This is probably one of the best sounding distortion pedals I've ever heard, and your playing is a rare gem among other pedal demoers. Thank you for playing relatable material that actually gives an idea of the sound, instead of playing cheesy 80s knock off riffs or noodling.
Joshua R. Deal this comment seriously made my day so Thank You. I was at my shitty day Job daydreaming of doing anything else when I saw this and I appreciate your kind words on this and the Rat video! It's a killer pedal. A lot of the stuff I demo is traded or sold and this pedal was 100% NOT! I use amp distortion live but this went on the "keeper" shelf for recording. Thanks again!
Great review Joby. I’ve got the smaller PlexiTone single pedal and absolutely love it. In fact, I love it so much that I’m considering buying this larger version to try on a different pedalboard. Don’t worry about the new version using 9 volts to power it. The original PlexiTone that you have converted the mains voltage to +12v and -12v. The new version just features a circuit that boosts the 9v supply voltage internally to +12v and -12v. The end result inside the new pedal is exactly the same voltage and exactly the same headroom. For anyone interested, it’s worth noting that the larger 3-switch pedal has a slightly different EQ to the smaller single-switch PlexitTone: the ‘Single’ pedal has the bass tightened up a bit, as Pete Thorn mentions in his video.
Wow! Thanks first for watching and thanks for the Great Reply! I really wanna get my hands on one! This pedal is Hands Down the best sounding drive pedal I've ever played. Since this video I've used it on several recordings and every time the player is like WTH??? It's a beast! Thanks so much and Cheers!
This thing... this thing RULES! - Signal Path - Gibson SG (standard 2012) into Pedal - Into Fender Blues Deluxe (knobs Flat) Mic'd with 1 Shure SM57 - Recorded to Pro Tools and there is ZERO post processing.
@@walterpasaribu9325 Walter, I'm so sorry I never saw this until today. I have no noise reduction going on... The guitar in this video had humbuckers so maybe thats why it was less noisy than yours. It's a little noisy with my single coil guitars but not bad at all. anyway again youtube sucks at notifications so I hope this still helps you in some way!!!
+avispasentuass I haven't tried the La Grange yet but I've liked the Bogner stuff I've tried. I'm kind of over the moon for this thing right now. It pretty much sounds good no matter where the knobs are. Thanks so much for watching/commenting! I appreciate it.
If only all gear demos were like this one... Great job, man. Are the pickups in your SG still the stock 498t and 490r ? They sound stunning in this vid !
Thanks! Yup the SG is bone Stock. It is one of the weird ones with the Baked Maple fretboards and I love it to death! I adjusted the truss-rod ONCE in 2012 and haven’t touched it since. It has the circuit board crap in it which I’d like to get out but I’m waiting for something in it to break first since it sounds fine as is. I’m just curious if it would be even better without that garbage. Thanks again for watching and commenting, it is appreciated!

Thanks Buddy and Thank You for Watching!
I liked because I HAD to even things out from 60-1 to 61-1... 60 is a good number...
I appreciate your like, your comment and most of all you watching. Cheers!
