Godzilla really doesn't deserve to be here. I found the film to be very compelling and vertical emotional. But I pretty much agree with everything else.
Mitchell Whyte Godzilla doesn't deserve to be on any bad list... but yet I keep seeing it on a fucking bad list! It kinda pisses me off because I really love that film!
Alright, I'll comment on what I think of these movies that I have seen: Noah: I personally fucking love the movie, but will admit though your reasons for hating it are valid. I still find the story of Noah very interesting. Though I would say the creator is the asshole, not Noah, as he's just doing what he says. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Yeah, I know most people hate the movie, but I fucking love it. And consider the director of the movie to be an underrated director. Annabelle, Paranormal Activity 5 and Transformers 4: Yeah, screw these movies I hate them with a passion as well. Godzilla: You might get some shit from the fans of the movie, not from me though as I respect your opinion. I do love it, but understand your reasons for hating it. Overall a very intersecting list.
The Top 15 Worst Films of 2014 is the first video I’ve seen from FilmMasterAdam and it’s a good thing I haven’t seen the majority of these movies. On top of that, Adam is a funny dude.
I can see why you didn't like Godzilla but I personally loved it. It might have something to do with the fact that I'm really not a big Godzilla fan and this movie came at it from a perspective unlike the other movies.
Quite surprised Adam didn't like it - all Godzilla fans I know (including myself) love it. Adam claiming it has terrible direction, giving it no praise for FX, music score or acting, is just him being a sore loser. Heck, if he is such a big fan of the original, he should be able to pull out the clever metaphorical aspects of this new one but he doesn't... because he's a hipster that's against the system of Hollywood (and that's why we love him and rants).

Okay, I disagree with you WHOLEHEARTEDLY on the Godzilla part. 1. Ford is an EOD (Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit). I have a cousin in the army who knows people who are given that task. Their jobs are to disable bombs in the off chance there are no armored minesweepers in the area. That is one task that is just as bad if not WORSE than being on the front line armed with a gun because one slip-up will result in you splattered all over the place. 2. Godzilla 2014 is NOT SUPPOSED TO BE AN ACTION MOVIE! They are staying true to Godzilla's roots. In other words, the 1954 film. 3. Godzilla has always had that amount of screen time in ALL OF HIS MOVIES. This is no different. 4. This movie got everything right that the 1998 movie got wrong. Godzilla's origins in this film are a straight up cherrypicking of his incarnations and put into a blender, his design, while different, is still very faithful to Godzilla. He has his atomic ray, he is indestructible against human weapons, he towers over a good number of buildings. Look I can't do enough justice here. Just watch this video. ua-cam.com/video/-7eMMDqL2Mo/v-deo.html
***** At least the human characters weren't annoying like the 1998 movie. Also, there was characterization in the movie, it wasn't spelled out for you. Also, I didn't go in expecting to see a lot of Godzilla in the film, I went in hoping for a Godzilla movie done right in terms of structure and that's what I got. The humans had layers to them but you had to follow along with the story and their motivations. Ford isn't just trying to go back to San Fran because there are monsters running loose, he's trying his damnedest to go back to save the rest of his family because he was helpless to save both his mom and dad from dying due to Hokmuto and Femuto (okay, mostly Hokmuto since it took until 2014 for Femuto to hatch) and he didn't want history to repeat itself. Besides, there are PLENTY of Godzilla movies which have uninteresting characters but I'll settle for dull and bland over annoying and stereotypical like the 1998 film ANY DAY.
Adam, what were your thoughts on The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 and The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies, after seeing that your didn't care for the first HG but liked Catching fire, and hating both of the previous Hobbit films? I would be interested to know :)
Solid list. I actually loved Maleficent and Godzilla but everything else sucked.

Good list Adam.......I didn't think Trans4mers was that abominably awful, I've gotten use to Bay's shtick by now. Still, I ain't saying it's good. I'll have my TOP 5 list up on Friday - Seán.
