Cade, I’ve watched several of these fitting videos and I’m curious as to why you sometimes don’t group your weapons? Also, why not turn off passive modules in your hud settings? Lastly, the audio sometimes cuts out in many videos.
I don't usually group weapons with long cycle times and for everything else it's just for illustrative purposes, so you can see what's going on. Same with passive modules, so you can see the whole fit. Sound is copyright issues(!)

Old video but I do find it interesting the difference in what people like and don't like. You said that the raven is not a very interesting ship but used to look a lot worse. I on the other hand have always loved the way this ship looks and is one of the reasons I started playing was after seeing one of these while a friend was playing and I told him I would play if I could fly one of those, way back when drake was op and you couldn't fly other factions ships
Used to be common to fit two small deadspace shield boosters, I cannot remember if if was gist or pith, but they worked well and at the time were cheap, I remember when CNR were rare and close to a billion, and deadspace boosters were cheap, now it (last time I played) has gone round and CNR's were cheap and deadspace rare and expensive, think they nerf'd the Russian farmers.
What I do these times facing several levels of opponents, is to target the battleships first, then the (much) lesser damage dealing cruisers. I fly a sentry Dominix with jump drive. Sentries do really good damage. With preparation, I don't need to warp out and in again, because of my skill levels and the MJD
I like to deactivate the MWD in fitting simulation as it won't be running all the time inside the mission sites, that way you can see how much cap regen you need for system/tank management
Yeah it's always good to experiment in turning various modules on and off to see what effect it has on cap! You rarely need everything running all at the same time. 😎

Not on this channel yet, but here's a classic L4 sniper fit. With my skills this gets 862 DPS with fury missiles (plus 100-150 from drones) out to a range of 140km (missiles actually go to 167km but targeting is 140). You could swap out a missile guidance compute for a sensor booster to extend that target range out. For sure, damage application can be an issue but then most Battleships can field a full flight of light drones to take care of frigates and destroyers as you smash the larger ships with torpedoes.
Skills should be enough to get you there, but you can fit "enduring" versions of as many modules as you can. And remember that the auto-targeter is never actually activated, it's just kept onlined to give you extra max targets.😎
One oversight, 2 dedicated Shield hardeners would use 40 GJ of cap per 10s cycle, 2 multispectrum use 64 GJ. Also, never consider MWD in your cap calculations, you can fight without it, so essentially if you swapped out to the 2 dedicated hardeners and didnt figure the MWD in you can be cap stable with out all the dead weight of all those cap modules/rigs or your implant. Also consider a MWD has a capacitor capacity "bonus" of -20% so you lose cap due to fitting one. Better option is a MJD plus an AB using 2 low-slot missile computers to make up for the mid-slot missile computer. You do lose a little bit of range but applied damage goes up, and it tanks more, longer range and better applied damage, not to be confused by raw dps, there is a difference. Even though my fit only has 4:20 cap duration it can always MJD out a ways take a breather if needed, but with being able to tank more than twice the dps of your fit that is not likely to happen.

The fit is interesting to play with. But t2 ammo makes me think that the expences will be too high to make L4s a viable option to make money. But i must agree that running missions will bring more fun than semi-afk cruise+mjd fit.
In my Raven fit, I dropped the cap mods for targeting mods so i can target out to 240 km with a 225 km missile range. They can't hit what they can't lock lol

