwards to old Lilia during her time with Agatha, and she stopped having the flash-forwards when old Lilia finally died.
Basically we have been following a young girl with coven slowing gain all the gaps in her lifetime then accepting her death.
Jen is dressed as the Evil Queen from Snow White
Specifically her old ugly Hag form, which is a neat play on how Jen’s a beauty product saleswoman.
I thought it was something early Disney.
@@sable-king2066exactly. The Queen makes a potion to disguise herself as the witch and another to poison the apple to kill Snow White… so of course the potions expert becomes the Wicked Queen. Agatha and Lilia I understand, but why was Billy Malificent? Does that mean he’s evil, or complicated? What’s the implication there?
@@graphiquejackI’m pretty sure it revolves around his powers and his image.
@@graphiquejack Maleficent was actually a fairy not a witch--sounds like another gay joke.
girl i watch all your marvel and doctor who reactions, you have come so far with the comfort behind a camera. ive seen you grow with the community, im proud of you
That’s such a kind comment to leave a creator. Thanks for putting good vibes out there.
Not me crying during this reaction like I did this morning when I watched the episode for the first time lol
I think she had to live another life like from the start since Death symbols a new beginning.
Billy couldn’t read Agatha’s mind in Wandavision because of the runes.
In this show, he can only read minds when the person has strong emotions.
He was able to read the minds of the people of Westview because they had a strong emotions that were suppressed by Wanda.
Episode 7
Billy: “Mom, my head feels really weird. It’s really noisy.”
I guess he’ll need to read Agatha’s mind as his trial in the next episode. And it’ll bring out Agatha’s story.
this is such a well written series and this episode shows all the details of how it's well written. Almost reminding me of Memento or Interstellar.
She lives her life out of sequence, so she lived her death and now living some more of her life
Someone needs to do a linear version of this show... cause now i want to see it as Lilia being kooky...
Bro.. The scenes in this episode are literally the scenes of all the prior episodes when she appears kooky put all linearly to view it from her perspective.. Have you watched the show? That means the entire season so far was written around Lilias arc because to everyone else her freakouts appeared super random the whole time.
what I would love is a non linear show like this episode where Lilia or someone like her lives her life out of order, and so we have to pick up clues with them to get what's going on. But I guess it would be hard for it to be understanble if everything is non linear, so maybe I should not wish for that.
I've seen two main theories for the very end: 1) given that the flow of time is an illusion, all of Lilia's life is happening at the same time. We view this as the end of her life because we watch the events of the trial as a "present" and her first lesson as the "past" but in reality her death and her first lesson are actually happening at the same time... and always have been. Or 2) that the successful trial or acceptance of her death has given her control over the skipping around and in the last few moments of her life she can consciously travel to & relive other parts of her life, essentially extending at least her mental awareness of life for as long as she wants. I think the first theory is more supported by what we see in the actual episode but both are comforting.
Regardless of what happens, I do hope Lilia didn't actually died yet. She is an amazing character and I hope we get to see her somehow in someway in the following season. (Heck, maybe the road or Billy subconsciously sent her out of the road like it did with Jen the moment she got what she wanted).
Anyway, of all the characters that died hers is the only one we don't see as a corpse or as a ghost; there is perhaps hope of a future appearance.
To see all the random freakout scenes of Lilia throughout the former episodes all bind together and make sense was so amazing. Incredible writing.. All those random freakouts were Lilia traveling back and forth the whole time.. So amazing. Give patti her Emmy already! ❤
Lady Death/Mistress Death is a real character in Marvel Comics. Thanos’ snap to erase 1/2 the universe in the comics was actually to please Death because he was in love with her. It’s a whole love triangle between Death, Thanos & Deadpool.