I can see your point about Godzilla, I see your point about the character, But all I cared about was Godzilla and I wasn't let down. I think at this point with Micheal Bay, I think you should just stop watching the movies that come out. You know that there going to be bad just don't watch them. And this coming from a person who like Micheal Bay.
In your Top 13 Comic Book Films Worse than Batman and Robin, you put I, Frankenstein higher than Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Here it's the other way around.
Dishonorable mentions: Son Of God, Lucy, No Good Deed Top 10 worst movies of 2014: 1. Ride Along 2. Legends Of Oz: Dorothy’s Return 3. God’s Not Dead 4. Tammy 5. The Pyramid 6. Let’s Be Cops 7. If I Stay 8. Blended 9. Into The Storm 10. The Rover
To be fair Legends of Oz isn't that bad. For adults, yeah it is. But it is pretty harmless for kids. Like every classic Disney sequel except Little Mermaid 2 and Cinderella 3.
Before I watch, I must say, I'm glad you've decided to do the Worst list first; I've always preferred it that way. As I always say: worst for first, best for last.
***** You know have you seen his Top 15 Worst Movies of 2013? I think it was on UA-cam or Geekvision, he did a full rant on The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and I really laughed my ass off XDDD
While I don't think that Godzilla 2014 is one of the worst films of the year, I definitely agree with you in most of your points. The problems with it were caused by its director, Gareth Edwards. Trust me when I say that his previous film Monsters is one of the most boring movies I have ever seen and makes Godzilla look like freakin Star Wars!
Cheer up, Adam, because this March The Blockbuster Buster will destroy Age of Extinction for his 200th episode. And believe me, I feel your pain because I saw the movie myself and it bored and annoyed me to no end. The only good thing about it is Mark Wahlberg, who is a million times better lead than Shia LaBeouf, but not even he can save this bloated and unnecessarily long mess of a movie. And the fact that it's the highest grossing movie of 2014, defeating Guardians of the Galaxy, Days of Future Past and The Winter Soldier (WHAT THE FUCK!) makes me cry; God, I can't wait for ERod to annihilate this piece of shit. It's gonna be so therapeutic.
Jacob Voronkov And he's actually believable when he does it. If it was LaBeouf using that alien gun, I probably would've laughed my balls off, but Mark Wahlberg can pass for a legitimate action star. And the movie itself would've been just a little bit better if Cade had said at some point "Come on, Optimus, take an interest in science."
Adam I was in pain too when i saw Age of Extinction.ITS TOO FUCKING LONG!Thank god that Joss Whedon is gonna give us Ultron in Avengers 2 to erase the memory of Transformers 4.
Hello again Adam! I thought you thought Age of Extinction and Ninja Turtles were just as bad as one another. That was the time you and Stormsink were reviewing Turtles and (I think) he said that at least there was one thing to enjoy in Age of Extinction but nothing to enjoy in Turtles. Now I am hearing you enjoyed the actors behind the Turtles in the Turtles film. interesting... oh, also, just out of curiosity... how come you never bring up the music of a movie? That to me is one huge thing to make opinion on, not just in movies but also, as someone who is more of a gamer, in video games. For example, I think the music of Medieval II Total War is one of its best features, and that the music of Battle for Middle-earth II was the absolute only good thing going for it. In conclusion, I liked watching this list but I really had this one single problem with your reviews that I just needed to get out of my system in one of your comment boxes. By the way I hated the Giver book as well! Thank you for realizing how horrible that silly excuse for a novel is! And thank you for reading this, ~KP UPDATE [6/15/2015]: The kid you were speaking of in your Transformers rant must have thought the dinobots were not in the film.
Battle of the Five Armies was not on this list. I think he may have actually liked it. It may be another set of Star Wars Prequels for him with 2 strikeout and a home run.
I agree on these false pretentious movies that are so inaccurate and have no purpose.FUCK BAD RELIGIOUS MOVIES IN THE FACE!Your not gonna top the epics from back in the day.
