I just found your channel. Your attention to detail is great. I’m just starting my build. Got a 99 civic hatchback shell. I’m goin to get a k24. I’m stuck on the subframe. I’m going to get a Eg or dc subframe but was wondering if you recommmend power steering or not? In the future I hope to do some circuit/track racing so I’m not sure if power steering would be beneficial for that.
So with the dc subframe do I just order a manual rack and pinion for a Eg civic and use with the nrg bracket or is there a specific manual rack for the dc?

Got a metal plate with mine when it ordered one recently. If I had to guess, it might be extra material from when they CNC-cut the piece. I kept mine near my toolbox in case of emergency. But the NRG tech bracket fits no problem and has no issues thus far.

Wont those bolts rust since you wire wheels off the zinc coating?

Sorry for a noob question but why to change water pump on k24?
On a Jdm k24 the water pump housing and alternator are different and won’t let you mount the k20 idler pulley to delete the power steering.
@@oemworx4147 hybrid sells a new pulley with spacer that lets you run all the jdm components
@@fzam1234 yes and a very nice piece. In this case the customer wanted to relocate the alternator for cleaner look.
