I could cry and hug you, miss Natasha. I'm starting two strand twists on my 7 year old and her hair is long, thick, and low porosity af. You, madam, have the most helpful video I've found on how to part and stuff, so thank you so much.
How is that going for her? If you don’t mind me asking. I want to do my 8 year olds hair. I’m just not sure, she tells me she wants them but I’m nervous. I’m a year and 1 month loc’d myself 😩
@@Tizzleee I didn't actually loc it up permanently yet cuz life got busy, but I did use this video to get her hair mostly parted the way I'm gonna want it when we let it loc. Right now I just have her hair in the 2 strand twists all over her head, and I style them like I would locs, and they get refreshed when I'm able to for now. I feel like the transition is gonna be easier for my daughter cuz she really has hated getting her hair done but loves the look of a fresh scalp. Lol. I plan on getting the final parts done, washing and letting it go on its journey to loc'd life this or next week. I wish you good luck with your daughter!
@@Tizzleee And congrats on your journey too! Maybe give yourself some time to get used to yours and make sure you like them and share your loc experiences with your daughter and chat often to see if she still wants them while she's observing your hair change and shift. Once you're confident, then go for it....I think you're gonna love it and she will too!
I love the simplicity of this method. I've been maintaining my own locs and my son's locs for over two years now and my neice has always wanted locs. I've never attempted doing anyone else's and she asked me if I'd be willing to try on her. She has thick 4C hair like this young lady's and I hoped I would be able to find a simple tutorial that would help me get started. This was it! I'm nervous but confident that I can pull this off. Thank you so so very much for sharing this and keeping it simple!
They are pretty much the same. Rope twists is basically where you twist/twirl (similar to a coil) the two strands of hair as you do the twist. I hope this makes sense. But it’s also not necessary to do it.
what kind of parting system did you use in this style? thinking about getting my locs this way, and I’ve been natural for about 6-7 years and I have thick 4a-4b hair ❤
@@nicolareid6362 If you have med to light brown hair using henna will give you this beautiful auburn brown color she has. I've done it for years and got this richness. Greying now so have to use indigo and henna to get it.
@@napfreedom2153 I was watching some people on UA-cam using those products before. My hair is a 1b and her color is a #4. I’m keeping my hair black for now and most likely use the products u suggested if I decide to change my color because I love natural products. Thank you.

I’m so glad I could help! It’s super easy and doesn’t take long at all 💕

You can definitely do this it was super easy and didn’t take long at all. You got this beautiful!! 🥰
Im getting mine done next i love the size of her locs 💕
I love this size too 💕
Her hair looks great! Is that Brittany Jay? I'm sure she's gonna rock those locs just as she did with her loose natural hair.
Yep it is lol that’s my sister 💕
@@SincerelyNatashaxo oh ok, I love her channel as well.
Thumbs up for the afro! Gorgeous head of hair❤
I cut off my locs (3rd journey) in February but love watching locs installs lol.
Yes, she has a lot of thick hair!!
That brother in the orange is chilling hard back there!
😂😂😂 ready to go to sleep
This is awesome!!! Now I gotta redo mine
🥰💕
New subbie thinking about starting my loc journey it looks so easy to do
Hey girl!! Yes this is the easiest way to start locs in my opinion and doesn’t look as frizzy during that first year.
Hi this is absolutely beautiful my daughter is starting mine today question how would you do a retwist on this
💕 So make sure you retwist in the same direction that you do the twist. So if she twists to the right the retwist to the right as well.
These are perfect 🥺😍 my only question is what is the difference between regular twist and rope twist?
They are pretty much the same. Rope twists is basically where you twist/twirl (similar to a coil) the two strands of hair as you do the twist. I hope this makes sense. But it’s also not necessary to do it.
Now this is how i want mine beautiful ❤️
They have matured so nicely! 💕
Beautiful, how long did it take? My hair is much shorter and the density is far less as well.
It took about 6 hours ♥️
what kind of parting system did you use in this style? thinking about getting my locs this way, and I’ve been natural for about 6-7 years and I have thick 4a-4b hair ❤
I honestly didn’t stick to a certain parting system but I guess it’s similar to brick layer parting. I hope this helps 💕
What directions were you twisting..planing doing mine the same
I believe I was twisting to right in this video.
Update on her locs?
I’ll try to do an update soon!!
do you braid it first then twist it ? or do you just twist it
I just two strand twisted the whole thing because I personally don’t like braids for starter locs but I have seen it done before.
@@SincerelyNatashaxo thank you ma’am
Did the you stretch the hair beforehand?
She had blow dried it a day before
I would love to know her hair color.
Her hair was a dark brown and then she put a blonde dye over it and this is the result but now it’s full blonde. Hope this helps 🥰
@@SincerelyNatashaxo thank you so much for responding and it does.

How many locs in total?
I can’t remember the exact number but I showed the loc count towards the end of the video.
Thank you so much!
@@bubblzT you’re welcome!! ♥️
Finally someone shows me a good way to part 🫶🏾. Appreciate you 💕
Glad you enjoyed the video! ♥️