My Top 12 worst films of 2014 (because I haven't seen enough bad films that yeah to really make a Top 15): 12. Godzilla 11. The Inbetweeners 2 10. Muppets Most Wanted 9. The Expendables 3 8. Divergent 7. Lucy 6. A Million Ways to Die in the West 5. Maleficent 4. A Long Way Down 3. Transformers: Age of Extinction 2. Mrs Browns Boys D’Movie 1. Annabelle
I am extremely surprised no one comments on how much of a shameless rip off "The Giver" is to "Equilibrium". Except "Equilibrium" was much more badass. And much better performed. And executed.
If he had seen that Hercules movie that came out in January. I think it might have been his number one. But i'm just glad he didn't put the new Hobbit on this list.
When they say the new Godzilla is like the original, they mean the tone of the film which is dark, gritty and realistic, plus the anti nuke stuff. So of course the plot isn't like the original, it's not a remake. G2014 is a flm that you have to participate in the experience, not a "sit back, relax and enjoy the ride" kind of film. And about the other films having more interesting characters, if you are talking about the original along with the heisei films then you're right, if you are talking about most of the showa films, not so much. But yeah, everything else on this list sucks though.
Not only that, but some of the best Godzilla films are the ones where the humans *are* the main focus. Godzilla 1954, Mothra vs. Godzilla, Terror of MechaGodzilla, Return of Godzilla, Godzilla vs. Biollante and GMK are PRIME examples of this.
I am so glad I went to see Dawn of the Planet of the Apes instead of Transformers. The fact that Michael Bay is still making billions despite his movies getting worse and worse makes me want to hire Agent 47 from Hitman to assassinate him before he makes another film! I don't even give a shit if the investigation will lead back to my whereabouts thus getting me into prison, it'll be fucking worth it just to save cinema from the horrors of bad entertainment!
I loved both Godzilla & Annabelle. Godzilla, I thought was fucking amazing as all hell! & Annabelle... I found it interesting! But I am a huge killer/possessed doll fan & I really do love that doll so... yea... It lives up to be 1 of me favorite movies.
I have to agree with Ian Greene about the Godzilla movie. But one thing's for sure it's better then the other American version. Now Melaficent, I think it's getting flack because people are not seeing this as a 'What if/remake' that's how I see it and that's why I like this movie. Yeah there's flaws but you can't blame the actors and actresses for it.
What were your thoughts on Mockingjay: Part 1? For me, it's my favorite at this point for the same reason Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was your favorite at that point. The other two were driven by the Hunger Games and the political conflict behind it. This was driven by the conflict as well, but mostly by the actors. Jennifer Lawrence has never been better than in this film.
one of which I disagree with. I honestly don't understand why they nominated Kelsey Grammar for worst supporting actor. The villain he played was more cliched than Malekith from Thor: The Dark World, but I still enjoyed his performance.
12. The Nut Job 11. Rio 2 10. Maleficent (I completely agree with you on this movie, but I think you hated it more than I did) 9. TMNT 8. 300: Rise Of An Empire 7. Noah 6. The Other Woman 5. Let's Be Cops 4. The Interview 3. Transformers: Age Of Extinction (I'm glad I didn't see this trash in theaters. Would've been a walkout for me) 2. Sex Tape 1. Draft Day
***** I kinda liked things from the second film Shia to be honest and Linkin Park had a great song but the fourth film was just a 3 hour crap fest that I can't even name nothing good about the film.
10. I, Frankenstein (Though, it wasn't AS bad as I thought it would be.) 9. Edge of Tomorrow 8. The Wind Rises 7. Annie 6. The Legned of Hercules 5. How To Train Your Dragon 2 4. Boyhood 3. Under The Skin 2. Godzilla 1. The Other Woman
@filmasteradam I did like tmnt I do agree they did copy the climax from amazing Spider-Man completely nice thoughts though I see why some people hate the movie
If you couldn't stand what was happening in Age of Extinction, why didn't you, I don't know, get up and leave? I'm sure you could do that, right? Granted, I don't know how rules in cinemas in America differ from ours, but still, you could have tried.