"Do the Salem Seven ever talk?" -- If they ever did, they certainly don't now.😀
this episode was my favorite episode of the whole series
had to rewind a couple times because I got distracted by your kitty cleaning themselves in the background, so cute!!! (also, awesome reaction as usual of course)
If Rio is supposed to be Lady Death from the comics, then no wonder Thanos and Deadpool fell in love with her 😂
the way Agatha acts is what makes it suspicious in thinking she hast actually been there before- but the way she acts also makes it more believable that she has been there before, the way she reacts to the trials when no one is looking seams like she is reminded of something traumatic if u look I her eyes i don't think she wold look that traumatised for nothing or if she was simply lying she his relying on her reputation as the villain and I not thunk she would humanise herself for the other witches just because she was lying.
My favorite and also the best episode, writing editing and story was amazing.
The ending was beautiful
Chloe and Patti's faces display fear and worry at the beginning of the episode, and by the end, Patti displayed expressions of contentment as she falls for fulfilling her calling, and Chloe nodded in confidence to her maestra, as she now knows her destiny and is in full control. Genius writing and acting across the board.
Yes the Rio is Death aka Lady Death in the comics, she is an embodiment of death like when the Universe or cosmos was created. Basically Marvel's version of the Grim Reaper.
her “gaps” are actually her older self’s experiences
Emme you’ve been such a delight with this series. Followed you for a couple years and i always love how you watch these shows. Hope your spooky season has been fun! Thanks for the joy and entertainment ❤😊😊😊😊
This episode makes us wonder if Agatha is really telling the truth and whether Wanda is actually alive or not, and whether or not marvel will bring her back.
Love the wizard of oz references in this episode and can't wait for Wicked the movie to come out.
Crazy that this trial could have potentially of killed anybody.
We get lots of Lilia time travel and backstory which is yay and nay!
I sat through this episode and cried the entire time because I know what it feels like to feel crazy or unseen by society as a black teen.
This episode was a great representation of all those emotions and feelings!
This episode only has 6 maybe 7 minutes of credits to be precise.
The episodes are getting longer and we got the reveal of Rio being one of the Salem seven??? Or death even???
This was a great reaction to the episode and i can't wait to see more of your thoughts!
7:45 Jen is dressed as the Evil Queen from Snow White, after she transforms into the old hag.
Only 5 of the Salem seven were dead. I think the other 2 still alive. One of them can transform to a bird.
We see two bodies escaping the tower on the tarot card.
@@stevenmcmullan409 wow you are one good detector. Let me watch that scene again.
THAT was perfect television. Give Patti Lupone an Emmy.
Lilia said "Time is an illusion" so technically she will live on continuously through the past events. As will everyone in this universe.
Wonderful! You’re so full of light! It’s refreshing to find a non toxic UA-camr, congrats 🥂 ❤
You're still thinking about time linearly. She's doing this all at the same time. Everything, all of it, simultaneously. Nothing ended. Nothing started. She just is. And she said everyone is that way, they just don't know it.
Best supporting Emmy Award for Lilia
Patti has such a mind-blowing and good story in this episode and the show it all makes sense now she deserves a Emmy
Your reaction was so good. It made a brilliant episode more emotional seen through you.
Only ONE comment, and it's yours? That is evil.
Anyway, not really related to the episode (but it's amazing), I love your hair. I noticed the red when it first happened, but I've just never said anything about it until now. But it looks amazing.
Jennifer is dressed as the witch from Snow White
The best episode 🥺
The thing I caught is only five of the Seven died on the swords. Two never hit and black feathers fall when the five are implaled, so the crow Salem Seven and either the owl or cicada one is alive also and I bet they’re PISSED now.
Thank you, Emme! 🧙♀
William/Billy not considering Wanda his ‘mom’ is perfectly understandable. Remember, he still has amnesia and remembers nothing of Westview. He just found out within the last few days that he may be Billy Maximoff in one form or another and that Wanda may be his mother. All of that is circumstantial at this point. He has some kind of psychic connection to his brother, so that’s the person he’s out to find. Rebecca Kaplan, the woman who has cared for and loved him over the last three years, is his mom.
Amazing episode!!!
Death represents the end but also new beginnings. Agatha takes the Death from Lilia and places it sideways on the Queen of Cups, meaning her fate is uncertain (which is why we never see her die)
One of the best episodes of Marvel since at least the Loki season 2 finale.