Yes very probably!! Pretty much throughout this series I have neglected to jump into an empty clone with no implants, so your DPS and cap life etc may be a bit different.....my bad!! 🥴😵💫 But then cap doesn't need to be stable....it only needs to last long enough to accomplish the task at hand and you only rarely need to be running every module on a fit at the same time. 😎
Hey, I've just finished my required skills to proparly battleship, do you have a specific raven cruise missile suggested build to run L4 missions??? (preferably not slow af - microjumpdrive is nice)
This here will work; upgrade everything to tech 2 as your skills/wallet allow! 501 dps from the missiles but using faction ammo bumps it up to 576. Targeting range 140km, missile range way in excess of that(!) You could replace one of the guidance computers with a sensor booster if you really, really need more targeting range. For reference, if everything was tech 2, this does 862 dps with fury missiles. The tech 2 fit replaces one of the capacitor rigs with a warhead calefaction. I'm not 100% sure but this character may have a 3% cap implant. You could always just take something off a low slot and throw on another cap flux coil.
@@CadePlaysGames I checked again and I think it is something funky with Pyfa. I'm currently training the skills on an alt for this ship. If I switch back and forth between an all level 5 and the alt the cap goes back to stable. Very odd. Thanks for the video.
Passive shield makes your signature radius huge so you take more damage, which can make it worse than an active fit. Lots of extenders also chew up your powergrid and can restrict your fitting options. Since all battleships got a 2x buff to extenders, passive does make slightly more sense now; it's down to personal play style. 😎
There is a Sig radius module now, but if you get a high buffer through high resists you dont blow your sig radius into orbit as much and can get way more dmg specific HP that way. EHP is way over-rated and should never really be used unless fighting sleepers or in PvP. For some reason I see a lot of people who forget to boost resists really high, it even helps out with armor reps/shield boosters ability to keep you alive. 80% resists mean a 100 hp/s booster would keep up with 500hp/s of incoming damage, 50% resists will only keep up with 200 hp/s.
I fly a Vargur, and see no reason to spend another billion isk on a Golem that would perform about the same. 🤣 Golem are excellent ships though (well all the marauders are super OP for L4 missions in the current meta).😁
@@plebantv5754 Not sure if Titans would get through the mission gates. But then people have been using Carriers for L5 missions for years. Marauders are so powerful now that they can solo (some) L5 missions.
can you show a drene fitting like Miasmo or Dominix for Lvl 4 missions? I've been runing lvl3 with miasmo and T2 Médium dones without any issue. I dont have to move cus I cant tank all the damage, but Im not sure if I can go against lvl4. Please help.
that's the dumbest fit i have ever seen on a raven, you never need torps in a L4, nor do you ever want to use a microwarpdrive, you're signature radius will be so large you won't even have a tank
The point of this series is not to be perfectly efficient. Otherwise it'd be nothing but snipers. This series is about having fun and doing different things, including silly meme fits. And it still works, because regular L4 missions haven't been updated in living memory. 😎

I find that Torps look good on paper but in practice they are bad for so many missions with masses of Cruisers & Frig around.

Do the Dread pirate sites still respawn on the first 2 like they used to, was one of my favourite sites when they did that.

EHP is way over-rated and should never really be used unless fighting sleepers or in PvP. For some reason I see a lot of people who forget to boost resists really high, it even helps out with armor reps/shield boosters ability to keep you alive. 80% resists mean a 100 hp/s booster would keep up with 500hp/s of incoming damage, 50% resists will only keep up with 200 hp/s.

I fly a Vargur, and see no reason to spend another billion isk on a Golem that would perform about the same. 🤣
Golem are excellent ships though (well all the marauders are super OP for L4 missions in the current meta).😁

Marauders are so powerful now that they can solo (some) L5 missions.
can you show a drene fitting like Miasmo or Dominix for Lvl 4 missions? I've been runing lvl3 with miasmo and T2 Médium dones without any issue. I dont have to move cus I cant tank all the damage, but Im not sure if I can go against lvl4. Please help.

that's the dumbest fit i have ever seen on a raven, you never need torps in a L4, nor do you ever want to use a microwarpdrive, you're signature radius will be so large you won't even have a tank
The point of this series is not to be perfectly efficient. Otherwise it'd be nothing but snipers.
This series is about having fun and doing different things, including silly meme fits.
And it still works, because regular L4 missions haven't been updated in living memory.

@@CadePlaysGames dude, with that fit, i bet you lose a ton of ravens, you have no damage control, 0 shield extenders, you're using a microwarpdrive, wasting 2 mid slots for targeting range when you don't even need them in L4s, you're just asking to lose your ship, you call it fun, i call it losing ships, the first time you get webbed, you're fucked

@@CadePlaysGames bullshit, the first time you get webbed is when you'll lose your ship using that fit, and 10 years ago, ravens didn't have the buff they have now that has very recently made them viable again in missions