Godzilla was so boring why did they give directing duties too the asshole who directed Monsters that director focuses way too much on uninteresting characters when they had good characters that they killed off or put on the back burner I especially hate the "daddy home cake everyday" kill me man I loved Pacific Rim compared too this at least that movie was fun and entertaining
Damn right! No movie in the past has EVER disappointed me so much!! P.S: Transformers 4 might be a bad movie but at least the action was freaking entertaining.
15. Hmm... The only films I watched in the genre that this film is in is Titanic and the first half of Pearl Harbor. and it's kinda obvious which of the 2 I liked more so... yeah! 14. YES!!! THE GIVER IS ON THIS LIST!!! I F*CKING HATE THAT FILM!!! THAT FILM SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS!!! 13. Never was interested in that film. 12. I watched a few Godzilla films and watched some of this one and yyyeah I can see where your coming there. 11. Did films based off of the Bible go downhill since the Prince of Egypt??? 10. I can see where your getting at with poor CGI. Seriousely I've seen 1980's films with better CGI then this 2014 film. 9. Huh... and this film came out durring the same year that the first 2 FNAF games came out. 8. Never heard of the franchise this film is in but if you say it's the worst then okay. I'll avoid it. 7. Watched the trailers. Wasn't interested in it. But yeah it kinda baffles me that this is a Disney film and it came the same year where we had Big hero 6. BIG HERO FREAKING SIX which also is a Disney film. 6. Is it as bad as X-Men origins? 5. YES! In my opinion that IS the worst movie that we ever had in 2014. Great job Michael Bay. You just put a large stain on the rightful franchise that it's based on. FUCK THIS FILM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT SSSSSSSSSSSSSSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU (BTW in mt opinion, I'll take both Amazing Spider-man films anyday) 4. Yyyep. Bible based films certainly got downhill since the Prince of Egypt. I feel so sorry with any child of the new generation missing out on 2 really great films and instead dealing with this film unless they have a parent who grew up with Prince of Egypt of a Grand parent who grew up with the Ten Commandments. 3. Never watched the film. 2. I'll take Wicker Man and Ghost rider 2 anyday over this. 1. Yyyeah i never liked any Transformers film done by that damn Michael Bay fucker.
How was this Godzilla compared to the 1998 abomination. As much as I like Roland Emmerich, that just sucked.
He mentioned the "original" Godzilla from 1954. Not the 1998 bullshit.
"In the time it took someone to piss, the dinobots had come and left"
This line made me really glad I found this channel.
Godzilla really doesn't deserve to be here.
I found the film to be very compelling and vertical emotional.

7. Lucy
6. A Million Ways to Die in the West
5. Maleficent
4. A Long Way Down
3. Transformers: Age of Extinction
2. Mrs Browns Boys D’Movie
1. Annabelle
Well for me both Lucy and Godzilla were guilty pleasure movies for me. Good effects. But nither one of them had real characters or a real story.
Child's Play was about a doll, and it was still scary and very good. So making a horror movie about a toy is not necessarily a bad idea.
I didn't grow up with Sleeping Beauty so I liked Maleficent but I can see why you hate it.
Speaking of which, I'm hoping this new Hitman movie is better than the first.
Jacob Voronkov
Yeah, I'm gonna call bullshit.
I loved both Godzilla & Annabelle. Godzilla, I thought was fucking amazing as all hell! & Annabelle... I found it interesting! But I am a huge killer/possessed doll fan & I really do love that doll so... yea... It lives up to be 1 of me favorite movies.
Hey filmmasteradam can you do a epic fail on godzilla 2014 thanks
Well... Transformers 5 The Last Knight STILL has Michael Bay directing...
Rest in Peace... Adam Jay
I liked age of extinction
Not me it is too long
Me too!!!
