But you do know that artillery is not about the damage per second (dps) but all about the volley a.k.a. alpha damage? DPS just don't matter when you can oneshoot frigates, destroyers or smaller cruisers!
Hello there! Thx for the video. I have a question. In the beginning of your video you fit the Maelstrom with 8 1200mm Artillery Cannon II. You load them with Phased Plasma L. And then you get 342.2 dps. I do exact the same thing but still I only get 162.7 dps. Do you have implants or something that enhance your damage? Thank you for your time!
Yes sometimes in these videos I forget to change to an empty clone, so I may have a damage boosting implant on. 342 and 162 is a big difference, far more than an implant would provide. So it's mainly a skills issue. Surgical Strike, Rapid Firing, Large Projectile Turret, Large Artillery Specialisation and Minmatar Battleship will all affect the damage output of this Maelstrom! 😎
@@garethj1123 This may have been one of the videos where I forgot to jump clone into an empty clone before starting....I did that all too often on this series(!) If PG is the problem for you, perhaps change the tracking enhancer out for a power diagnostic? OR you could reduce the Ambit Extension rig to T1 then upgrade the Current Router to T2? Or it could be a skills issue. Advanced Weapons Upgrades reduces PG need of all weapons by 2% per level, so at level 5 that's a big saving of 10%. 😎😎
