- The 959 Panigale was the real sportsbike for real riders in many ways - power, handling as well as price. But once the Panigale V4 blew the doors off the sportsbike world, it became the literal number two motorcycle in the range. But now Ducati are taking a different tack with its replacement, the new Panigale V2. The V2 is now Ducati’s top V-twin and its middleweight sportsbike - both are important markers for what the bike needs to be. So while the power is up by a smidge, Ducati has brought almost all of the electronics from the V4, that very, very delicious styling package as well as small tweaks to the handling package. How does that feel out on track? Shumi went to Jerez in Spain to ride the new bike.

955cc is middle weight? Then what is the zx-6r with a 636cc engine? A beginner bike? Screw all that what is my poor adorable Ninja 300 then? A perfect bike to fetch vegetables from your local market which is at walking distance :/

The older one was already a good bike and now it just turned into something awesome. All those electronics is sure to give you a lot of confidence and can’t wait to see one on road here in India
in the good old days, the climb up ladder used to be, 250, 600 , 1000cc (thats how i did it)
Now its become 150, 375, then a direct jump to 1000. Damn, thats one big jump.
And that heart in the mouth moment when Shumi said PD is giving away 5 Ducati bikes!!!! ROFL. Good one mate, damn good one.

At day time i work in someones else farm and at night i do a guard job in school. I take rest on saturday and sunday for becoming my dream come true....today i watch this video and i hope powerdrift give this bike to me... i take care of this bike like my son..

There’s no “problem” with the 959! It’s the bike’s character, that’s what makes it a Ducati and why Ducati fans love it! I wonder what would be your reaction to the older Ducatis, the Tamburini Bellas for example or the older air-cooled monsters. Man up! It’s a Ducati it’s supposed to be “hard”!

This is pretty much the perfect superbike. All the electronics, looks, and lights (yes I want to be able to see at night) of it's big brother, but rideable. I can't wait for the Streetfighter V2 equivalent.
The V2 Streetfighter might just be the perfect hooligan! ;)

I don’t understand how it’s a middleweight with a displacement 950cc, 150bhp.
I am most probably asking the wrong question, but how is a 959cc bike a middle segment, its almost a litre class bike!
'Almost'. The V2 had started out long long ago as a 748, but kept growing in size with every passing iteration. Today, it still has the soul of a middleweight, although the capacity is just an inch away from litre-class bikes.
Planning for this since a year!! Ducati has always been the dream!

My question is that bike is heat or not?
Because Ducati's 959 heats a lot in traffic. And this is latest version of 959 panigale i.e. V2.
If you do not fell in love with it, you are not alive. She is more beautiful than any other bikes in the world.
Why do u feel 959 is difficult to ride.
I use it as daily driver Nd on good twisties for spirited riding. Never thought I'll hear this. It's lighter then my2011 r1
It felt like a proper committed track tool. Now, it's closer to being an all-rounder :)