Although I am not saying that it doesn't belong on this list, but I did like Godzilla
That makes 3 movies on here that involved Michael Bay in some way, shape or form that came out this year. (Transformers 4, TMNT & Ouiji)
I'm curious on his thoughts on Hercules given his hatred for Brett Ratner.
I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate HATE Transformers 4!!!!!!
i thought is was almost the best film ever
AZUREGAMER521 bullshit
What were your thoughts on Mockingjay: Part 1?
For me, it's my favorite at this point for the same reason Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was your favorite at that point. The other two were driven by the Hunger Games and the political conflict behind it. This was driven by the conflict as well, but mostly by the actors. Jennifer Lawrence has never been better than in this film.
great list adam today transformers age of extinction is nominated for 7 razzies
one of which I disagree with. I honestly don't understand why they nominated Kelsey Grammar for worst supporting actor. The villain he played was more cliched than Malekith from Thor: The Dark World, but I still enjoyed his performance.
Nicholas Maslennikov
i also dont understand why he was nominated for that either i also enjoyed his performance and i actually dont mind the movie
12. The Nut Job
11. Rio 2
10. Maleficent (I completely agree with you on this movie, but I think you hated it more than I did)
9. TMNT
8. 300: Rise Of An Empire
7. Noah
6. The Other Woman
5. Let's Be Cops
4. The Interview
3. Transformers: Age Of Extinction (I'm glad I didn't see this trash in theaters. Would've been a walkout for me)
2. Sex Tape
1. Draft Day
Trans4mers is the main reason why I am so worried for Transformers 5.
Honey Transformers 2 would get you worried for Transformers 5.
+NAVEMAN3 Transformers 2 was better than the fourth film.
Deric James Not by much but yeah.
***** I kinda liked things from the second film Shia to be honest and Linkin Park had a great song but the fourth film was just a 3 hour crap fest that I can't even name nothing good about the film.
Deric James Now that we can both agree.
CAN ANYONE STOP MICHAEL BAY FROM RUINING MOVIES?
18:40 WTF?! that picture of prime does he have Breasts now?! god damit i would hate to see what megatron would look like.
10. I, Frankenstein (Though, it wasn't AS bad as I thought it would be.)
9. Edge of Tomorrow
8. The Wind Rises
7. Annie
6. The Legned of Hercules
5. How To Train Your Dragon 2
4. Boyhood
3. Under The Skin
2. Godzilla
1. The Other Woman
Godzilla was amazing I love that movie
*spits drink*
Ridley Scott directed Exodus: Gods and Kings!??!?!!?
WHAT?!?!?!
No one bats 1.000 in Hollywood.
@@maxdresser2526 wdym by that?
I never saw the Godzilla movie from last year because it seemed boring.
Why was The Amazing Spiderman 2 not on here?
In my opinion Adam
Amazing spiderman 2 should have been in the top ten
Sadly he likes that film..
I like your reviews adam
Godzilla 2014 was amazing fucking AMAZING!!!!!!!
Where the hell is The Amazing Spiderman 2 at?
He likes that film unfortunately.
I fucking HATE both Amazing Spider-Man films!!!
You forgot The Legond of Hercules, probably the worst movie I have ever seen.
So True.
Ive actually never seen it. Had no desire
Noah was a messed up movie
Jai Courtney is a bad actor, but he was alright in Unbroken. Also, have you seen Team Snob's review of Saving Christmas?
But wasn't that movie itself horrible?
Unbroken? No, I thought it was really good. Saving Christmas, yes, that is a horrible movie.
Nolan Vogel oh ok. Heard it was terrible
But, it was my own personal opinion. If you go and see the movie and thought it was terrible, I can understand.
Nolan Vogel I wasn't arguing with what you thought or anything
You've gotten so much older.
Godzilla wasn't that bad
Neither was Transfomers 4
Very true
I loved the Giver!
IT SSSSSSSSSSSSSSUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU (BTW in mt opinion, I'll take both Amazing Spider-man films anyday)
Great list
I didn't watch any of this shit.
7:42
I'd put The LEGO Movie on my Worst Film list for 2014.