In Marvel Comics, concepts like Death, Life, Love, Hate, Order, Chaos. Eternity, Infinity, etc., are actual beings called Abstract Entities. Such entities don't exist in a physical form, but they can manifest to people in one. In the comics Mistress Death is most often depicted as as a woman in a long purple or black hooded robe with either the face of a Caucasian woman with long dark hair or a skull with no flesh. Mistress Death isn't the same as gods of death like Hela (Asgardian) or Hades/Pluto (Olympian) or other such gods/goddesses of various pantheons, she is literally Death itself and WAY above them in the cosmic hierarchy.
Thanos was in love with Death long before he began searching for the Infinity Stones. It was her influence that sparked his planetary genocide. Deadpool was an object of Death’s desire because of his immortality and the number of deaths he caused. She has also influenced Mephistopheles.
There's an Agatha All Along Tarot Deck. I preordered it on Amazon!
This show proves that you don’t need a $100 million CGI budget to tell a great story. The show has clever writing, great casting, and just an overall interesting story. I feel sorry for the people who wrote this off after the first or second episode. I have a feeling this is going to grow in popularity and gain more views overtime.
I believe jen is the poison apple witch from snow white. The clothing and eyebrows match.
This is the best episode
I still love how "innocence" you are not knowing about Lady Death or the obvious theorizing about Rio being Death. I don't know the comics, but still did a lot of "research" on YT about the characters.
"i wanna get tarot cards of them!" july 8th 2025!
I looked it up after watching the episode - Jen is meant to be the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves in Hag form.
It looks like Jen might become very powerful because of Lilia’s reading saying she had immense spiritual power.
i watched this last night, now I come here so you can explain it to me lol 😅 also its cool how u know about tarot cards and witchy things
You got a new Sub!!!!
14:22 like a poet once said
Death, not metaphorically or symbolically or theoretically or in any other fancy way
No, Rio is DEATH, STRAIGHT. UP.
Hi Emme ❤️ your reactions. Many have fallen for Lady Death in the comics, like Thanos & Deadpool. The entire Infinity Gauntlet is because Thanos was trying to court Death…Lady Death.
Jen's dressed as the Evil Queen from Snow White. Notice how she's holding an apple?
There is no past or future for her. Remember she said time is an illusion so thinking about time as forward is wrong. For her I think there is only life and death with a mess of time between them.
Just a little bit of comic info, but with Aubrey playing Death, she has a permanent spot in the mcu now..unless they pull a "many faces" approach. Death is one of the four beings that created the infinity stones, and that thing at the end of the third Thor movie is another one.
Awesome episode! Gotta say, it's not a Tarot layout I'm familiar with. I hope so, cause if so, it's a lot easier than the two I've been using.
I might be mistaken but was Lilia speaking Spanish after her hallucination in the first trial when she rejoined Agatha?
Now we know it was her seeing her past when she had seen her coven's death coming. The lady instructing her in this episode is the same one who was dead in tgat hallucination and the cloacked skeleton being behind her was Death aka Rio just like the figure on the tarot card.
If so is this some sort of connection with how Rio spoke Spanish everytime she said goodbye to Agatha ? I think it happened at least twice throughout the show
I'm glad that they paid off the failed public transit system that Sharon referenced in episode 3
Failed?
@mackyronni yes. I used voice text and didn't proofread thoroughly. Thanks for catching that.
Presumably, lillia gets to live a bit in her young self's gaps in the instant before her death. Or at least that's what I took from it.
Jen is the evil queen that turn herself into a old woman
Thanos was a total SIMP for Lady Death 💀 That's what led to Infinity War event in the comics
Knowing tarot, how accurate was this?
Im a novice still but from what i know pretty accurate!! The one that stuck out the most for me was the three of pentacles- i immediately knew it was about community when that first appeared
👍👍👍👍👍👍
I couldn't concentrate, the charismatic "diva of a cat" took all my attention away.
